    When did this brand come out? I still use the original plastic snakeboard . All I did was change the plastic foot plates to the wooden foot plates used on the dimension streetboards. Had some tweeking to get them to fit perfectly but it functional and love it. I may have to add these boards to my collection. Awesome.
    In addition....I like that new foot toe hook thingie. never seen those before. Need to get a set.

    Awesome! I wonder how a long bar would perform on a cruiser board.

    I’m wondering how easy/hard it is to foot break while the trucks are horizontally independent of each other. Slowing down is an important part of going fast

      Thanks for stopping by! It’s one of those skills that you pick up as you’re learning to move. We have a “learn to Streetboard” playlist that goes through the different options you have when it comes to slowing down and stopping. ✌🏻

    Are freestyle dragon boards like rip sticks? I’m thinking on getting a freestyle board but I already have a ripstick so I don’t know if I should spend the $500 on a freestyle board

    • @DraganBoards
      @DraganBoards  Год назад +1

      Similar but not exactly the same in movement. If you can move on one, you have the foundational skills to move on the other. It will still take a bit of practice. The big difference, especially with the freestyle boards (The Dragan Pro & The Dragan Classic on our website) is that you can attach bindings and perform spins, airs and slides just like you would on a snowboard. If you don't like the idea of bindings, we do offer toe hooks so you can jump off easily whilst still giving you the ability to hop up and down curbs. You can also get a lot more speed on a streetboard and once you get the hang of it, you are able to accelerate very quickly.

    Are toehooks and straps interchangable or are they exclusive to each model? If not, is it easy to come out of the strap?

    • @DraganBoards
      @DraganBoards  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for stopping by! The toe hooks will fit on all our models. The bindings will fit on the classic and the pro boards, but not the cruiser. Taking the bindings off can be done quickly but if you’re worried about falling out whilst riding, there are 3 different velcro points so it would be very unlikely that this would happen. ✌🏻

    Curious can you put the wheels on the cruiser on your freestyle to do some street skating ?

    • @DraganBoards
      @DraganBoards  2 месяца назад

      Yes! You can put the cruiser wheels on the classic and the pro boards. When this video was filmed the cruiser came with larger non branded wheels that didn’t fit without slight modification, but all the current iterations are interchangeable. Hope this helps! ✌🏻

      @@DraganBoards Awesome thanks for the info the area I live in has some rough streets and the cruiser works perfectly been wanting to get the classic just so I can mess around with some tricks but wasnt sure about the wheels being able to work.

    I am 130kg and 180cm i would not do any tricks with my weight, but am i to heavy for this? I had these boards from streetsurfing with only one wheel in front and back. I love the feeling to ride them, but because of my weight the wheels rubber melts pretty fast and i get problems with the things holding the wheels (sorry my english sucks) These Streetboards look more like just toys so, i hope some one can answer the question or has some experience as a bigger person riding these.

    • @DraganBoards
      @DraganBoards  Год назад

      We do have a suggested weight limit of 250lbs but that is taking in to account that the person would be riding along more than just the flat. Going up and down curbs for example. You could potentially be fine on the cruiser board if you’re not doing a lot of tricks. The weight distribution is spread out so it would be difficult to imagine the same issue as with the ripstick.

    Question, is the structural integrity of the board not compromised from the drastic lack of material in the center area of the cruising board?

    • @DraganBoards
      @DraganBoards  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the question! No compromises in regard to strength. The custom toe hooks ensure that your feet are always in the correct position which is directly over the kingpin so most of the impact is absorbed directly through the footplate and into the truck and wheels. We also make the bar thicker on the cruiser boards to make up for the lack of surface area that you would find on the freestyle boards. If you’re using the cruiser board for its intended purpose you should have no worries when it comes to strength. That being said, we’ve had some of our pro team do some pretty hefty gaps in the cruiser and the board held its own! Hope this helped answer your question. ✌🏻

    • @eduardom65
      @eduardom65 Год назад

      @DraganBoards that answers my question perfectly, thank you very much. I didn't take thickness into consideration, I did not notice that.
      Another question, due to the slithering motion and the lack of swivels, compared to a ripstick do the tires wear down faster than say a skateboard or a longboard?

    • @DraganBoards
      @DraganBoards  Год назад

      No problem! Keep ‘em coming! So for the cruiser wheels, you’re not going to see a lot of wear. They are big and soft and unless you are trying to wear them down, normal use is going to keep you rolling on them for a long time. It’s hard to put a time frame because everyone’s mileage will vary. With the freestyle boards, the wheels used tend to be smaller and harder. Mileage again will vary but the pro team will probably change wheels every 6-12 months depending on the terrain.

    Did you guys used to skateboard before getting into this?

    • @DraganBoards
      @DraganBoards  2 года назад +1

      Mostly no. Most of us really were attracted to doing something different and unique. A couple were looking to cross train for other board sports like snowboarding.

    How durable are the freestyle and cruiser boards? Some parts look 3d printed and seem a bit breakable

    • @DraganBoards
      @DraganBoards  2 года назад +2

      Hi! So we used to have 3D printed trucks. However we now have them injected moulded so a lot more durable. We are in the process of updating this video. Thanks!
