Oxalic acid is for mite treatment, not hive beetle infestations. For the hive beetles, you can either get hive beetle traps that you fill with oil, or just plain swifter sheets that are fragrance free. I live in Wisconsin, so hive beetles are not as much of a problem as they are in the south, but I know when a hive is still small, they can take over. Oxalic acid can be used in the fall for winter bee survival. Good luck, beekeeping is very addicting! 😊🐝
We dont really get many hive beetles in california, but I will add that Russian bees will kill hive beetles and are really good at keeping out mites. Which is why I am using Russians in my hive.
I dont have italians because they are prone to robbing and they also eat a lot more and we have such a long season they will eat all the honey they gather and I dont get any. We nearly have a year round bee season, with mutiple flows, we have one in december-january for eucalyptus. @@CountryLivingExperience

The honeybee population varies throughout the day and will impact the inspection count...
great video thanks!
Seems like anytime I space my frames I get wonky comb. I only space 1/8-1/4” what am I doing wrong?
I learned that they need to be tight with no space

Nope, I hope to have grandchildren one day and I do not want them to have to grow up in a communist nation.
