This movie is awesome! One of the five collaborations between Denzel Washington and the late Tony Scott. I forget exactly, but if you go through all the details in the movie you realize that what we're watching is Doug's 3rd or 4th time attempting to time travel and stop the bomb, only this time he succeeds.
Very enjoyable reaction, the banter and convos between the two of you is always a joy to watch. I'd forgotten how riveting and engrossing this storyline was; superb film.

I'd also like to express a pet peeve : even in high end big block busters, the actors are given EMPTY coffee cups and try to fake it.....soooo obvious and poorly executed. Just sayin
So hard to find great Time dilation/Time travel films but this is up there with the best, But i still hark back to the late 1970's when a couple of films really stood out, Time After Time with Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen is classic time travel with HG Wells and Jack The Ripper a flick that never left my mind, And Somewhere In Time with Christopher Reeve and Jayne Seymour is a classic no CGI just great premise

I am curious as to why you think Jim Caviezel is a terrible person IRL. I think the same, for my own reasons (he is a godtard, is against abortion, and is pro Qanon), but wonder why you think so. It is a shame because he is such a good actor. Person of Interest is one of my fave series too.
For me, I loved his acting in POI, but then I heard so many horror stories about how he acted behind the scenes of that show. There was a podcast dedicated to stories from people that worked with him and it was pretty brutal. His later politics didn't help my image of him, but for me it was the other stuff that ruined him for me.
