Having watched this entire series in the past 2 weeks, I can confirm I was screaming at my screen when you put JR and Ventura together on Commentary as in the very first episode you tried to put them together on Saturday night only for them to not get chemistry which is why you bought in Callis Secondly if you want to see a more detailed breakdown of why you're losing the monthly battles (although you'll probably win this month) then go to the battle screen from the office rather than the hub page
Also, if you want a cheapish way of building your women’s division popularity, have all of your women appear on-screen in amazing rated angles. If you put seven of them out there on Saturday Night with a Sting or Dusty, they will slowly gain popularity. You can also use the storyline effect modifier to boost their momentum (major positive storyline effects on segments give their momentum a decent starting boost). Probably not the purest form of popularity gain, but it is effective.
I know we can just have them stand next to people, we will extremely be doing that with all Japan guys and Jesse Ventura lol. But I'm probably not going to have them just stand next to Dusty for no reason and stuff like that, we don't need to cheese it they can just get over.
Fox had/has plenty of coverage in Canada. It was one of my most-watched networks growing up in Ontario in the 80s/90s. TNN started getting distribution sometime in the mid 90s. I remember TBS showing up as a premium cable channel at some point along the way, but my household wasn't paying for that, so I don't know. WCW never made it onto Canadian networks (aside from a brief 91-93 run on TSN for Power Hour, until TSN picked up Raw for the next 15 years), so it was only with the TNN/TBS penetration that they were able to break into the market. Anyway, I love that you're making inroads on cable access television. It's a foot in the door. If you ever get the chance to move onto something bigger - even if it's only available in Ontario - take it. Ontario & Quebec are the only regions with worthwhile spillover, in Canada. Oh, and that was an absolutely killer Starrcade. Interestingly, that big run of 90 matches at the start were probably being limited due to match length. You didn't open up the dirt sheet until one of the last in the 90 train, and one of the penalties was the cap for being a short match. I'm guessing that 15 minutes is the threshold in your product for world-class matches, although the cap not hitting until a 90 renders it pretty meaningless.
at some point we will probably just buy a company with decent pop in canada and take their deals lol as for match length in the early matches....if they got penalized it couldn't have been for much lol.
@@SwarlesFPR Yeah, the match length thing isn't a penalty. It's a cap. A match under that limit maxes out at 90, which is why there were like 5 in a row with identical scores. And yeah, if you can find a Canadian company with any popularity to buy, that would be the way to go. We didn't exactly have a thriving indy scene back then....
Good job swarles ! One thing about some of those matches is that you should make the matches longer if you have some Time left for your PPV. Since you are pushing good workers, normally you should get better ratings for your matches and then crack the holy 100 rated PPV.
Especially if you've got two guys with good psychology, you can double the match lengths you've been doing while using the Slow Build note, without worrying about stamina. Putting that and Open Match on the big matches will get you to the three-digit grades.
@@GregMcNeish this is one of those "playing the game vs. real life thing" - i dont book really long slow build matches because i personally don't really like them lol. but yeah i can see why that would do well, especailly for this time period.

I don’t know if you saw it Swarley, but something I found funny was that the AJPW Triple Crown has only been defended 3 times in the two years the save has been going on, once by Kobashi and twice by Jumbo (it might even be less if some of those defences were before the mod began). Was it not being defended because of the other active primary belts, or was AJPW as bad with their triple crown as ROH was with the Pure title in the AEW save? Also, have you thought about what you are doing when TEW IX comes out? Because it’ll take a while for mods to come out for the game, will you stay on 2020 or transfer a game-state database and convert it for the new game?

Can you do Tna from the beginning in 2002 the Asulum years? And see how far you get until your company dies?
maybe if there is a good mod for that era in TEW IX! I did a 2003 ROH save on the channel but i didn't really like the mod, it was pretty incomplete.

Yeah I definitely could have gone longer on like steamboat versus tenryu. I'm not sure how much stamina Vader has but it's probably more than I think.

Unless I hear that the database transfer works really well or something I'm probably just going to stay on 2020 for WCW. Not sure about aew yet
