Finally, a player portraying the wonderful Rickenbaker bass sound. I don’t know why most Rick players like to apply saturation and distortion to this bass in particular when you can really funk it up.

@@FernandoCastilhosbass I have a 4003, never used the mute or tried to dampen it might give it a try. :)
@@stephenclarke4675 the mute its actually not engaged here. If u look closely u can see i used a piece of sponge between the strings at the bridge.
I also never really used the mute myself, it is a bit clanky and awkward to engage.
How are your tone and volume knobs set up on the Ric? Are you running the stereo jack? So deep yet so much grawl to the strings. Glorious.
@@ebeyslough im using the mono out with both pickups at full. I have the bridge pickup tone all closed and the neck tone all open. 👊🎸🎶🔥
