Bet you make it look really easy... never fly fished but just been bought a fly rod and reel for my birthday... Im an avid angler, in the summer target chub and rudd (get them 3lb+ round here) just found some flys that look like a big chunk of bread online what ive ordered Thought this would be a good starting point as bread chunks on the surface is what i use to catch them Can't wait for the 16th of june when the seasson starts and i can get on the river and drains
Thank you, but I’m definitely no expert. Just in the right place at the right time!!! Good luck on your fly fishing journey. I’ve not used any of the bread flies, all my Rudd have been on small dry flies. I’ve not had any chub on the dries yet, might have to give it a try this year
Hi Andy Nice little video, thanks for sharing. As I tell everyone else who does this it does take time and effort on your behalf. I certainly enjoy watching all anglers fish especially for coarse fish on the fly. Question: How do you rate that Sunray Fly Line as opposed to others you use? Really any better? I have never used a sunray line. I used to use cortland or Rio and more often Wychwood. All good to be honest. Floating obviously Beautiful little reservoir as well. Look forward to seeing other videos. Tight lines David South Wales
Hi David, glad you enjoyed the video. To tell you the truth, this is only the second 4wt fly line I’ve used. I really like the sunray line, cast really well. I know some people don’t like their lines but I do. Hope that helps!
