I have myrrh as well as benzoin and frankincense to burn on charcoal discs. With respect to myrrh, I almost prefer the smell when you drop some of it in boiling water and let the smell come with the evaporation of the water. That smell I find wonderful, almost healing. It is not smoky of course, because in this case there is no resin burning. I find it kind of sweet, to my nose even with some cocacola vibes.
The only one I recognize here is Fève Délicieuse, and I agree, it is a delish fragrance. It's never on display in the shops where I am. But if I ask for it, they fetch it from somewhere at the back or take it out of some drawer.
In a previous discontinued fragrance video, you mentioned Maison Margiela Replica Lipstick On. On a recent post from the brand, someone commented saying they miss this fragrance, and the brand replied saying “Stay tuned, you might have good news very soon!” I hope that means it is coming back!!
Did you change your camera again or maybe different lighting? The video looks brighter and sharper, especially the background. I love Gucci Guilty Cologne, so I'm a bit bummed that they discontinued it but it seems as though it's still readily available at online discounters. How does Une Rose Chypre compare to Phi Une Rose De Kandahar? I love Andy Tauer's creations, such an underrated perfumer. I find Phi Une Rose De Kandahar is very jammy and syrupy as well, so perhaps they're similar?
So very happy to have Myrrhe Imperiale, Equipage Geranium (SOTD), Criminal of ❤, Feve Délicieuse, Alchemist Gardens & Parco Palladianos in my collection 🥰
You recommended a few fougerés for me to try, a few weeks back. Bracken Man is an absolute hit. Don't know how it got passed me for so long. Can't believe it's not selling though. It's fougeré defined...just warm and completely rounded off. Not totally out of reach though...not yet. Plenty of decants out there, and a few bottles too.
Jazz Prestige was the best iteration of the three in my opinion; however, Pierre Boudin’s Live Jazz cannot be denied - my wife’s favorite ❤ Any recommendations for modern, available alternatives to Live Jazz?
Sadly I haven't found anything equivalent to Live Jazz in the modern era. It's so original and so good. I'm sure brands can emulate today but wonder why? I wonder if it's the coriander note which has a classic smell to it. Go figure.
@@ThePerfumeGuy the cilantro opening of Aqua Media had a touch of that vibe, but the base for me was far too hyper-musk and clean - overall it’s just too sharp compared to the rounded Live Jazz, with that touch of vanilla at the end MAGNIFICENT! As an aside, got my hands on a sample of Un Air D’Apogee . Are you still quite fond of it? I’m seeing some correlation to Tabac Tabou - but Violet feels more “designer”? Not that that’s a bad thing - just perhaps more mainstream in profile compared to the Parfum d’Empire (read: more generally appealing). Think it’s the waxiness of the mimosa
I'm old school (60). So I miss NU by Yves Saint Laurent, Black Cashmere by Donna Karan, and Plum Japonais ( I found enough to equal 1.7 oz through 4.0 to 10 ml bottles)
The only one I know from the list is GUCCI GUILTY COLOGNE and the first time I smelled it, don't ask me why, it made me gag, I was in shock never a fragrance give me that reaction, never tried it again, it was a very unpleasant experience. I really wanted to try Fève Délicieuse but if it is no more I will leave it like that. Thanks for the video Sebastian!!!
I went on Dior’s website after your video about Feve Delicious being discontinued and it was still there. I put it off for a week and went back to buy it and it was gone. I ended up buying a 30ml decant from a website. Great gourmond and 30ml will last me forever because I rarely wear them.
Amouage Bracken Man to me smells like a better version of TF Beau De Jour. I have a private blend bottle and upon spray they smell almost identical but the dry down of Bracken is so good.
Attention: Dior Fève Délicieuse is NOT discontinued! It’s what you would call “region exclusive”. It has slowly stopped being available in the US and other places which might experience the lack of availability of it, because there’s already a huge selection. It’s an exclusive scent for the EU & Middle Eastern market as of now, so NOT discontinued.
I've never tried Tom ford's original Noir. I think I would like it. I also want to try Noir de Noir. As far as Tauer Une Rose Chypre...man, I want that one so bad. I love Tauer. When I first discovered him, his house instantly became one of my absolute favorites. Unfortunately, though, I was late to the game and missed Une Rose Chypre. I also wish I could fine Incense Flash from his Tauerville line.
Escada Casual Friday is one of my favourites. Luckily you can get close by layering Mauboussin Homme with Lempicka Homme. I compared to my 5ml sample of Casual Friday, it's close and not worth spending hundreds on a rare gem
Margareta Ley (escada) was sublime and I miss it so much. Also in the mid 80s I loved Byblos in the most beautiful bottle. But I have a question: is it not risky seeking out something older and discontinued? Would the fragrance not be deteriorated? I mean even ny every day perfumes go off (especially the Diors) after about 6-9 months.

oH WOW
Amouage has been my number one house for so long owning 25 bottles but the recent decline in fragrances is very evident and alarming!😢
Agreed. Their current direction is a pedestrian mess.
Same with Tom Ford since Estee Lauder purchased the brand
😢😢 Tom ford for me. Nothing worse than buying fragrances and knowing it’s not worth it’s price.
Specially their last release King Blue, it smells like Blue Cheese
…and considering the price, not worth it for me too!

I miss JHL and Live Jazz too. Still on the fence about Bracken Man. But I do like these discontinued fragrances vids!
Bracken Man is 🔥
Sebastian there are quite a few that I need to add to the collection!! I do have a few already!! Great vid as always 😊

Was able to get Myrrhe Imperiale…probably my favorite from prive line along with Cuir Majeste. Great scent!

Oh you gotta get your nose on it.
That's one hell of a collectuon in itself 🌟

Here in Brasil, Fève Délicieuse is still avalible in the stores and webstore, in all 3 sizes. Thinking about getting a 250ml one...
Oh yes, probably overstock fuck get it while you can!!
@@ThePerfumeGuy Fuck yeah 😂
Also in europe, its still in stock
I’m a woman and I want to try that Gucci fragrance for men. Sounds lovely.
Thanks for sharing 😇

I live in paris and fève délicieuse is still sold at the departement store suce as galleries Lafayette or le bon marché
Oh good seems only in the states!
If you live in Canada and are looking for a bottle of bracken man you can get it at scentrique perfume shop in Vancouver, they have a few bottles left.
OH cool
I bought the last 2 Myrrhe Imperiale bottles ever sold directly by Giorgio Armani in the US. Still have one bottle factory wrapped.
Love your videos man you talk about shit i never heard of
I would love to try Myrh Imperial! Have you tried the new Penhaligons Line? I have heard they are AMAZING!
The presentation of The kilian was quite sth!! 😂😂🤐🤐🤐
I’m sad I didn’t get to grab Voice of the Snake before they discontinued their collection.
Fèves délicieuses is still available in Printemps, and Le Bon Marché, CDG airport and most probably everywhere else…
Okay good. Not here though!
Amouage gold has been my most sumptuous scent for many years.

Might as well be discontinued if you don't travel to EU and Middle East! :)
I need those Killian handcuffs! 🤣
LOL

Interesting. Might give it a try!!
Well, I have full bottles of Hermes Equipage Geranium, Amouage Bracken Man, Aramis JHL out of this list.
Margareta Ley (escada) was sublime and I miss it so much.

Seb, any plans for revising DS & Durga line of fragrances sometime in the future? Thank you!
Hopefully yes! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy meant to say reviewing. Sorry and thanks again.
Buy boadicea iceni if u love myrrhe Imperiale. I have both and while I love myrrhe Imperiale and love iceni even more.
Fille en Aiguilles is back in stock at Serge Lutens if anyone is interested
I've always wanted to try Violet Disguise but now I have no idea where to find her. Big IA fan but I slept on this and then it was gone.
Alien Oud Majestueux for me 🌹
I got my feve delieuse 250 ml after your video one or two years ago, and I’m looking for smaller bottle 125ml but I couldn’t find it
I was just in Paris and they are still selling Feve Delicieuse. I wish I saw this video before I left.
Oh bummer but I wish you saw this video and I announced it months ago: ruclips.net/video/zTDTH93ExZA/видео.html
I really wanna know what Tom Ford is thinking!!! Discounting, raising prices and watering down the fragrances!!!
He sold his brand
@SCLana I know that's why so many reformulations and price increases and watered down formulation are happening..
How does equipage geranium compare with, say, geranium pour monsieur?
Amouage is discontinuing some of their masterpieces! 😡
Luckily I still have full vintage bottles of them all! 🥰
Which ones?
@@jimlittle5769 To my knowledge Beloved, Bracken, Fate, Figment, Imitation, Myths, Sunshine and maybe even more..
@@wutru3142 Thanks man!
I found out yesterday from a sales rep that CAFTAN from the YSL private line is discontinued 😒
Do you know where I can find Cheeky Smile?
THAT IS A BUTT PLUG!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I found Over the Musk at FragranceBuy last month
Cool there might be some stock out there still.
Ever try Acqua di Selva?
Original noir is awesome
Yes quite good.
By from Dolce & Gabbana
Why do companies make regional exclusives seems like bad business
Hermes Un Jardin apres la mousson is discontinued too.
I thought they brought that back? LOL! Cannot keep up!
Great video and I enjoyed it and I like Gucci Guilty cologne and I'm going to try the other fragrances if I can find them and have a blessed day
Armani Diamonds
In notino
Does the Criminal of Love ❤️ Bottle come in the shape of a b*tt plug? Tell me y'all peeped that😂😂
Don’t think I saw that one, but there were three other fragrances in the collection.
