My first in 1996 was a Motorola, afterwards Ericsson Gh388 and then in 1998 a Bosch. Seems that brand even hasn't made this list so their market share must be tiny. Coca Cola did offer a lot of free Sagem cellphones here in Europe by the end of the '90's which made almost every teenager have/want one. Also not included in this list?
The data is wrong. Apple was never #1 in global market share. Perhaps they sold more phones than Samsung in a particular quarter, but Apple was never #1 in overall market share in any quarter.
Yes, I was surprised by this also. Pretty much everyone I know has an Apple phone except me. But it seems like they have too many limitations to certain apps that I don't.
Apple is little expensive for most average people that is why will always struggle to have a slice in the international market, verses Chineese brands for example
Idk what shocked me more, the absolute Juggernaut that is Samsung, the fact that LG cancelled their smartphone production right when they started to gain market share, or that somehow Microsoft had managed to get 14% of phones to be windows phones at one point.
Incredible to see Motorola was always at the top spots and never fell off the market. My favorite is Motorola and I'm so happy with my new Moto Edge 40 neo.
My first phone was Siemens C35 in 2006 I think. Now I using Samsung since S6, but I think the phone price now is ridiculous, there is no big difference between models and prices from space. In most of the countries you can buy a 15-year-old car for the price of a new phone. Mind blowing.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The first one I saw in the wild was 1991, one of those huge brick phones. The guy said he was paying around 3k a month. He docked in a base in his car. I think it was a Motorola.
Prolly right that it was a Motorola, especially if it was in the States. 2G had just been introduced to the consumer in 1990, though like you mentioned, those phones and the service for them was expensive AF.
There are many countries in the world where, at best, if people buy a flagship phone, they get a few generations old one. Everything they launched in world's leading economies that didn't sell gets sold at lower price point in less advanced economies.
The new blackberry movie is really funny, but also shows how and why it was possible for blackberry to suddenly just disappear - the company was literally a group of weird guys in a warehouse trying to make phones with internet in them, and somehow they managed to sell millions of phones lol

Google pixel 8 pro( my next cell phone in future) but days of nokia 3310 never be again😢😢😢😢😢
Apple in 2012: "We're no longer exclusive to the slow-ass AT&T network" *relevance boost* 📈
Also not included in this list?
what are you talking about?
Iam from Europe and Ive never heard about sagem at the end of 90es
If you don't believe me, look up 'coca cola gsm' in google and you'll see 🙂
My first mobile phone was Sagem 😂
My first cellphone was a Trium, also missing in the list 😅. I guess those brands werent known that much to not appear on the list
I've been using Samsung since 2005 ❤
I honestly thought Apple’s entrance would be more dramatic. It barely made it to the top very briefly too.
@@1ShopSnipeMaybe because the majority of the world's population is not American?
@@samfaheem8977 Ye, other companies sell phones as low as $200. This is why apple is the no 1 company in the world
My phones: Motorola->lg>nokia->nokia->samsung->samsung->samsung still in 2024. I think next one will be samsung too.
Idk what shocked me more, the absolute Juggernaut that is Samsung, the fact that LG cancelled their smartphone production right when they started to gain market share, or that somehow Microsoft had managed to get 14% of phones to be windows phones at one point.
Those Windows phones from Nokia were good phones, but Microsoft totally messed that up. They could've been the third competitive mobile OS.
Incredible to see Motorola was always at the top spots and never fell off the market. My favorite is Motorola and I'm so happy with my new Moto Edge 40 neo.
I have a samsung s23 ultra, and I'm so happy about it,that smartphone is a beast!!
My first phone is Nokia 5110, and i was using it to throw my neighbor fierce dog. And the phone still worked till today
The only Apple product in my home comes from the produce department at the grocery store.🤣
I will not use another cellphone other than a Samsung, the best smartphone ever 👑
That xiaomi make samsung decrease from 30% become 20%
My first phone was Siemens C35 in 2006 I think. Now I using Samsung since S6, but I think the phone price now is ridiculous, there is no big difference between models and prices from space. In most of the countries you can buy a 15-year-old car for the price of a new phone. Mind blowing.
Watching Samsung and Apple duke it out over the top spot made me laugh.
Switched from Samsung galaxy to iPhone 12 about 3 years ago. Really happy with the solid hardware and heavy phone compared to Samsung
Why did you downgrade twice?
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The first one I saw in the wild was 1991, one of those huge brick phones. The guy said he was paying around 3k a month. He docked in a base in his car. I think it was a Motorola.
Prolly right that it was a Motorola, especially if it was in the States. 2G had just been introduced to the consumer in 1990, though like you mentioned, those phones and the service for them was expensive AF.
Nokia...
Feel sorry that LG does not manufacture them anymore. .
I had 2nd gen lg chocolate phone.. really loved it
I had LG G3 the best phone I ever had.
It is more than security in apple
The software and hardware os match
Which only 1-2 Samsung phone shows it
@@ankitcool3I completely agree. Coherence of OS has quite merit. For software developer who uses macbook, it becomes bigger.
Doesn't oppo, Vivo, 1+ and realme belong to bbk??
I like how every time Apple took first place Samsung was like "oh no you don't" 😂
information for background song please😮
7 Out of Top 10 Brands in The World Are Chinese. I'm Using OPPO.
Incredible China ❤
Samsung ❤
What is the data source for the video?
Can you share background music name?
Where is Sagem ? The mx-3 and mx-5 was a banger 😅
Mindblowing camera quality for that time❤
How did LG get 0,45% in 2023? Their phones are not produced since 2021
Refurbished phones lol
There are many countries in the world where, at best, if people buy a flagship phone, they get a few generations old one. Everything they launched in world's leading economies that didn't sell gets sold at lower price point in less advanced economies.
They are probably still selling some just within South Korea
The new blackberry movie is really funny, but also shows how and why it was possible for blackberry to suddenly just disappear - the company was literally a group of weird guys in a warehouse trying to make phones with internet in them, and somehow they managed to sell millions of phones lol
SAMSUNG The king of smartphone, with all its equipment, is durable and its camera is no less good than other top brands 👑

Mitsubishi made phones in the 90s I actually didn't know that 😂
Nokia & Samsung were d rulers during our college days, nobody even imagined during dat time dat Nokia will b vanished in coming days
My first cell phone was a Nokia 3310 then N73, N95 and used various Samsung models after that, Vivo and now I am an iPhone lover
3310 for life
Nokia N97 and Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus here😂
