The fish dish you ate on Day 7, Jeanelle is called Relyenong Bangus. It's a specialty dish you may see on special occasions here. The fish meat is deboned, grounded and mixed with ground pork. They sometimes add green peas and carrots in the mixture.

Tinapang salinas and tinapang galunggong are so good. Tinapang bangus is alright, bangus is better dinaing. We even make lumpia with tinapa flakes and tinapa tomato kesong puti pasta. This tinapa pasta thing was a trend a decade or so ago. One of the most underrated Filipino breakfast ulams for me. Pork steak is just pork bistek.

Traditional Filipinos would know that eating that small amount of rice is not acceptable. There should be more rice than the ulam (ulam - dishes) and if there's not enough ulam than add more but if you already have ulam finish it before getting more or you'll get the beating of your life (also rice is the most important part of every meal. Rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner) we also used to eat rice with some coffee powder or milo if we don't have any ulam or we just eat rice straight up
ALSO, that porridge could also be called lugaw
