Fantasy Island -Fantasy Guest Stars - Season 2 (1978-1979)

A quick glimpse at some of the Guest Stars that appeared on
Season 2 of Fantasy Island.There were many, as each episode
featured 2 or 3 storylines and subsequent guests for each one.An
Aaron Spelling production, it paralleled Love Boat and Murder She
Wrote in theme and style.Easy on the eyes,light on the mind,the
series concept allowed the writers unlimited creativity in scope,
time or mood.Sadly most of the stories were less than memorable,
and the series itself is remembered mostly in parody.Tattoo's
catchphrase "Da plane da plane" is burned in the cultural lexicon.
Some Fantasy Island factoids.
1.Very little is known about the man known as Mr. Roarke
2,There are hints throughout the series that suggest Roarke may
be immortal.
3.In the first film it was noted that each guest had paid $50,000
(about $200,000 in 2014 dollars) in advance for the fulfillment
of their fantasies
4.Aaron Spelling admitted the original pitch was a joke
5.Time-travel was often a required element
6.The only episode with a single storyline was "The Wedding"
in which terminally ill Helena Marsh (Samantha Eggar) returned
to Fantasy Island to spend her last days as Roarke's wife.
