Actually she joined the A team to bring down the A team once and for all because she thought they killed Toby. It was after she joined that Mona told Spencer he was alive and told her that once she delivered the other liars to her, she would get Toby as a reward. So she did do something in exchange for Toby, but that's not why she joined the team. She wanted to bring down A.

Because these characters are too prideful of their secrets. It's for the exact same reason why these girls do what "A" says. They don't know who it is, but they want to keep their secrets safe.

Redcoat wanted all of the girls, Mona and Toby in the lodge so she could finally show them she is Ali, and tell them they're after the NAT Club. Now, since the plan failed, Redcoat never made it to the lodge but the NAT Club thought she did, so they set fire to the lodge thinking Redcoat, the girls, Mona and Toby were there and were going to die, but they failed.

even if mona is lying the liars are not going to believe anything mona says. she deceived them once before and she did it well too, so this time knowing spencer she won't let mona screw them over again. one thing i do know is that they don't know who is in charge of the A-team even if they are on it, but you are right there was an A-team way before mona went to radley so she is lying about that. which makes no sense anymore since A is out to get her too.

I thought Toby and Spencer's plan was obviously just that-a plan, I actually laughed when he yelled at her.
When he screams it remainds me of that time when someone called Emily and told her to get out of that house, with Nate.I'm pretty sure toby is the one who called her:)

Lana Dilaurentis yes it did but people made many many copies of the bracelet Bethany and Ali where both buried that night, how you know the difference? the very first time we saw a hand come out of the ground the hand had no roots wrapped around it and the girl is waving around trying to get someone to help her out, while the 2nd time the hand came out a LOT slower than the 1st hand and this one had roots and dirt on it and was saved and pulled out I believe the girl who was pulled out was Alison and the one who was waving around, Bethany (wow I just realized how closely I’ve been watching this show) 😂
He was talking about how if the plan (Spencer sees red coat, red coat doesn't see her) fails, she knows what to do; get out while she can

in the books they both die, but Toby is such a huge part of the show i don't think they are going to kill him off mona i am not so sure.
so Basically the entire A-Team is just joining the A-Team to be on the A-Team and figure out who else is on the A-Team, which means there's barely even really an A-Team lol

Okay, but you have to admit they do lie a lot. To be fair, people are jumping to that conclusion because there were two redcoats that night that looked like Ali. The question is if they are both alive who got buried as Alison? Some people are thinking they changed the story slightly just like they did with Mona's. Some people are thinking they were triplets.
Just because she gets the text from A doesnt mean shes a victim, they are plotting it that way . Mona knew she was going to get the text theyve been on the team for this long why kick her out know ? she did nothing wrong . i truly believe shes playing along just to get on their side even more . everything was planned .

If I'm not mistaken, it was in the episode with the flashback when Mona and Hanna find that poster about Alison and her dad come and fight with Hanna. But I'm not so sure. One of the writers for pll said that toby started off on the A team because he hated the girls but then after he got to k now emily and spencer he was really on it to protect her. The writer then said that toby was saying the truth when he told spencer all that stuff in season 3 finale. SPOBY3
I hope Mona isn't lying cuz that would be stupid on her part considering she will be a victim next season. Maybe red coat was always wearing the Ali mask. Who knows? Hopefully, we'll get answers right away in June

Spencer to be a part of it AND at the end of the episode we know that Mona knew redcoat before Radley. Mona is a target next season but she is being targeted by the NAT club companions, not by the A team.

If Toby is good then great and if he's bad then great. I think that he joined the A team reluctantly and when he got involved with Spencer, that's when he decided he would stay in the team to protect her. That I will believe, but it doesn't explain why he lied to her about why he joined. Why would he join to protect her before he even had feelings for her, unless he meant he was trying to protect all the liars....
you don't really know that. jenna, shawna, and melissa are on the A-team, but none of them are the leader. and even if it was from them the A-team is coming for mona, toby, and of course the other girls.
Toby and Spencer are soul mates!! Why would he go for Mona anyways? Plus, the writers have said multiple times that Toby truly cares for Spencer. There was a recent interview with one of the writers, they are going in the direction of Toby and Spencer being endgame :D

nothing. It'd be her against everyone and that isn't possible. That's why there was an A team in the first place because she couldn't do it on her own. Toby may be on the A team for the wrong reasons but he is lying to Spencer. He's been pretty eyes since season 1 episode 15 so that means he was on it before he got together with Spencer. Before they were even accomplices. The NAT club tried to frame him for setting the fire. That's why when he spotted Jenna he got knocked out by someone
You guys are so confused. Mona and Toby were always on the good side.They were the A team that always saved the liars. The other team is the NAT club which are the ones who want the liars dead. The reason Mona said "I did everything you asked me to" is because she finally got Redcoat's trust. Redcoat gave Mona popularity in favor of her service. Then Redcoat got Mona in and out of Radley so she could mess with the NAT club. Everything at the lodge was planned.

The writers lie a lot and Toby lied to Spencer about being in it to protect her. He was on the A team before he and Spencer were even accomplices working against Jenna together. I love Toby and Spencer together and I think he does really care about her but I'm confused why he's acting shady and lied to her. Guess we'll find out next season.

Can you find the episode that was on. I'll help out. I've just watched Season 1 through season 3 episode 5 and there has been no mention of Mona going to Radley before Alison's disappearance. However, I do remember someone claiming Mona tried to commit suicide because of the torture Alison and the liars put her through. I don't remember this information on the show though. Someone on a message board said this.
i don't think she's lying about not knowing redcoat cus then why would A be after her too? they all got the text including mona and mona was one of the few to see redcoat's face. and she was very surprised.

not part of the A team he is part of the NAT club. Season 1 finale was NAT after the girls, season 2 was A team after the girls. In season 1 the A team had Ian pushed off the tower and then made his body disappear and framed her for Alison's murder. Obviously Ian wasn't on the same side as the A team. Yes they are all good liars and I never said Garrett didn't know stuff he wasn't supposed to know. That is why they killed him. Why would Redcoat have Mona killed? For knowing too much?
