Yeah, it's a bit rough for Asuka right now. I am still having fun with her but it really feels like they wanted us to play Reina or Jun instead.
You make zero sense what you juet said. So adula changes equals they want you to play reina or jun? What made you decide those characters???
@@CrystalMang0 Jun has Asuka moves built in, and Reina has a polar parallel to Asuka as well
@@CrystalMang0Let me quess your a newer asuka player and you think she's strong because your playing in low ranks lol also Asuka was originally a copy of Juns moveset, right now Jun has been incredibly buffed so she does everything asuka does but far better, but at the end of the day play whoever you enjoy
I think there's hidden potential with her here somewhere. The games brand spanking new after all. Maybe I'm being too optimistic? Anyways you know what you're talking about more than I do Fergus. Thank you for having us Asuka players' back
Game is new, but Asuka didn't get a bajillion new string extensions like everyone else. Instead, she lost roughly 10 strings, and her poor tracking still hasn't been solved. A character with unrewarding lows and poor tracking will never be good in Tekken. She's playing a different game compared to the rest of the cast.

I’m convinced Harada hates Asuka at this point the way he does her dirty both story AND gameplay wise
I am not even sure that it is Harada who is responsible for this. It feels more like one bitter dev acting on their own, that is how bad it is.
I really don't understand why they hate her. I mean, she's the MC's cousin so she has potential storywise, she has an interesting persona, cool moves, cool design, but they still won't respect her
Bottom tier for 20 years says a lot about how the Tekken dev team hates her.
Her gameplay is fine. Just complaining over anything. Also you need to realize shes lily rivaap and stop expecting her to be alo magic and stuff with jin at this ooint. Its okd.

Glad it's not just me, I feel like I have to play like a surgeon yet I still get Asuka hate messages in the lobbies. I enjoy Mainman's content but he's really poisoned the community on his bias against female characters.
Half of her move list is safe on block, so there’s that.

I really hate Asuka rn, I was hoping her character ending would be better but no. Even in story THEY MENTION HER BEING KAZAMA but it's not picked up at all, even Lili had more impact in the story
Her RA is pretty bad, her balancing is pretty bad

They damn near killed Asuka, she feels inconsistent 😢
They can nerf Asuka but they can never nerf the player.. veteran Asuka player like fergus will be able to adopt in no time

@@peculiar5422 They nerfed a character who never was better than mid-tier to the ground.
Biggest ones are probably that db1 is -10 (used to be safe), meaning that you have to continue it with a duckable high or a launch-punishable mid, SS2 is -13 (used to be safe), her unblockable cannot be used if you go into it through strings and some moves like 14 and 114 are completely gone.
Some say it is because they try really hard to push you to play Jun instead. To me it smells more like sabotage by one bitter dev.

Coming back to Tekken 8 I mained Asuka and got close to average this time I want to give it a bit more of an effort. But im really on the ropes with going back to Asuka... I don't like the idea that I might hit a wall not entirely due to my own lack of skill and just because other chars are just better. Also will you be doing any new guides on Asuka or is that unlikely?
Bro you new to fighting games ir soemthing? What dies other characters being stronger meaj anything? You may as well only play the top 1 character then with that wierd mentality
@CrystalMang0 More rewarding damage for less risky moves. Harder to punish mistakes. I mean it's pretty simple maybe you're new? It's not to say asuka cant win v equal skill is just slightly harder more so now than ever. At the peak of fighting this small advantage is what decides the game.
That being said I it's not because she is not the best it's because she is by far the worst. I am considering using a fighter that is either average or better.
we need to complain to the devs about asuka and bring her back to the glory man… unfortunate how she still doesn’t have a considerable role in the story
Asuka was never glorious 😅. This is the best she’s ever been.

@@paulpangilinan6671 she wasn’t exactly TERRIBLE, but she had tools everyone knew how to deal with. She was a joke. I main her, so it all hurts to say. But T8 did some justice to her.

Yes, you need to adjust. Dont know why yekkne players acting like they cant adjust to a new game with actual new changes.
I’ve only played T7 for like 15 hours so I have no idea what I’m doing, but I like Asuka’s animations and feel. However, I got warned from a pretty good player at a convention that she has pretty difficult execution, especially for a beginner. Is this true? Should I learn the basics with a less complex character in T8 and then go back to her after X amount of hours practice? I’m not at all looking to compete or push high rank, I’m an FPS player first and foremost, Tekken is just to break it up sometimes 😅

Def not the same Asuka but I’ll adjust fine. I went straight to online and noticed a few differences
He’s still using some bad T7 tech. Asuka ain’t that bad. The game just came out. Take some time and figure it out.

I’m having g fun with asuka atm but i must admit she took big nerfs coming from t7 😢 i do love some of her new tools tho but i know i will reach a skill wall as I’m already starting to feel it in red ranks. And come on man why say she’s jins brother and not give her a unique intro with him ?!
