I wish we got a movie 6 years before Logan to see all the x-men have a new mission to be carful around food and products that’ll target their mutant abilities
Nah, it was the far future of the good future ending to DOFP. remember, that movie reset the timeline and removed some events from the original 3 films, Origins, and their future timeline. It also changed the birthdate and time for Wade Wilson so he wouldn't be working with X Force during the late 80s..
And that was the main problem with the Fox X-men films from the beginning. The X-men are a TEAM, Wolverine though the most well-known by the public wasn't a character in series for over 40 years. The stories they were trying to tell didn't make sense unless you build up the relationships between ALL the members of the X-men and let the audience get to know them rather than focusing the stories around one to two people. That's why First Class is considered by many to be the best X-men film.
DoFP was set in 2023 and he returned to 2023 a mere 6 years before Logan. Logan is clearly on a pre-altered timeline that includes X1 as Charles mentions the Statue of Liberty in Logan
It's generally accepted that many of the same general events from the original timeline still happen in the new (post DoFP) timeline. There's no reason why the Statue of Liberty incident couldn't have still happened. Logan can't be in the pre-altered timeline because that timeline was a post-apocalyptic sentinel ruled wasteland in 2023. Logan is set in 2029. Logan is either in the new timeline or an entirely unrelated one, and Deadpool and Wolverine confirms that it's in the new timeline along with the rest of the Deadpool movies.
@@ItsOver9000Productions It makes more sense than Logan being the future of the timeline that was ruled by sentinels. It definitely doesn't fit the pre-altered timeline.
There is a theory which says that charles mentions the statue of liberty incident because he read logan's mind (the only person to remember the old timeline) and because of his dementia he thought it actually happened in his timeline
@@nex_ialist06 That seems like an unnecessary explanation that would be lost on most of the audience, when the simpler one is just that it happened in the new timeline too.

The reset timeline of days of future past doesn't fit with Logan because Charles said when he first met Logan he was a cage fighter, but that's not true as they met in the 60s when Logan told him and Eric off in the bar.
@@Mr_Smythes_Confections the director messed up. Logan was supposed to be the end of Last Stand Universe, a lot of references go back to the original trilogy and kind of doesn’t make sense in the days of future universe. Especially since they retconed the public ever knowing about mutants.
Maybe Charles read days of future past Wolverines mind at the end .. then later the dementia got him confusing his memories with another timeline of events .. plot hole fixed 💥 boom
Also that scene at the bar is set in the 60s so before wolverine changes everrything in the timeline, that means that that scene (and the whole first class movie actually) takes place in both of the timelines

@@hudsonlewer7486It's very confusing. Logan happens in 2029. DxW in 2024. Do you remember which year Charles killed the mutants in Logan? Deadpool is in the same universe of all X-men movies. In 2024 Logan is still alive and X-23 is 8 years old (she was born in 2016 I guess). So in the ending of DxW, we have 2 Wolverines and 2 X-23 alive. Wade traveled to 2029 after Logan passed away to prove he wasn't dead (because of the healing factor). But Wolverine was really dead. So I guess he searched a new Wolverine that will not die in the future (even after Logad death in 2029, 1 Wolverine will stills exists in this universe), but Paradox said that it's not how it works.
I think he always got poisoned by the metal in him but I think it got worse over time and also the fact the food supressing mutant genes could also be supressing his healing (which also makes him age faster)
Adamantium is a bio compatible perfect alloy. It can't degrade, break down or be broken, canonically. He isn't getting poisoned cause that means it would be breaking down and the atoms would be free floating in his system causing his body to react. He is just old cause his healing was turned off. Old people get sick, get slow, and take longer to heal.
This would be cool, if it werent already confirmed Logan takes place in its own universe, Earth-17315, while the original universe was Earth-10005 and the reboot universe is essentially E-10005B. Theres many many objects and references in Logan that are only found in the original universe, as well as ones only found in the reboot universe, and thus contradicts the possibility to be canon to either, so its ACTUALLY an Earth that diverged from the original one at an unspecified point in time.
Despite both Logan and Deadpool & Wolverine treating these events as direct continuation of previous X-Men films by 20th Century Fox, this reality was assigned a separate designation by the Official Appendix to the Handbook of the Marvel Universe. Because the events of Logan take place in 2029, they remain only a possible future from the perspective of the films chronologically set prior to that.
There’s a ton of theories of why Logan was dying: From his skeleton poisoning him, to the new ingredient they used in corn syrup, to his cells that held the healing factor simply going away from excessive use of his body healing up all his wounds
The modified food also messed with mutants abilities that were still alive. Think about it. It messed with Wolverine's ability to heal which is how the adamantium was able to poison him. Also what part of Xavier does he use his abilities with? His brain and that's what starts to go which is why he has those seizures. So in a way it was that company's fault that Xavier accidentally killed the X-Men.
I think Deadpool going back in time in Deadpool 2 and killing himself in the previous X-men film. And also killing Ryan Reynolds, preventing green lantern from happening. So it would make sense that the timeline would change, and thus Logan died before the movie Logan
OK, I love your theory. I would’ve loved for them to bring this up in the film because that was my biggest plot hole like cool We save the day and all but doesn’t this technically mean that there’s now two Logan’s in Deadpool’s world there’s no way that the events take place before the Deadpool movies if they are in the same universe
I love logan. But the backdrop of the movie of could have been presented in a way more detailed manner instead of "one day charles killed everyone". Same thing I kinda felt bummed about in Dp& Wolverine.. where we just get a verbal explanation from jackman of his tragic past
In my opinion, instead of showing a all new diffrent variant in DP&W then should've showed that Wolverine killed all the X-Men except for Professor X because Mysterio ( or any other character that can create illusions ) made illusions just like the Old Man Logan comic. And this should've took place 6 months after the events or DOFP. And talking about Professor killing the Mutants as mentioned in Logan, they could've just told us that he took the blame instead of completely retconing it. Then Deadpool would've come to take Logan's help and then the events of Deadpool and Wolverine would've played out similarly, it's just that we cam connect more with this Wolverine, he is the same Wolverine with whom we all grew up, not a completely new variant. And after DP&W, Wolverine would've appeared in Secret Wars and probably Avengers Vs X-Men, and after the events of those movies, they could've put Wolverine in the same timeline from where Deadpool took him, then thebevents of Logan would've played out, means the Logan which we saw in Logan would've already experienced the events of both DP&W and Secret Wars, so it won't ruin his death too. I know this theory has many flaws but writers and director of the movie could've executed well...
Idgaf what the director said. How i see it is that Logan takes place in the new timeline created in days of future past. And the original timeline still had a good ending.
He did not rewrite the time line. He created a new branch in the sacred time line. That is what made him the anchor character since he created it also causing its decay once he passed.
This is a double edged sword for Logan. With his Healing Factor, he has to see everyone around him die. Without his Healing Factor, Professor X’s seizure would kill him too, leaving Professor X in his seizure state. Logan is a tough SOB but deep down, he is hurting, something his Healing Factor cannot heal. There is a reason why he drinks since drinking usually drowns sorrow aside from the fact that he likes to drink in general as shown when Logan made do with a cold soda, courtesy of Bobby/Iceman.
Don't forget that the food in one of them was like holding back the mutants powers so that would is caused the adamanting poison that caused Logan to die because his regeneration was being like killed I don't really know how to sum it up without spoiling it too much in the lore

Here’s the issue, Logan has some major continuity errors that makes it almost impossible for it to be in the same universe as the Days of Future Past ending and also the other main films, despite what the director says. In Logan, it is said that no mutants have been naturally born for 25 years (with the exception of those created under government control, which even then are few). The film takes place in 2029, meaning that the last natural birth was in 2004. Days of Future Past takes place in 2023 (and 1973 as well, in terms of time-travel) and we see Wolverine waking up after the time travel mission is over back in a new timeline of 2023, where he sees mutant children at the Xavier school as young as 12 year olds (and possibly younger). Also, the Wolverine we see in 2023 of DOFP still looks good for his age and no where near the old age that we see him as in Logan, and I highly doubt that 6 years can age him that quickly with a healing factor, even if it was to begin failing him. And lastly, the film fits far better with events that occurred in the last two Wolverine movies as we see the adamantium bullet that Wolverine still carries around from Origins that was used to wipe out his memories, and also Japanese swords from The Wolverine movie. Even at the end of The Wolverine, Logan loses his adamantium claws and got his bone claws back, which doesn’t carry over into DOFP. Add on the continuity errors of this film and you start to realize that this trilogy exists outside of the main films.
Its the whiskey, whiskey is made from corn. Which the gov gmo-ed to include the anti mutant chemical mixture. The adamantium poisoning didnt age him. Both the adamantium poisoning and aging is because his healing factor went kapoot bcs of the whiskey.
I'm sorry, were people unaware that 'Logan' was set in the future? I thought they made that explicit in the script. I could be wrong, i don't have a lot of clear memories of the film. This just seems like, "Did you know that in Back to the Future, the Doc Brown from 1955 is the same Doc Brown who is friends with Marty in 1985?" 🤯
Ahahah trust me I get it. The confusion is, many believe this takes place in its own timeline and isn’t canonical to the X-Men series. I think because fans have a hard time accepting Xavier killed all the X-Men. But nope, it’s canon.
This is all true, though it does create a bit of an inconsistency as in Logan it's said that no mutants have been born in 25 years or something like that, but in the good future that we see at the end of DoFP (which is just 5 years before Logan) we see a school full of young mutants.
The adamantium poisoning would've still happened but slowly, the adulteration in food that kills the mutant genes boosted his adamantium poisoning faster!!
The poisoning (I believe) has been happening from day 1 (since he got the adimantium) BUT when he went to Tokyo.... that one guy cut his claws and took alot of his bone marrow.... so his regeneration isn't 100% causing the poisoning to slowly get to him
So we have Logen from Logan time line, which causes Deadpool to look for a new one, finding one from a time line identical to the OG time line but who refused to get send back. Interesting.
I watched Logan twice in theater, and would have watched it more had I been given the chance. I have watched it more than a few times since on disc, and it still crushes me to watch in the best possible ways. And it makes me more saddened to know that, this X-Men universe is dead. We adults just can't have nice things anymore.
The ending was very depressing and more depressing ending for Professor X in that all his morality and peace methods were wrong, it was Wolverine and his method of killing that saved mutants from extinction. Thus magneto was right, Charles should have used his power to be more proactive in ending threats like Dr. Rice
Thanks for this video I was getting confused with the timeline. I'm glad you used the correct word _led_ for the past tense of _lead._ Most people make that mistake.
To be clear its the future from the xmen timeline point of view, which was set in the past, but it was the MCU present, and the original marvel universe present.
My understanding is that Deadpool used the TVAs tempad to go to the future of his timeline. So the events of Logan did not happen yet but it will. Does that make sense?
Logan still has to be an alternate timeline. It only takes place a few years after the changed and rosy future from the end of DoFP, but is a reality where no new mutant has been born in 25 years. Xavier has a thriving school for young mutants but somehow none of them have been born in over two decades. It would work out fine if only the dates were ambiguous, but we know exactly what year both movies happen in.
Logan was literally the perfect ending to the movie, and to his legacy. I actually couldnt think of a better way to send him off. And also a GLIMPSE OF WHAT TLOU2 SHOULDVE BEEN
at this point, I think all the plot holes from dead pool wolverine were intentional on the part of Ryan Reynolds. it’s just another way for him to make fun of Marvel and the Multiverse convolution.

@@wanderer3004 I did but after Deadpool 3 they made a big about it.
Nah, it was the far future of the good future ending to DOFP. remember, that movie reset the timeline and removed some events from the original 3 films, Origins, and their future timeline. It also changed the birthdate and time for Wade Wilson so he wouldn't be working with X Force during the late 80s..
it is, the director has no control over the main line x men movies.
Wait what no
Yes. Wolverine is and was the main character of the XMen. He’s the beginning and the end of their storylines
They dont even have any other good characters XD
And that was the main problem with the Fox X-men films from the beginning. The X-men are a TEAM, Wolverine though the most well-known by the public wasn't a character in series for over 40 years. The stories they were trying to tell didn't make sense unless you build up the relationships between ALL the members of the X-men and let the audience get to know them rather than focusing the stories around one to two people. That's why First Class is considered by many to be the best X-men film.
@@huskytzu7709I was ok with dark Phoenix. Wouldn't mind a Storm storyline.
DoFP was set in 2023 and he returned to 2023 a mere 6 years before Logan.
Logan is clearly on a pre-altered timeline that includes X1 as Charles mentions the Statue of Liberty in Logan
Exactly. This doesn't make sense.
I’m still angry that people keep finding ways to “accidentally kill all the xmen”. Like, Jean grey, Scott summers, Storm, beast, etc and you’re telling me not a single one lives ever past days of future past. Thanks Fox.
The reset timeline of days of future past doesn't fit with Logan because Charles said when he first met Logan he was a cage fighter, but that's not true as they met in the 60s when Logan told him and Eric off in the bar.
True, but (in 2029) Charley's memory wasn't quite what it had been.
@@Mr_Smythes_Confections the director messed up. Logan was supposed to be the end of Last Stand Universe, a lot of references go back to the original trilogy and kind of doesn’t make sense in the days of future universe. Especially since they retconed the public ever knowing about mutants.
Well he clearly didn't eactly remeber the one sec moments as even in xmen 1 he doesn't recconize that he met wolverine before
Maybe Charles read days of future past Wolverines mind at the end .. then later the dementia got him confusing his memories with another timeline of events .. plot hole fixed 💥 boom
Also that scene at the bar is set in the 60s so before wolverine changes everrything in the timeline, that means that that scene (and the whole first class movie actually) takes place in both of the timelines
There's a comic where wolverine was hallucinating, thinking he was fighting bullseye and a few other villains but ended up killing the x-men instead
Yup. That dastardly Mysterio!
Great comic
Imagine fighting for your kind to survive, obeying the laws of time and physics, almost dying multiple time, reliving the same trauma that still haunts your dreams, to meet your happy ending, that gets screwed over by an apocalypse you tried so hard to prevent. No wonder dude's gonna go depressed.
Imagine living in a post apocalyptic world, rewrite the time only to realize that in future, all that effort means little to nothing. No wonder he's so depressed.
Crazy to think that his mind is older than his body
It’s very weird lol
For the people arguing in the comments, he died from being impaled on a tree by a clone of himself, he had cancer from Adamantium poisoning, and he had Adamantium poisoning because of the modified food, mostly the corn in the whiskey he drinks, which is talked about when logan meets the farmers and they explain that the corn tastes horrible and that people dont eat it, they drink it.
He’s from the year 2029. He’s from the future? Woooooooahhhhhh
It's cringe bro atop
Deadpool universe now has two Wolverine because Logan is set in the year 2029 same universe as Deadpool in it
@@abhishekghosh2686 right this is the one loophole that I just don’t get from the movie that I don’t see anyone else talking about even if Logan and Deadpool are the same universe doesn’t Logan‘s death happens so much later than any of the events in Deadpool just seeing the state of the world it’s just not the same as the normal world and there’s still an X-Men we see in Deadpool so does not lead us to the conclusion that at this point there are now 2 wolverines but there is also x-23 somehow in this universe before she’s even born

No. that wolverine is dead.
So basically that universe "corrected" itself. In place of sentinels ,boom professor x seizures and killing mutants
Sadly, yes
Okay so Logan takes place around the time of Deadpool, then in that case X men is still alive as Colossus is recruiting Deadpool for X men.How is that possible
And apparently it's the same timeline as Deadpool. The mutants go extinct from corn syrups in cereals and such, and what was Colossus eating in Deadpool 1? CEREAL!
I still don't fully understand if Logan was from the same universe Deadpool is, just in the future or if it's the same universe but different timeline.
@elpogio4890 it's supposed to be the same. Them somewhere I think it was said it was it's own contained timeline.
Woahhhh

So Logan with the processed food made his metal skeleton literally rust from the inside out
I think he always got poisoned by the metal in him but I think it got worse over time and also the fact the food supressing mutant genes could also be supressing his healing (which also makes him age faster)
U cant healing factor your way out of micro plastics
Adamantium is a bio compatible perfect alloy.
It can't degrade, break down or be broken, canonically.
He isn't getting poisoned cause that means it would be breaking down and the atoms would be free floating in his system causing his body to react.
He is just old cause his healing was turned off.
Old people get sick, get slow, and take longer to heal.
@@Mr__Vwhy's it turned off? Isn't the new wolverine from deadpool 3 older than original Logan? How'd that work?
*Now All I Can Hear is the Sound of an Adamantium Skeleton Hitting Helmets...*
Finally the timeline makes a little more sense thank you lol
Make your own reality. Directors can only "confirm" what's in their head. You still have control over what happens in yours.
Doesn't make you right.
@@StuckonStupid84 It doesn't make them right either. It's fiction and it's art, you can interpret that in anyway you want.
“The future is set” You can throw a pebble in a pond but it won’t change the current
Great explanation.
The timeline is confusing but I’m here to help clear it up!
Yeah, I call that the 20th-century-era Wolverine.
This was such a good movie to watch
The worse part of this Logan. He killed every mutant while under the control of Mysterio
They killed off the mutants by using GMOs!!? Wild and weirdly practical
Yup! The organization responsible admits this to Wolverine right before the last fight of the film.
It's like Spiderman's writers, Deadpool's writers, and Logan's writers are in cohort with each other.
Possibly from modified food throughout the whole movie it shows I'm drinking whiskey message made from like 80% corn
Mutants nearly going extinct seems to be a canon event in this timeline.
Good way to put it
So we can safely say that Magneto was right all along
Always was 😂
There’s a ton of theories of why Logan was dying: From his skeleton poisoning him, to the new ingredient they used in corn syrup, to his cells that held the healing factor simply going away from excessive use of his body healing up all his wounds
Which which means that Charles eats a lot of corn based products to subtly make him get to a point where his seizures would evolve his immune powers
What's worse is that while the events of Deadpool and Wolverine are happening, everything mentioned in this video is probably already taking effect.
The fact that Logan takes place 5 years from now
I think Deadpool going back in time in Deadpool 2 and killing himself in the previous X-men film.
It should also be mentioned that corn being genetically modified against mutants would majorly affect wolverine, Whiskey is around 80% corn
Idgaf what the director said. How i see it is that Logan takes place in the new timeline created in days of future past. And the original timeline still had a good ending.
He did not rewrite the time line. He created a new branch in the sacred time line. That is what made him the anchor character since he created it also causing its decay once he passed.
I never said he rewrote the timeline. I’m saying he died too early
Charles Xavier genetically mod food😮😮😮.. Bill Gates😮😮😮
There's more truth in movies than people know. The news is the real fiction
It almost seems like AOT with Erin starting The Rumbling, knowing he couldn't change anything from the future.
If we will watch it by timeline, we can understand how the flow run is.
Don't forget that the food in one of them was like holding back the mutants powers so that would is caused the adamanting poison that caused Logan to die because his regeneration was being like killed I don't really know how to sum it up without spoiling it too much in the lore
Of course it is (he is) the movie tells us in numerous ways that it's the same Logan, so, who needed Mangold to confirm it? Good vid though 👍
My videos are FLOOOOODED with comments saying Logan is in a different timeline. I had to make this video to prove up the misconception! Thank you sir
@@MovieTalkNow ahhhhh, well then. My apologies. Thanks for personally getting back to, that's pretty cool. Trying to start doing content myself so really cool to hear back. I guess sometimes the title and subject matter isn't what the creator thinks, it's a way of expressing the facts to the dumbass masses whom can't figure out how to tie their shoes at 35 yrs of age 😆. Nice my friend
That’s so cool to know that. Wasn’t sure how days of future past fit in to the rest of the timeline
GMO food poisoning us is art imitating life.
In x men they talk about gmo food causing mutants to be born, also in the real world: still eats gmo food.
@@MovieTalkNow Ah, that makes more sense. Thanks!
“I am inevitable”

The adamantium poisoning was never the problem, it was the gmos in the foods suppressing his healing factor
This is all true, though it does create a bit of an inconsistency as in Logan it's said that no mutants have been born in 25 years or something like that, but in the good future that we see at the end of DoFP (which is just 5 years before Logan) we see a school full of young mutants.
That's the same Logan that Deadpool desecrated his tomb in Earth-10005 (Fox XMen universe) from Deadpool & Wolverine Movie
T Rex for Jurassic park
Undertaker for WWE
Wolverine for X Men
Sometimes character becomes bigger than the franchises.
The adamantium poisoning would've still happened but slowly, the adulteration in food that kills the mutant genes boosted his adamantium poisoning faster!!
The poisoning (I believe) has been happening from day 1 (since he got the adimantium) BUT when he went to Tokyo.... that one guy cut his claws and took alot of his bone marrow.... so his regeneration isn't 100% causing the poisoning to slowly get to him
i myself got into a depression knowing that everything turned great after days of future past only for everyone to die in Logan
Good thing he got to rest peacefully in his final resting place.
In the original X-MEN movies there was a deadpool, and the old and sick Logan was in the same universe as the new Deadpool
I now believe that the reason Logan was an Anchor being was because he traveled back in time and altered history
When you realize Logan in comics was essentially written by the same writers of Spiderman in comics. 😅😂
And now he has to live Again, Again, again.
Deadpool is in the same universe so for the deadpool 3 intro he travelled to the future of his universe.
Would love to see a timeline where Wolverine doesnt have Adamantium but is very feral❤
I knew it, not only Logan but also Origins and Immortal are in this timeline, different to the original X-Men movies wolverine story
Yeah they completely f’d up the X-men and Wolverine movies regarding the timeline
The ending was very depressing and more depressing ending for Professor X in that all his morality and peace methods were wrong, it was Wolverine and his method of killing that saved mutants from extinction. Thus magneto was right, Charles should have used his power to be more proactive in ending threats like Dr. Rice
The death of mutants is a cannon event
It seems that way
Hugh Jackman finally aged
Thanks for this video I was getting confused with the timeline. I'm glad you used the correct word _led_ for the past tense of _lead._ Most people make that mistake.
He doesn't die, it takes him quite a lot of time to heal in the grave.
He aged fast and died from carrying Fox X-Men franchise.
Who didn’t immediately know this from watching the movie?
To be clear its the future from the xmen timeline point of view, which was set in the past, but it was the MCU present, and the original marvel universe present.
All Wolverine had to do was go off grid and hunt his own food and he would have strengthened his healing factor. Plot hole.
TVA said Logan and deadpool universe is same in the movie, wtf! Explain this someone!
My understanding is that Deadpool used the TVAs tempad to go to the future of his timeline. So the events of Logan did not happen yet but it will. Does that make sense?
@@MovieTalkNow they should have left logan and his universe and proceeded with the x men apocalypse wolverine.
His story is more tragic than Guts'
The food probably messed poisoned Logan's adamantium, thus reducing his healing factor.
Corn is what was genetically modified, corn is used to make whiskey… he is found drinking whiskey often in the movie
Logan was literally the perfect ending to the movie, and to his legacy. I actually couldnt think of a better way to send him off.
And also a GLIMPSE OF WHAT TLOU2 SHOULDVE BEEN
his drinking problem dampened his healing power
at this point, I think all the plot holes from dead pool wolverine were intentional on the part of Ryan Reynolds. it’s just another way for him to make fun of Marvel and the Multiverse convolution.
No way! Now youre gonna tell me the characters from x2 are the same in x3
So he basically gets the rug pulled from under him near the end...That's sad
