Great work, love the harley cart. I just got the predator 212, for my hand built cart. The predator does not have a electric start. How do I get that engine ?
I'm getting ready to do a similar swap. Did you cut the original engine mounts off? I can't see the pics on your buggies thread. I'd like to see more pics of the mount.
using a four stroke engine,,,,, you need the oil levelled across crankcase. (I think installing at the angle that HD had the 2-stroke would leave all the oil running too far over/up one side.)
hey I rewatched and paused the video at 9:25. If you look at the far side it looks as though he just used a longer bolt with strategically placed nuts and washers on the front of the mount to lower the drive shaft.
Thats basically the only way to do it, I lifted the back of the golf cart up and loosened both the bolts to where the nuts on the bottom almost came off, then i took the front bolts off the mount and replaced it with a longer bolt, i put washers and nuts in between the mount and the frame, afterwards tightened the back bolts as far as they could go and made sure to add more washers/nuts to the front bolts to accomodate for the extra space, the more washers/nuts you can fit between the mount and the frame, the better level it will be. After i put nuts on the bottoms of the bolts in the front i lowered the back of the harley down and if you did it right it should stay level. Its optional to replace the back bolts but i didnt

You should be able to just buy an electric start and wire it up to the 212 that’s what I did
Why didn’t you go with a 60 tooth final drive sprocket?
what motor and clutch kit works best?

Amazing brother
I have one think ill put that engine in. Thanks man . Enjoy the doughnuts lol
Is there a speed restriction on the differential
What do you think would happened if you mounted everything on a slant like the original axle is to keep ground clearance?

Where'd you get the box liner?
What did you have to do to level the rear end
Please send pics of the welded hubs
Ryan
I need to make the sprocket
How did you level the rear end
that's what I'm trying to find out too. I've got everything ready, but that angle difference is holding me up
