- Hampta Pass Trek - Day 2 Chika to Another base camp
On the second day of the trek, we wake up to a new adventure. After breakfast, we start walking again, going higher up in the mountains. The path becomes rocky, and we have to be careful while walking.
The scenery keeps changing, and we leave the greenery behind. We see patches of snow, and it's fun to walk on them. The air feels colder as we go higher.
After about 5-6 hours of trekking, we reach a point where we can see a beautiful valley below us. We take a break and enjoy the amazing view. Our campsite is close by, surrounded by big mountains.
At night, it heavy rain whole night and we could not see stars in the sky. We felt tensed for the next days of the trek, will the weather will be good or still rain.

Is 3rd week of August safe in terms of rain and the trail being slippery?
The best time for trek is June to October.. you can go.. and rain anyways it depends as in mountain we can see even 3 season in a day.. so can’t say!!! what we can do is just can take precautions and be careful.. so use proper hiking shoes so that it can protect you from slippery area.. also guide will be there to explain how to cross challenging points..

Hey what about if we go without guide or treking organisers, can we do it all by own, like stay facility & food available to us while treking?
No you have to carry at least tent and some food.. coz at some point shops will not be available..also if you have experience in trekking den only i will suggest you to go ..without guide.. if no experience den would not recommend you.. as few points are dangerous to cross..if you don’t have experience..

At what points will network be available?
No network from Jobra.. from there only hampta pass trek starts.. between
Jobra to manali network will be available.. once you reached jobra .. no network .. in whole trek you will not get network..

I don’t think so there are any way..maybe you can once check with your trekking organiser.. as guide are using walkie talkie they may convey the same to the person who are in network area and the same person can convey to your family member..

@@selfsolovlog5045 Ya everything was good .. actually our group was small we were 9 people so food , Tent and all services was good..but still i will say its depends.. on crowd… so before booking just ask them about the group size and about crowd..
