The student and instructor must have both realised it was a fail after the lorry incident. It's a sick feeling. It would have been kinder of the examiner to say, "Let's just head home".
Saw your car at Blyth test centre today. Had my test today and I failed. Usually they used to give mark of undue hesitation at roundabouts. This time, I didn't want to hesitate. My car doesn't have dual controls' and I was slowly crawling near the give way line at South Beach and Seaton Sluice Beach(parking) roundabout. The examiner ask to wait. I given a serious fault. This time I had only 4 minors! Interestingly both the roundabouts where free while returning home after failing . I think I should go back to the mindset of not caring about the minors.
@@Nav1g8r1 He said no(He said not to cross). I think that he might have felt that I might cross the line. Anyway, given the fact that the wait times an unacceptable by any standards I am not going to take any risk of getting major by attempting to avoid a minor. I makes more sense to pass with 3 undue hesitation than to to fail
Also, different examiners judge what is undue hesitation and what is appropriate speed differently. My previous test sheet had loads of minors in those categories. I am agnostic and now they make wonder if something called luck really exists!

@@arun1paladin sorry to hear that Arun.
I wonder why he asked you to wait? If there was something there, just stop.
