  • Crispin Vary was just 30 years old in the spring of 2015 when he was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. Crispin has a family history of skin cancer so he received regular skin checks for suspicious moles by a dermatologist. He was shocked to receive the diagnosis after work up for chest discomfort revealed several tumors in his chest. Crispin sought treatment at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and then enrolled in an immunotherapy clinical trial through the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Today his tumors have either completely disappeared or are mostly gone. Doctors never found where his cancer started. Im so glad they worked for you. My husband had a rare for of melanoma that causes fungating tumors (I'll let you look that up). Unfortunately ammunotheropy did not work for him. He passed away in January 2021, 5 yrs after his diagnosis.
