Markus i've known about you for years from Dan the Man but now it's time for me to implement what you teach . Today is my 59 birthday and I got up and made myself the aloe cactus drink as a statement to myself that I am reversing any and all aging and totally healing my body temple. Thank you for your passion and the knowledge you share! When you have time would you consider making a video on sweets. ( dates, raisins, currents) and your opinion on them. I like my dates.
I have been vegetarian since 1998, vegan since 2001 and raw vegan since 2013 with cheating. Your video on cheating really impacted me. It is time for total health Youth and vitality!
P.S. I had the biggest and gentlest valve b/m I've had in a long time. I'm going to make your aloe cactus drink every day for a week and see how wonderful I feel!
    Many Blessing, Warmly

Yes all cactus are edible and no Aloe Vera skin is not poisonous. Let me check to see if I'm still alive… just a minute… yep… I'm still alive :-) and doing quite well thank you. Aloe is very cleansing and if people are toxic, alloe skin will give you the runs because it's cleaning you out. Once you are clean, it won't do that anymore. Nature also has a built-in mechanism to let you know when you've eaten enough of something. (if you're clean and dialed-in). Animals in the wild don't just eat one thing- they graze on all kinds of stuff which is what we should be doing.

Yes you can peel cactus just like aloe. But the skin has good things it it also. There are lots of empty spaces between the spikes, which can be scraped off with a knife. You can get prickly pear "pads" with skin at hispanic markets- the mexicans LOVE eating them, they are called "Nopales" I just went hiking and saw a bunch of cactus that were half eaten by animals. Hmmm. they must know something :-)

I have several Vitamixes.one with a speed knob, one without. It doesn't matter which one you have. As for Anthraquinones in Aloe skin, I only use one leaf at a time and have never had any problems ever. My friend Tavis lived off Aloe for a while and he's fine. But remember, the secret is variety in your diet- to never eat just the same thing over and over

They drank it and said it was good!! Im planning to do this daily. This is the first time I drink this and my body feels so refresh and satisfied, I can feel my whole body sing thank you for the building material 💜💜💜 thanks to you Markus i am teaching my kids how health is the best investment, and how it is more than just food, and let me tell you they understand. The truth is so clear even a kid gets it. I want to share that the first food my second baby consumed was half of a green juice and half of coconut almond homemade yogurt. 💜

Mexicans have been eating them for centuries. Only difference is we scrape off the thorns and cook them. You can even grill them on the barbecue, or make them into a great salsa with red chile pepper, lime juice and yellow corn. Many are deterred from eating the pads do to the fact that they are a bit slimy. Oh, by the way we call them "Nopalitos". We even have them for breakfast in a scrambled eggs plate, after they have been sliced and boild. Anyways, I like the idea of drinking them raw. Just seems healthier. Great mix and good job!

It won't hurt your stomach, if anything it will help. The anthraquinones are quite strong in the skin which may cause cramping for those with weak muscle tone in the digestive tract. Start by cutting off some of the skin and try it first. I never had any problems, ever. It's bitter as hell, but bitter is good, especially the liver and creating digestive juices. Each person is different- do what works for you.

Worth a try. Cactus and aloe thrive where I live. I think I will use apples and/or pears instead of oranges though for sweetener. FYI - all plants have chlorophyll but many cannot survive too well in desert areas. Plants such as cactus, aloe, agave, and yucca do well for other reasons. It involves their roots system and spiky leaves, making it very efficient for moisture attraction and retention in that kind of environment.

I first saw this video in 2018 when my husband was diagnosed with gastric cancer. As we waited for his surgery, he insisted he wouldn't go through with it. He said, "Let me die with this," and became very stubborn. I was furious; as his wife, I couldn’t bear the thought of watching the father of my children fade away.
Then I came across a video about cactus. Imagine being in a city where cacti are hard to find! Fortunately, my job requires travel, so I took a knife and a bag with me. Whenever I spotted a cactus in the middle of nowhere, I would stop, cut a piece, and add it to my bag.
To cut a long story short, my husband is now cured, Alhamdulillah! When we went for a check-up, the doctor asked, "What did you do?" Since that day, we've incorporated cactus into our routine once a week, and I’ve even started growing it in my garden. Thanks to Markus

I watched this 3 years ago and have been doing aloe with blended kale/greens and also fruit drinks and it always improves my breathing and overall health and soothes my heart and blood vessels. Also the nopales cactus pads i eat all the time even though I live where they don't grow but it is a very healthy vegetable. I agree with the raw lifestyle yet I cook a lot too and just try to have a balance of raw and some cooked.. by that I mean try to put as much fresh stuff down as possible. Stores don't always provide the quality of freshness they claim so I forage a lot and make amazing meals with lots of herbs , some cooked but the fresh is refreshing and abundant. Don't be afraid eat for wellness

WARNING: The advice to put a whole nopal , with spines, in a blender is very bad advice. Vitamix , and lesser blenders, often miss pieces that lie beneath the blades. Do it the way Mexicans do it. Scrape the needles off with a knife, not easy initially. In Mexico people buy nopales that have already been scraped. However you do it, don't take the risk of ingesting needles.

Like i said, juicing fruit concentrates the sugars, which feeds pathogens & is hard on pancreas. Fruits are meant to be eaten in their natural state (or blended)- because they contain lots of fiber, which slows down the absorption of sugars into the system. It takes half a dozen oranges to make one glass of juice. Try and eat half a dozen oranges at once. Nature limits us naturally by its design, to only be able to consume what we can handle at one time, if we eat things in their natural state.

If you peel the aloe leaf before putting it in the blender, it really helps with the bitterness 😉 Think of it as banana peel - ever had a taste of the yellow peel accidentally? It's really bitter. And the really good stuff is inside anyway. So just peel it, the gel will still contain a whole lot of goodness.

Thanks for the information, I would consume the green part of the Aloe Vera which is exactly the same as the Cactus skin. All the goodness is in the green leafy bit.
Soak it in water and remove the Aloin toxic chemicals and it should be fine then.
Try to blend the Aloe Vera with Cactus all with the green leaves, and blend with it Almond oil, Coconut oil and Olive oil for the best hair. You just apply it to your hair and good luck with the thickness, strong healthy looking hair. I actually use it myself.
I am from Iraq originally but live in Australia, and Arabs have very much knowledge about herbs; traditional medication and what is called by the alternative medicine instead of the new pharmaceutical medical chemicals base.
For instance: to lose weight, try ginger, curcumin and lemon juice all mixed with boiling water, let it cool a bit and then drink in the morning and evening. It promotes a lot of health benefits beside losing weight, and that is instead of the weight loss chemical formulas.
    God bless you all ❤🌹

I’m from Pennsylvania and just ordered 3 pads and 12 pricky pears from Etsy and got my aloe Vera coming from Walmart. At the moment I have been eating raw beets and juicing with raw beets. Well when I juice I use the everything outside of the skin and I drink that raw and then I purée with half beet and half green apple 🍏. It’s so delicious.

Yes Cactus has everything you need. My personal pre-workout drink includes 2 bunches watercress and various other things I will explain in a later newsletter. The nasty bitterness serves a purpose and gives me a boost like nothing else. Sweet stuff actually robs power and makes tired. Bitter gives strength and power.

I watched a bunch of your videos last night. I have to tell you the idea of eating raw food exclusively is a radical idea to me - however I am overweight, and I've been sick for years. You inspired me. I went out in the yard last night before dinner and picked some new baby dandelion leaves for our salads (my husband didn't even notice); said the salad was great! This afternoon for lunch I made a smoothie with what I had on hand (veggies, fruit, coconut water& some more baby dandelion leaves & aloe from my plant). I did this with my Oster blender since I don't have a vitamix. Glory be it worked! I have never been a fan of juicing and throwing away all the pulp. I'm definitely going to need to buy your book. I really like the idea of knowing what I can eat that is growing right around us. Going to try this - eating raw - and I'll be reading more about your cleansing recommendations (maybe part of my problem is parasites) I just want to thank you

I just started this a few days ago, but I used only aloe since I needed to figure out where the cacti reside. Walked yesterday down railroad tracks in Santa cruz and picked everything but the fruit, since there weren't any easter eggs available. I am so happy to have found this and the pine tea recipes. My eczema has come back full force since I moved back to sc, during spring. The pollen seems to have given me a bad reaction. Scaly skin all down my neck, face and eyelids. Puffy eyes, cracking and raw and painful skin. A few days in with these , plus rest and exercise/good diet and its almost gone within about 3 days now. Such a relief. Thank you for the info. Markus, I am sorry I drink aloe vera alone or with cactus for years, but man, you have to peel the aloe and extract the gel, also you have to remove the thorns to the cactus, this is very easy. Also to avoid the aloe vera oxidation we have to add the juice of one or two yellow lemons. I think you are a little bot wild, primitive or possibly lazy to do the juice right. Never add water to this juice.

    • @alana-christinadittrich3278
      @alana-christinadittrich3278 6 лет назад +4

Yes, you do have to remove the latex, aka sap, aka aloin, before using the aloe gel (as the person in this video does not do) or you will be drinking aloin and anthraquinones - which are bitter tasting, toxic and are strong laxatives. Anthraquinone can also irritate skin and eyes, and can potentially cause a skin allergy in some people (with rash and itching). Severe poisoning with anthraquinone can cause seizures and coma. In my experience, mild exposure can cause irritation and upset to the digestive system and diarrhea. There are many good videos on RUclips showing how to cut and soak aloe vera leaves before entirely removing the green outer leaf, to soak off and remove all of the yellowish latex - sap - aloin part of the leaf, before removing the entire outer green portion of the aloe leaf. It is only the clear inner gel that we can safely use externally without risk of skin irritation, and take internally without risk of digestive upset, diarrhea and worse.
