HP Mini 210 LCD Screen Replacement

- In this video I replace the cracked LCD Screen of an HP Mini 210-2070nr with a new one.
Laptops parts are easy to break and the small connectors and plastic pieces can be expensive to replace. If you decide to work on your laptop, please take notes and take your time! If you would like me to check out your laptop we do a free estimate at my shop and have a fast turn around time.

Lot of effort. Not sure why you needed to strip the laptop. I change these all the time and don't need to to do this. Good video I must say. Well done.

hey, thanks for the video, but I agree with some of the other posts, I am not sure you need to break down the computer. Couldn't you just pull the backplate off and unplug the video strip connection and unscrew the 4 screws.. and off... I'll let you know, but other than this, its a great break down video (for other issue or parts that need replacment.
Does this procedure work for newer models like the 210-4150. There's dust behind the screen I'd like to clean off but I'm not sure how to open the cover without damaging it. Thanks!
Thanks for the video ... ANTS made a freaking NEST behind the LCD screen, I had to open it up to get to them, nasty little things, lots of eggs and queens T_T took me half an hour of cleaning with a paper tower and alchool to get it to a "decently clean" state. Didn't close it up and test yet but I don't think I damaged it.

I change these screen all the time and dont need to go to all that work. 20 minutes max to do this job.
Hey guys, you don;t have to take everything apart to change the screen, I just finished changing one right now and all I did was to open the back and replace it..Just be careful when you are doing it....Best of luck

hey i have a gateway laptop its pretty new it has 3gb of ram a 320 gb harddrive and an amd processor and the right sides back light keeps shuting off how much would that cost to fix
too much effort. There is an easier way.. But your VIdeo allowed me to see how the LCD cable pops off. Does anybody know whatthis problem is...I changed LCD screen and shorted the battery.. Now the old and the new LCD screen show up in gree. So I have now ordered a cable for it. Do you think it is the cable???? Cheers and great video!
The problem with the Mini 210 is its cheap plastic construction and hard drives that crash. A "new" one was obtained and this is still giving good service although the Swiss keyboard is a PITA. Latest fault is that only one hinge is working. The hinges have friction-clutches to hold the screen open but the mechanicals (I refuse to call it Engineering) are very poor. It is not the hinge per-se that fails, it is the plastic that the hinge is screwed to! If anyone knows of an adhesive that will bond properly with the broken "picture-frame" I would be very interested to know. I live in the UK and whilst getting goods from the US is possible, Germany is a lot nearer and there is no hassle with the Customs & Excise people. Thanks in advance and best regards from Davey.

Already know an answer? I'm interested too. But according Service Manual I think not possible because screen is controlled by BIOS and that BIOS just have some controllers built in.

No. Motherboard don't have problem with that because board of normal lcd and hd version its same. Problem is BIOS is not same ( I think ).

WTF Man you dissasemly the whole machine for just the screen..!!! OMG!!!! Missleading if only for changing the screen.. but great for dissasembly the whole computer ;-)
LMFAO! This guys is not so smart!! No reason to take the laptop apart. I replace 100's of screens and 99% of the time you dont need to do this. Just unscrew or unhook on some laptops.
