@@eliacasanova4217 I dont think so. I havent done much surfing since the early 2000s. It was something to do on boring 1980s, 1990s Padre Island when I was a teen and young adult in college. But It became too frustrating going to the beach down here only to find choppy waist high (2 foot) waves
Haha I grew up in CA and my girlfriend was from Houston. She always talked about how I should surf “Galvy” and let’s just say, I surfed it once…haha all love tho man! It’s a great town! Just not for surfing
@Elia Casanova Name almost sounds familiar. I surfed in the same lineup as guys like Zack May (we skated together all the time since I had the launch ramps on the only smooth paved rd on the Island in the 80s, 90s. His mom was the coolest also.), Choch, JB, The Twins, B Wild, etc. But I lost the connection around 2005 when life got very confusing and stressful. Again, to be fair, I've only been to Galvaston twice. Once in 92 and once in 2009. The latter trip was in August and the water and sand conditions reminded me more of the Corpus Christi Bayfront from brown and humid. Aside from that, I know it's a badass place to have fun with the boardwalk and I have seen videos of Surfside looking rideable enough. Not like North Padre is any wave mecca though our waters in the bay and beach have really cleared up over the years and it looks incredible more days than not. Our surf is flat in August also. I imagine Galvaston is best after October when it cools off and during the Springtime.
What time of the year is best for surfing there?
Love the music, reminds me of the good old days of surfing. But all these spots are only for advanced surfers i think.

@@NaderRahy It is called sarcasm ! Do i have to tell you. This is one of the worst surf videos ever ! Claiming to know about surf spots, but never been out of Mui Ne.

Terrible waves. Actually surprised, but then I looked at a map. They have the Philippines shadow which blocks any long period swells from coming in. All I see here are weak, short period waves, and closeouts. Probably comparable if you're used to surfing in the Gulf of Mexico.
