Spiral (the strong but slow af gun) can actually be rapid-fired if you know how to cancel-out its animation. This can be achieved by spamming royal guard after each shot. Learn how to do this and you'll effectively have a semi-auto anti-tank rifle with unlimited ammo in your hands that can effectively turn almost every common enemy in the game into a joke. It also never stops ranking up your style gauge. It's broken af.
It _really_ isn't, but mostly because of the absurdly elevated way that people tend to remember it (such as folding later games' improvements into it). It's still a super good game, though.

Enzo Matrix he never said rg sucked. He just has the same problems everyone has with it. 1. You lose out on a shit load of useful options just for one great one. And 2. You could just learn to use jump I Frames and jump canceling for the same results but easier. That and it’s hard to utilize if you don’t spend hundreds of hours practicing fights against bosses.
Like the only thing I can kinda agree on is the Jester being obnoxious. But even the, he starts out okay and has some interesting things going for him. But everything else? I can only bother to watch now that I know, that it pisses Pat off actively (I like Woolie too much to see him be frustrated and suffer)
Rage Kage nah a lot of his complaints are legit. Most of the enemies in this game are just annoying and not actually difficult to deal with (enigmas and the fart clouds especially), and nevan is genuinely a terrible weapon, and dantes movelist is extremely shallow without swordmaster, and just look at the fucking asylum fight
Some of the enemies are definitely a weak point. However, when Pat says a move or weapon is worthless though, I wouldn't put much weight behind that. He said inferno wasn't good in the DMC1 playthrough, and on a full devil trigger meter, that thing can make bosses on normal and even hard it's bitch. He also said the TMP was worthless in his RE4 playthrough, but someone had a comparison video clip (think he's taken it down since then) of him taking down el gigante with a default power TMP in less than half a minute compared to Pat's bumbling around for a couple of minutes with a sniper rifle.
Yes, he's completely wrong about it. On harder difficulties it's a very useful tool for positioning enemies so that you can kill them without having to dodge other enemies. This is especially good on DMD mode, since it buys you time to kill enemies that you do not want to enter devil trigger. Also worth noting that if you use the E&I attack while enemy riding, you can helm breaker immediately after and begin a combo.
