Lion's Mane Jellyfish venom will generally pose little risk to your life unless you somehow got trapped in the tentacles while you are swimming. Even then, he cause of death is usually drowning from panic, not by the venom.

You can still be stung by a dead wasp or bitten by a dead rattler too, so it makes sense that a dead jellyfish is still able to inject venom too.
