For everybody worried about the horses:
They have a big concrete slab, they can stand dry in the barn and I actually put down mud control grids this week! So don't worry, I'm getting it fixed. I know it's very bad when it's wet like this, but it's the first time we have flooding like this, it's very extreme weather with storms. So it took a few days to figure something out. Thank you for thinking about them!

We also call it a Butterfly Tree in English, I have a few purple and a couple of white ones in my garden for the butterflies. They self seed so look out for the tiny ones! Also, as I expect you know, keep them pruned back because they get very leggy and might break in the storms. Love your hair colour and the chicken picture 🐓 Take good care xx

I love your hair color and as some one who dyes her hair, I know, the struggle is real!! Love the chicken painting too. And my older cat is getting skinnier over time too, but he eats anything he wants.

Wow, those are some TALL trees. I don't blame you being nervous about them. Still that view! Oh so beautiful. I love the tiny house view. So tranquil and peaceful How far is the nearest town to you when you need supplies and things? Still, like you said when it is not raining or blowing, I am sure it is SO beautiful. What made you want to be a homesteader? Where we live we have lakes and I love nature as well. I love to walk on trails and just see the beauty of the land, It humbles me, we get so busy we fail to appreciate the beauty God created. You look so very happy in this element. You're adorable.

Thank you so much! It’s very beautiful, but with all the storms it’s sometimes a little bit scary. But that’s just part of it. For groceries we are very lucky to have some local shops/farms. And for the bigger things like building materials or big shops it’s mostly 30 to 60 minutes, so it’s definitely not bad at all! And I think I love this live because I grew up in the countryside, but went to university in the city. So it made me love the quiet and beauty of the countryside even more. Going on walks is the most amazing thing! Do you walk in the mountains? We don’t really have those, unfortunately. And I’m very happy, thank you! I love your comments! ♥️

that is awesome Nikky. The older I have gotten the more I want to live in a peaceful environment. I live in a smaller city, but we do have the great lakes to see. I have never seen mountains! We have an 18 year old daughter, who REALLY wants to go to Japan , right now she is in college and she thinks she wants to go for Liguistics career. Shes taken many German courses, and on the side is teaching herself Japanese, which is VERY hard with them having 3 alphabets! I do believe she will make it to Japan someday either on studying abroad or scholarships, who knows. But she is obesssed with their culture. I am obsessed with where you live. I have looked at many travel channels about The Netherlands. SO gorgeous. You are doing a fabulous job on this, it is hard work but like you mentioned better than the gym!😀

Here in Denmark there are also way more storms happening as usual, it's crazy. (I used to work in a gamepark, the worries about trees falling on fences or even animals were horrible, so I can relate...) Fingers crossed for you especially this afternoon and night!

I heard about it being very bad in Denmark! It’s definitely crazy, we do our best to prepare for the storms, but sometimes it’s so bad and there is just nothing you can do. I’m also a bit scared about tonight, the wind is already starting to get stronger! Hopefully we are lucky and it will be over soon. Thank you for your comment! ♥️

What year was your profile pic taken. Not being rude because you're a lovely young woman but I like your red hair on you. You look like you should be a red head. WOW the horses are in quick sand 😅😅😅😅.

It's a few years old now, I should probably update it sometime soon. My hair has always had some red in it, because my mothers hair is very red. (used to be). But I like how it is now. And yes, it was so wet, I'm very happy it's dry now and the horses enjoy the fields. ❤️
