Instead of the Government making all these changes to procedures, cans & can't, they should make changes to the value and increase it. My husband uses nappies and they have increased 70% since Dec 2022. There is not enough in the package to allow for the all this increases and the cost of care. I would like to have someone come and shower my husband everyday. The cost of this would take all the money in the package and my money as well. I then do this myself so the package can provide the incontinence products, physio, transport to appointments, rails, 2 hours of gardening per week and other small incidentals. There should also be an option for self management of the package. If one person can manage for the other person, why can't this be an option. I understand that it has to go through a provider but the charges could be scaled according to the individual abilities.

My Wife is currently on a level 3 home care package and I self manage the fund for her through our provider. I find it rather bemusing to hear you say that mobility scooters should be funded through the program. We are barely covering costs for personal care, some meals, Monthly fee for emergency alarm and our provider fee which is low in comparison to other providers. There are times when we have to personally contribute money to the fund. ?????????????????????
