Do Air Stones Reduce Pond Algea??

In this short video, I test to see if adding a solar powered air pump with air stones to a wildlife pond reduces the amount of algea buildup over time.

Top Tip: kinked air tubing looks naf so just put it in some NEAR boiling water for 30 seconds and voila, it’s straight!

The fact that air stones have zero effect upon blanket weed is irrelevant - their job is to oxygenate the water. People usually ruin the pond balance by feeding the fish too much, too often - it may serve self gratification but is mostly unnecessary if you have the right balance of pond plants.
