I talk to the trees. When you come near them and talk, they express wind and movement. There are spiritual essence in them.

I had no idea! Avatar has always touched my soul and now I know it's representing my ancestors. Avatar 2 left me sobbing, especially with Neytiri's songcord.

I noticed that some of the weapons of the na'vi are similar to the yamassee tribe in the swamp and forests of the deep south eastern united states. They have stories of having similar weapons and potentially being afro indigenous cousins of tainos themselves as mixed yamassee made braids out of thin dreadlocks.

Great video! Not surprised the Taino were the inspiration for this movie.
( SIDE NOTE: I kinda headcanon Emily Windsnap being Taino 🧜🏾‍♀️. Because her dad somehow knew all about the hidden Bermuda Triangle island, and he is described with black hair and brown eyes🧜🏾‍♂️)

I feel the makers of the movie continue to exploit the culture without actually giving representation
