Garden garage doors. Reinforce all panels. Most Roofs fail from wind blowing garage doors out first.

@@VerifyTheTruth You are mistaken if you think a standard geodesic dome can stand up to a powerful tornado. They don't. They ARE much better than a box frame wood house but FAR inferior to something like a monolithic dome.

B.S. a powerful tornado will rip the roof or just push the walls in

Right.. but let's not forget that 95% of tornadoes are f2 and f1. Why the "all or nothing" thinking? Hurricane clips won't do much for 300mph winds, but they will certainly help with the avg 80-150mph

@@protonneutron9046 But I'm not. You're right, a powerful tornado will obliterate mosy any residential structure. My point is that most tornadoes are not "powerful", relatively speaking. Take some building science and structural engineering classes.

@@9mmkahr You are right, it wouldn't survive a EF5 or C5 hurricane but these straps will prevent the roof from weakening or coming off in smaller tornadoes like EFU-EF1's and small hurricanes like C1 or depressions I believe these straps are required in new homes in Florida now as they are prone to hurricanes not sure if they are required in tornado ally or not yet, but when you're face to face with a tornado any sort of strengthening of the structure will help to give you a chance of not loosing your house.
