Very great 👍 show today Jaw Tooth you covered all major lines today N.S. , BNSF, Double Header UP & CSX plus a great old train tressle great fall colors starting to appear ! Thanks for your information about the scanner I picked up the uv-5r for $22 can’t beat that price ! Great 👍 work today very informative information Thanks 😊🤩😎🤓
Dad worked as a Fireman on the D.T. & I. back in the 1950s....and used to talk about going up and down that hill...he still had the old shovel from doing the hand-fired steam locos....and he was very glad when they went to the stoker fired ones...there is video out there, somewhere, of back when there was Passenger service all the way to Ironton, OH.....
I'd like to think that the spring compression and slow tanker train was delivering heavy and dark Munich, Bavaria Oktoberfest beer to those thirsty souls in Ohio who still maintain a link to the old country. Gracias und Danke, Señor Herr Jaws por tu video. RT sends, Puebla, México...
Morning JT. That is a awesome trestle bridge. I noticed in Ohio after the gates come down the bells stop. In California they stay on when the gates are down. Just something I noticed. Great video!
I like it when the bell shuts off once the gates are down. Some crossings in Missouri and Illinois have a continuous bell until the train clears the crossing. Continuous bells drive me nuts!
You keep finding great locations to watch trains, Jaw Tooth! Thank you for some more railfanning locations in the Piketon, Ohio area. The two Norfolk Southern crossings were interesting locations. That CSX trestle was an interesting span and the CSX train going across it was long.
One grain train for each line plus a ethanol train so it was an all agricultural day. One can just envision that trestle being built with guys Heating all those rivets and it's always neat to find old abutments whether rebuilt or abandoned in line with those murders that grade Crossing sounded like the place where knives are sharpened. That scene where Norfie is sitting in the sun is kind of a shocker because it looks like the poor thing got bleached by the bright lights!
You'll have to get back to Pikeston more often Doing that keeps your videos interesting. Even without looking to see if those tankers were down on the springs, I could tell that was a heavy train just by listening to the rails and ties groan.
Not necessarily foreign power on the ethanol train, but "run through" power. UP picks up the train at a refinery, delivers to NS, then changes to NS crews to deliver to final destination. You may see BNSF grain trains run through in your neck of the woods.
There's something very satisfying about a very long, uniform train like the tank train (even more so if they're not all disfigured by graffiti). Those UP locomotives sounded great powering up as they went over the crossing.
I spent 13 yrs. Growing up in Mt. Vernon and never knew they used to build bridges. They were always known for glass production which ended in 1976. Lost alot of railroad too.
Great excellent video, mr Jaw Tooth. You made a good shot of that old bridge builded in 1927 including the corrosion. Look out for that CSX or NS that means lighter trains or trains must riding slower. East of the station Amsterdam Central go the owner of the rail infrastructure replace the old bridges from steel to concrete. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Would you or have you ever been to Fostoria? I love that live feed especially when it uses the wide angle lens. I love all those streets cars cross it looks so close.
Cool new locations, impressive curved trestle, boy they sure built these bridges and trestles to last back in the day. Beautiful landscape around the trestle too. Excellent video JT, thanks.👍🏼
More cool locations and action. Strange how on some ethanol trains there is an EOT buffer car but not on others. The curved trestle with the road going under it looks like it came off someone's model railroad. Great video as always, thanks!
Nice catch of the NS, UP and CSX trains! I like the new crossing you recorded from to see the train off in the distance. That NS Grain Train was moving right along to get it delivered! That UP train had a MASSIVE load of tankers in that consist. And to see the CSX Grain Train going across that old Trestle was a Spectacular sight! Just catching up on your videos bcuz my phone battery died and had to wait for Amazon to deliver my new one lol. Thanks again for sharing some awesome footage with us! Cheers from Delmar, Delaware.
what does CSX stand for and just to let you know i did open up the light box you sent and great treasures to get building the layout with the grandkids didn't expect 3 of the tunnels lol thank you so much
If you're going to PA, have you been to the Bridgeview Inn? It's really a place for train watching. Maybe you could use your influence to get into Enola Yard.

Massive bridge. Train looked like a toy. Thanks JT.

Nice spots out there for catching trains.

Yes indeed!

They should sand blast and paint those old bridges, to make them last even longer, very cool video
Cool trains. The infrastructure needs allot of fixing, tragedies waiting to happen. Thanks for sharing
👍🏻🚂😎🐕🐈 that bridge looks like it’s falling apart! Great video 👍🏻
Thanks 👍

@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars it’s because loaded ethanol trains have a buffer car(s) but empties don’t.

On the west coast we call that tank train "Da Bomb"; placarded 1987 is an ethanol train.
Great video Jawtooth! That's a really cool trestle! Great location! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
You find some great locations. The placards on the tanker train indicate that it was an ethanol train. Thanks.
Thanks for the info!
Cool trains - luv bridges !
Many thanks!
Such a good video. You do a good job.
Nice horns on those UP units Maybe they should all sound that way and get some driver's attention It was loud
I caught that NS grain train in Glendale on Sunday! I recognized the graffiti on a couple of the cars!
Great video, well filmed.👍🎥👍👍👍😊

Ahhhh Piketon, locals may not be happy how you described it. Nice location. Grain from those elevators on a previous video?
I like train videos videos on RUclips jawtooth 👍
Please come check out the series of bridges and crossings through Dayton, Bellevue, and Newport kentucky.
"NOBLE ONE" graffiti at 01:38 - has an old western look to it. Quite nice.
1987 is Ethanol do they ever put this stuff in a pipe pine? Looks like a quiet town now.
