I'm using pirated version of ets2 1.31 . the reason why I having 1.31 is that I'm using older pc with very low specs. in the ets2 1.31, the best sounding trucks are 1. volvo classic 2. Iveco 3. Renault premium. these are the trucks that I'll using. but my favourite is volvo classic
@fedelucca36 I think SCS has pretty rough relationship with Iveco, and if I'm correct with Man and also Mercedes... But yeah I used Iveco trucks from time to time just to change it up, they're not horrible, but compare it to other newer trucks, they're... Meh... Not bad but not great...
4x2 is perfectly fine for up to 30 tons 8x4 is only useful when duing special transport since the distance is smaller also more axles doesn't always mean better 4x2 is the most efficient configuration on the road because of the less tires touching the ground hope this is helpful for new people
Another tip, don't rush to buy upgrades. Your truck is more capable than you think, for the most part. On my current profile, I drive an old Scania 4 series, and used a 124L 360 4x2 truck to pull a 39t digger through Finland. Recently upgraded it to 124L 470 and a better gearbox and will probably keep it like this for the rest of the game, only stuff it can't do is the truly heavy stuff and steep mointain roads (will get something bigger for those), the rest is no issue.
I consider the old Stralis to be a classic truck now as it has not been in production in a long time. Saying of avoiding the Iveco is not good as some may get it for a cheaper price at the used truck dealer. Everyone has opinions, I liked the guide except for the first and second ones at the beginning of the video which is very stupid though.
I recently chose to put the IVECO away for good reasons. Kriechbaum's sounds ain't working anymore on the IVECO trucks. I was using Schumi's reworks, drivetrain mod, and Kriechbaum's sounds. It made driving the IVECO quite doable. Until Kriechbaum fixes the issues, I'll stay away from the brand in this game. I, too, hope Iberia will get the optimization it deserves! I agree with the head tracker too, but not everyone has the money so I recommend the free plugin called "Smooth Interior Camera", which is findable on the official SCS forum! As for the wheel I recommend the Logitech G29, make sure NOT to go for the G920 and/or G923, they're not worth it. Another ultimate do would be installing the free plugin called Snowymoon for AA in this game. If you have trouble with FPS you can choose the DLSS option from the plugin, and if you have a beast of a rig you can choose DLAA and/or TAA. It's a game-changer, trust me! :)
G920 is the X-box version of G29 and G923 is just black "better" version of G29 (it's just more expensive with plastic paddle shifter behind the wheel). I used keyboard at the beginning (2012-2013), than I borrowed G25 and after release od G29 I bought it. I'm still using it. It's one of the best wheels, cheap (against the other wheels), great quality (without any problem) and many buttons (but these days I need evrn more, so I have many keybinds on keyboard).
For a start truck. start with the new MAN, More power for cheaper.. And those Iveco trucks are good trucks. not really to tune.. but they are good trucks.. especialy the newer Iveco. Double trailers with a 4X2 chassis is a common thing. i drove a XF105 with a Bdouble here.. and it works just fine. I question this video on so much things....
@@Riskw-mk1lo you can't speed in any truck. Because that's no diffrent in a 6x4 or a 4x2 .. We haul Bdoubles with 4x2 a lot in real life. Works fine. Not slower than or worse than a other config
Also for the second one, you can base it in some other reworked places aswell such as Germany, France, Italy or Austria. Although some of these are all the way back from 2016/17, they all have very good quality. If you have map dlcs, use west balkan and iberia, but you can also use road to the black sea or Baltic sea or vive la France or Italia. You could even use Scandinavia as it is pretty good and although not all textures/junctions are realistic, some are. Still it just has a different feeling to it. So it's actually pretty good for the feeling u get
I I’m a car guy, and started ETS 2 out of curiosity. It’s relaxing game. Anyway, I have 0 knowledge on Trucks, I choose them based on how fancy they are 😅
I bought used trucks for all my drivers and had no problems at all. The thing is, I bought only 5-star, less than 30-40,000 miles (prices went from 85 to 120k).
Also, in my opinion, it doesn't really matter what truck you pick. They are all capable enough once upgraded, even the ivecos. So it's fine even if u drive a iveco. The only truck that does matter is daf xd as it cannot carry heavy cargo that well.
I operated the newest DAF truck carrying regular cargo. As I ascended the hill, despite fully enhancing the engine and transmission, it struggled. Eventually, I decided to hand it over to one of my in-game drivers.
i had buy an Iveco Truck Recently the experience was good. But the only thing is truck is very slow.but some engine upgrades and gear upgrades would improve the speed of the truck i used a old iveco truck and interior of the truck is also not bad but not good. My honest experience was good. If you want to buy an Iveco so you can buy it. but don't buy if u like speeding on roads. Thanks
Guys help me please. There is a lot of modded trucks, but I can't find trucks in the UK version? I am from UK and I play on UK map most of time and all these trucks have steering wheel on the left side. Maybe you can point some good mods with UK version.
