regarding squeaking breakes: I have intentionally not restored/replaced parts for the old trucks I have in my garages, so that they get to squeak. This way the epxerience of driving an old truck is even more close to reality :)) I reccomend using this tip only for short deliveries. In a long delivery that sound gets annoying
Regarding Tollgates: - in Spain on any tollgate the faster lane is ALWAYS 2nd from the right -in portugal most of them are fullspeed - in France the one most on the left is the fast lane - in Italy you have to always look at the signs before the toll ( it says which lane is fast pass, it has it specific sign), becaus eit varies from left to right lane - In West Balkans is a different story, many countries, each with teir own different tolls, and there are also some tolls which have only "Stop" lanes, no fast lanes at all. Any fast lane in the game can be passed by with a speed below 30 KM/h ( preferably 25Km/h in some cases)
In France it depends. On motorways, it's the left/2 left lanes. On tolls on motorway exits it's usually the right lane but it can vary. If you are not sure, just look for the unrestricted height booth with a little t on top of it
thank you for making this video! i never knew what could be done with the developer console and now that i know you can do all of this cool stuff you showed i can finally take better pictures on the road without having to sleep to skip time or to change the sky.
9:55 country roads at night, that's something that you have to experiment. With ETS2_RealisticVehicleLights_v7.4 mod and high to ultra graphics settings is so good
Lifting the rear axle transfers its weight into the powered wheels forcing said wheels into the road providing more traction. Great for off-road trailer hook up
@@Taz_XE076 The only big difference I noticed is the turning radius. 6x2 taglift has very tight turning capability. But speaking for performance, 4x2 is still at the top I guess.
What about 6x2/4 (so 4x4 axles)? Should I opt for the 6x4 or the liftable (with smaller tires) 6x2? I'm looking to buy a 3 axle truck and I can't decide between these two.
@@filippoboschini8659 I think the 6x2/4 translates to 4 steered wheels and not 4 powered wheels. Having just looked, there's only 1 powered axle, but it has a steerable midlift. Well the 6x2 with steerable midlift is imo, the better option. At least that's what I always go with. And, they're also far better at physics simulation with the midlift down. Especially with a heavier trailer. The suspension feels a lot more active. Where as the other axle configs feel far too stiff. With 6x2 taglift, (rear lift axle, for those that don't know) you will have much better turning radius with the axle up. If it's a steerable tag axle, then you'll still get better turning radius than with a steerable midlift. I'm using wheels and tyres from Volvo FH 2022 by Sanax, just as a side note. Personally, I always with either 385/55 - 315/80 Front/Midlift and 315/80 rear. Or 315/70 rear. I never really go with the smaller or small tyre choices. They make sense in real life in most of Europe with the low bridges, but they look a little goofy. Similar to having a 20 inch rim with tyre on a pickup or off-roader with a 10 inch lift Lmao Idk if different tyre sizes change the driving physics. It seems it's purely aesthetic. Another note with physics, if you use a 6x2 midlift, steerable/non-steerable, they do majorly affect the physics. You'll have wheel spin with the axle lowered while empty or unit only, especially in the rain. But you'll get a lot more wheelspin if you use a taglift instead. It significantly changes the weight transfer as you set off. Instead of the weight being on the drive axle, it shifts to the tag axle and causes loss of traction. And again, I'll go back to physics simulation (providing you have a physics/suspension mod) It just seems far better with a 6x2 midlift. Having been in trucks countless times, this game, without a physics mod, still hasn't gotten it correct. Even with suspension setting all the way lowered, everything always feels too stiff with the other axle configs.
Damn my stupid computer and Steam! I'm missing out on so many things, this game has changed radically! I was last playing on 1.47, trying to update to 1.48, but my PC's memory wasn't enough and I couldn't update. Now it's been a year since I last played.
Damn Steam alright (a group of crooks that made us play lan games through internet, so "the system" could have statistics to know, what to advertise to you), but as for your computer - don't feel obligated to upgrade, every time they announce anything. That's what they do, so graphic makers could sell their overpriced 2nd-rate stock to "mortals". I remember the days, when ETS2 was running fine on a pentium 4, with 512mb graphics and 2Gs of memory. (Also, it took less than 30 Gs of HDD space) I'm not moving any further than 1.45. I've had it with constant littering of my HDD for few new trucks overloaded with tweaks. The game is like Lada: it's been the same for decades now, it's time to shareware it, of stop making it.
In the config.cfg file change the 0 to 1 (or the other way round idk) in the "parking_doubles" entry. Now you can select the parking space for doubles and HCT where you normally would park single trailers
Guys, I have a problem for some time now, I can't play with my friends via convoys, when I create a convoy, my friend doesn't see it, when he creates it, I don't see it either, the only option to play together is tmp and before everything worked a bit, it's weak because I can't play on mods

*Hi.. i am new to this game. I purchased cabin accessories on steam. inside the game I can add new items on truck but it does not gets saved? I do not see any 'save' button*
If you're not at a service garage and are doing it from the menu, you have to click "confirm order" bottom left when selecting vehicle upgrades/changes. If you just use the button in the lower right to leave, then it won't save. It even gives you a warning message asking you if you want to cancel all modifications. If you click YES. Then obviously you'll cancel anything you've added. I can't see how there's any other possible way to add things to the truck exterior/interior and the changes not save. Did you figure out the problem or what you were doing wrong?

Scroll Mouse Wheel to maintain speed of the camera, so you flyed faster and slower as you need
0:18 that will reduce the immersion !! We want the squeaking
I always wondered what purpose does lifting an axle serve in ETS2?
What is the advantage of using lifted/lowered axle beside the looks.
lifted Axle has
Fuel Economy
Tire Wear
Tire Noice
lowered axle supports the load if its heavier

where do i get the radio addon?
The g_set_time command provides second parameter, which is amount of minutes. If not specified, default value of 0 is used.

You have to buy them at a service point

What's the best 1:1 map mod that's not paid for ets? That works 1.53+?
