Why not? The apostles were promised thrones to judge the 12 tribes of Israel; is this a blurring of Christ's authority? Of course not. Besides, Jesus is the inheritor of David's Kingdom, making him the Davidic King. By the same token, Mary is made Davidic Queen (the Queen was always the King's mother in the Davidic Kingdom). Since Jesus transforms the Davidic mantle to that of the Messianic King, Mary's role is transformed into the Queen of Heaven by the grace of God.

Thank you so very much for posting this, Pastor Durbin. I have been saved for 42 years, and although I was never taught this, I ALWAYS knew in my Spirit, that Mary held no power, whatsoever! Absolutely blessed among women? Yes. I mean, she literally carried God in her womb, but that was about as far as it went. She, herself, knew and believed from day #1 that she was carrying the Messiah. But when He reached adulthood and He entered into all of His glory on the cross, Mary's job was done. Period! I get so tired of people always giving God's glory to Mary. I was born and raised catholic until I got saved at age 18, and when God revealed the NUMEROUS discrepancies, and fallacies of the Catholic church, I have never once looked back. I'm afraid you're mistaken if you think Mary's authority is unscriptural: the authority of Mary is vested chiefly in how the Queen in the Davidic Kingdom was the mother of the King- not a wife. If Jesus is the Davidic King, the Son of David, then Mary is likewise uplifted to the role of Queen with its due authority- and moreso if the King is Messianic. She's not autonomous with power, but graced with power by Jesus. You can see the prototype of this fidelity in 2Kings:19-20:
"So Bethsheba went to King Solomon, to speak on behalf of Adonijah. And the King rose to meet her, and bowed down to her; and had a throne brought for the King’s mother; and she sat on his right. Then she said “I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me”. And the King said to her, “Make your request, my mother; for I will not refuse you”(Kings 2:19-20)
Jesus' uplifting of Mary to Queen would be in accordance with the commandment to "honour [glorify in Hebrew] your mother and father).

No one is saying they wouldn’t want to meet Mary someday. The claim here in the video and by many professing Catholics is that your relationship with Christ is dependent/co-dependent on your relationship with Mary.
“Before Christ died on the cross he told his favorite disciple "behold your mother". She became all of ours at that moment.”
Doesn’t say that. Jesus’ statement is directed at John to take Mary and care for her as if she were his own Mother. No where does it imply that she is thus everyone’s mother and we are to try and commune with her after her death.

I was raised Catholic, went to Catholic school, attended mass each Sunday, and eventually raised my family in the church. But my reading of Scripture only consisted of the small selected reading during mass, which lacked the proper context since they were so small. It wasn't until I retired that I began to read and study Scripture, and I knew quite quickly that I could never go back to that theology. I was amazed to find out that I really didn't know the Gospel, and that the sermons I heard didn't preach it either. Now my current non-catholic church isn't perfect, but at least we have the Gospel right, and each and every sermon is centered around actual Scripture.

Sincerely, thank you so much for making this video. I happen to have been struggling with this lately and feeling some unease about Catholocism and my confusion about Mary, and but particularly salvation through faith in Jesus. I've always felt I didn't do enough and have never been obedient enough before God. I am a sinner and always have been, always will be, but I've always believed in my heart that my faith in Jesus as my Lord and saviour is most important to God over my works. I genuinely believe the thief on the cross is one of the most powerful examples we have of Gods mercy and what is important to God. The thief on the cross simply asked Jesus to remember him and he acknowledged Jesus as who he claimed to be. Jesus turned to him and said "today you will be with me in paradise" - that's all Jesus wanted from him. Acknowledge Jesus as Lord, repent for your sins, and turn to him. Jesus not only accepted the thiefs words but he welcomed him into eternal life with him straight away in that moment. That is how much he loves us. I believe that one verse even says we should come to Jesus like little children. Doing good works is wonderful too and I think this should and will come naturally through loving Jesus.

In my discussions with other Catholics on-line, I have often used the thief on the cross as an example of both Grace and the Gospel message of "saved by faith", yet I will hear responses such as "oh, that was an exception", or "it doesn't work that way today". The most difficult people to reach is what I call hard-core catholics who seem to value their church more than they do Christ.

I'm afraid you're mistaken: the authority of Mary is vested chiefly in how the Queen in the Davidic Kingdom was the mother of the King- not a wife.

Jesus is not so much downplaying/snubbing his mother, but making a greater point to the woman that an insular love that prioritises/scales itself to only those immediately ‘like’ you, such as family and race, has no place in the Kingdom of God. The woman's sin was that she could only see Jesus in terms of his immediate, convenient relations (family)- but not the outreaching quality of his love, where all can join the holy fraternity.

And they worshiped all manner or creatures with idols fashioned by the hand of man resembling these creatures. Some looked like angels/creatures. Also worshiping the Sun, moon, and stars. I do believe though that many times throughout the bible and historically, when we look closely, that God can and does take things for Himself. Like the cloud rider motifs which pagans said was baal. God says, no, I am The Most High God which comes with the clouds of heaven. So is it possible that the church can take a pagan practice and make it for The Most High God? Maybe? I don't know. @@gregrizzy3326 thank you for being so earnest, especially on this platform. For what it's worth, I'm not nearly as opinionated/certain as I may appear: I'm still a Catachumen, which is as sort of chrysalis stage before becoming Catholic.
Your understanding of pagan motifs being transformed and put under Christ's feet is on point through, I have to say. The Vatican, on a similar note, has an Egyptian obelisk outside it that was originally non-Christian; it now has a cross on it, representing how anything can be transformed and put under Christ's foot.
I'm aware of the scarcity of explicit Marian material in the Bible, so I do sympathise. However, I'm tentatively inclined to see this as divinely intentional- and, possibly, the litmus test of Catholicism's fullness among the other Churches.
If we look at the feeding of the 4000/5000, we see a paradigm of transforming scarcity to abundance. What is non-compelling is proffered by generosity to new life and significance. Could God be doing this with Mary? Catholicism is the only Church I'm aware of that takes a seemingly innocuous/scarcely expounded person and formally expounds upon her role, dignity, identity etc. Mary is veiled in the texts. Mothers, even today, are unfortunately looked over despite their sacrifices and work; Mary is the reversal of this. Instead of asking where is the most robust textual 'armour' for Mary- what the Bible explicitly 'has'- perhaps think about what you can give the faith in light of the Bible's scarcity. Jesus loves generosity, after all.
Jesus gloried himself by uplifting & transforming the social ghosts and passed-over people of his day. How impressed would he be if you uplifted his textually impoverished Mother to Queen?

He said, wretched man, that I am, who will rescue me from his body that is subject to death. He says, therefore there is now no condemnation, for those in Jesus Christ. For what the law is powerless to do that it was, weakened buy the sinful nature. God did by sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering it says that sin is condemned in the flesh, but that God will constantly renew that which is most important to him. Which is the Spirit. For Jesus says those who live and believe in me will live, even though they die, and those who live in believe in me, will never die. Jesus does not say if you believe in me, you will have eternal life unless you sin mortally. Jesus says, for those who believe in me, will not be judged, but have already passed from death to life.

The old is gone the new has come, we are eternally saved in the presence of Jesus Ephesians 1 says I am seated in the heavenly realms right now with Jesus Christ and then you ask me what if somebody sins. Isn’t that why Jesus came to the Earth to destroy the works of the devil and to forgive all sins. How many sacrifices would we have to offer up ? even kingDavid said that doesn’t take away one sin. This is all learned from the exorcism ministry started by Jesus 2000 years ago. Exorcists have very unique experiences and observations. They know very well Mary’s role since assumed into heaven. While it’s not described in the Bible, it’s also not an unbiblical idea. God commonly shares his powers through various ministries and roles, both in heaven and earth.

Well stated. Protestants' argument apart from them refusing that these teachings are there in the Bible, they presume that revelation by God stopped in the times when the books of the Bible were written. To the extent that any other revelation that is not in the Bible even when it doesn't contradict the Bible ie wrong. I wonder such kind of reasoning. Do you think Jesus was making very last-minute arrangements for his mother while hanging on the cross; a mere afterthought to mention in this most dramatic moment?? No. Throughout His ministry, Jesus prepared his disciples for what was coming. And if Jesus was making living arrangements for Mary, it would’ve been more appropriate to be cared for by his supposed brothers.
Also regarding John 19, Jesus calls her “woman” not “mother,” a title that recalls Eve, the “mother of all the living” (Gen 3:20). As Jesus is the new Adam, she is the new Eve; yet another significance worthy of devotion.

There will be those before christ who he will say I never knew you. Because christ says those who the father has given into his hands will not be snatched out of his hand. I was raised a catholic, until…I actually seriously started to read the Bible. We can read in Scriptures that Lord Jesus commanded the Apostles to first preach the Gospel to the Jews, and after also to the Heathen or Gentiles (but never vise versa ! ). I found out in Scriptures who of the Apostles for the first time went to Rome .. and it wasn't Peter. In the Book of Acts it says in Chapter 28 the following: 16 "And when we came to Rome, the Centurion delivered the Prisoners to the Captain of the Guard: but Paul was allowed to live in a house, by himself, with a Roman Soldier that kept him. 17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the Chief of the there living Jews together: and when they came together, Paul said to them: "Men and Brethren, though I have committed nothing against our people, our customs, or against our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans 18 who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of guild in me. 19 But when the Jews spoke against that verdict, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had made any accusations against my Nation. 20 For this Hope (the Gospel of Jesus Christ) therefore I have called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because for the Hope of Israel I am bound with these chains. 21 The Chief of the Jews said to Paul: "We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning you, neither any of the Brethren that came from there shewed or spoke any harm of you. 22 But we desire to hear of you what you think: for concerning this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere". The Roman catholic church claims that it was Peter who went to Rome first to preach the Gospel there first and that it was Peter who founded the catholic church there. Question: who lies? God,... or the Roman catholic church ? And what about the Letter in the Bible from Paul to the Congregation of Galatians where it says this in Chapter 2? From verse 7 we read the following: 7 "But on the contrary, when they saw that the Gospel of the Uncircumcision (Gentiles) was committed unto me, as the Gospel of the Circumcision (Jews) was unto Peter; 8 for He that gave Peter power effectively to the Apostleship of the circumcision (again: the Jews), the Same was Mighty in me toward the Gentiles. 9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the Grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we (that are Paul and Barnabas) should go unto the Heathen, and they unto the Circumcision. Again dear catholics: who lies? God’s Word, or the Roman catholic church? Bible, the book of Acts, Chapter 5, verse 29 : Then Peter and the other Apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey GOD - rather than man” !! Since the Roman catholic 'church' claims to be well-read on scriptures, then please point me in the direction of where in the Bible it says to pray to a woman, or with a rosary praising Mary, or to dead “saints.” Lord Jesus calls every believer Saints which all are who received the Holy Spirit and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord - so Rome has no authority appointing only some people saint - that is ludicrous. Please show me the name ‘pope’ in the Bible? Please show me where it says to call any mortal sinful man (the pope) your father. Please show me where the Bible says anything about purgatory, or paying indulgences (buying yourself into heaven - is God corrupt ?). Please show me where Mary was sinless? Why is it that catholics worship Mary still as a virgin when Lord Jesus had half brothers and half sisters? Mark 6 : 3 "Is this not the Carpenter, the Son of Mary, AND BROTHER OF JAMES, JOSES, JUDAS, AND SIMON? And are not HIS SISTERS here with us?” Matthew 13 : 55-56 "Is this not the Carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And HIS BROTHERS JAMES, JOSES, SIMON, AND JUDAS? AND HIS SISTERS, are they not all with us?" Please show me where it says to confess your sins to a fellow sinful man so that he may forgive them? Where does the Bible say the pope is the “vicar of Christ” on earth - how can a sinful man be te replacer of Christ on earth? That is blasphemy ! Show me where it says that a preacher must be unmarried? It was the pagan ROMAN Emperor Constantine (306 - 337 AD) who was in fact the first “pope” who hijacked the first Christian Communion in Rome founded by the apostle Paul, and he didn't allow for the common people to have Bible Scriptures...to keep believers ignorant to stay in power, as the Catholic Church still tries to do. Later pope’s started the ‘inquisition’ because the book printing machine was invented and people like Martin Luther and William Tyndale could spread the Bible in printed form to the common people: they were persecuted by Rome and many of them burned to dead for that by decree of Rome, and so were hundreds others who did the same as they denounced the FALSE doctrines of Rome. Rome called them heretics and witches while they murdered Christians who loved Jesus and true Scriptures. THESE ARE HISTORICAL FACTS. PLEASE GET OUT OF THIS FALSE CHURCH !!! The Roman catholic “church” is a continuation of the old Roman PAGAN Empire: it never went away as it disguised itself as a Christian Church. The pope, cardinals and bishops wear a Mitre - which odd head dress comes from the old pagan Rome priests representing a FISH BEAK god (I suggest you search for that). Read Revelation, Chapter 17: verse 7, 8 and 9…Read also Revelation 18 to see what God will do to this “church.”

Jesus is not so much downplaying/snubbing his mother, but making a greater point to the woman in the passage that an insular love that prioritises/scales itself to only those immediately ‘like’ you, such as family and race, has no place in the Kingdom of God. The woman's sin was that she could only see Jesus in terms of his immediate, convenient relations (family)- but not the outreaching quality of his love, where all can join the holy fraternity.
This reading is preferable because it harmonises certain quotes and context (i.e.the tradition of the Mother of the Davidic King as Queen). Without it, you risk inadvertently pitting one verse against another, namely an anti-mariological take on “blessed are those rather who hear the word of God and keep it” against “all generations shall call me blessed”. We know scripture cannot contradict.

The authority of Mary is deeply embedded in the Word of God. Her esteem is vested chiefly in how the Queen in the Davidic Kingdom was the mother of the King- not a wife. If Jesus is the Davidic King, the Son of David, then Mary is likewise uplifted to the role of Queen with its due authority- and moreso if the King is Messianic. She's not autonomous with power, as the Queen interceded the will of the King as his foremost counsellor. You can see the start of this Jewish/Biblical tradition in 2 Kings:19-20:
"So Bethsheba went to King Solomon, to speak on behalf of Adonijah. And the King rose to meet her, and bowed down to her; and had a throne brought for the King’s mother; and she sat on his right. Then she said “I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me”. And the King said to her, “Make your request, my mother; for I will not refuse you”(Kings 2:19-20)
Similarly, Jesus' uplifting of Mary to Queen would be in accordance with the commandment to "honour (glorify in Hebrew) your mother and father).

Second, if the Mary and the Saints are with God, ever thought that God Himself is omniscient? That he can inform them of any particulars? Not only that, omniscience means you know *all things, not just prayers*. Furthermore merely knowing the prayers of all people does not automatically mean to be Omniscient as in knowing everything in the universe and beyond. God can simply empower them the gift of hearing prayers.
ChatGPT, a mere manmade product can hear and respond to the posts of billions of people simultaneously. And God can't empower someone with that Gift?
      Wow.

@ so first Patrick I appreciate the reply. And I did miss speak. I did not mean omniscience. The Catholic Church believes that Mary is infinite. Now let me clarify this because in the catechism it says that Mary is finite. But at the same time, they also claim that Mary is outside of time and space. That actually is the definition of being infinite.
As for the amount of transfiguration, it was actually Moses not Abraham. And I don’t know how Moses and Elijah gives anyone permission to pray to them. The Bible is very clear that we are not to pray to the dead and I know the argument of the Catholic Church is to say that those that are in heaven are alive. And I would agree with you to that point, but the reality is from the physical world they are dead. Jesus said as much such as with Lazarus when he told the disciples plainly Lazarus is dead. The commandment to not pray to the dead is not a commandment to not pray to people in hell, who also are still very much alike. The commandment first is to pray to nobody, but God, and secondly, not to pray to anyone who has passed from this physical life.
The Catholics have absolutely no biblical basis to pray to Mary or to any of the Saints. There is no example of it. There is no command. It is simply a made up doctrine that came very late to the Roman Catholic Church. Also, Mary is never mentioned in the book of revelation . The last place that Mary is ever mentioned is in act chapter 1. For someone that the Catholics believe to be so important she has mentioned less than most of the people in scripture.
Also, Jesus himself in Mark chapter 13 clearly taught us that every person who is born again and does the wheel of the father is on equal terms with Mary. Mary herself was a sinner who confessed God as her Saviour. You don’t need to save your unless you are a sinner. The Bible also tells us in Romans chapter 3 that all have sinned, and there is none that is righteous no, not one.
Praying to Mary, the sinlessness of Mary, the immaculate conception of Mary, the assumption of Mary are all doctrines that are completely an absolutely made up. There is not one scriptural proof for it anywhere.

Response: What??? You make a lot of claims. let's start with Mary being infinite and outside of time and space? Only God is outside of temporal existence. Show me this in the CCC. There is a difference between Eternal or infinite (always existed) and Immortal (being created, having a beginning but then having everlasting life)
Let's start there. I think you are confusing the two. Show me in the CCC where they attributes God like qualities to Mary in terms of being Eternal.

Hey Jeff Durbin, don't you believe that believers who are saved by grace through faith in Christ, have to have works to accompany salvation? I believe that makes salvation not about grace alone, but about grace and works, which can confuse people to look to their works, ultimately (potentially) trusting in them for salvation. Have you ever thought about preaching that salvation is by grace through faith ALONE, APART from any of our works?

In Matthew 7:21-23, those people Jesus was describing, we're pleading with him their works that they did in His name to enter Heaven; they even said that they performed "many wonderful works", but Jesus Will cast those people out. It sounds like they trusted in their works to get saved. Jesus says that those who do the will of the Father will be saved; John 6:40 talks about the will of the Father and that is to believe on Jesus Christ. Again, it doesn't mention trying our best to get into Heaven or do many works to try and achieve salvation, etc.

While I’m am no Catholic and certainly do believe Catholicism is very much not a Christian faith, Jeff Durban is no saint himself, for you have to remember he sees through a dark glass dimly because of a demonic lens, a theology called Calvinism.
Jeff starts out the video with what we would call question begging, for example “whether Jesus keeps the ones he saves.” Of course, Calvinism (God determines who he sends to hell or heaven before birth) believes Jesus keeps the ones he saves, obviously, Jeff believes it’s all predetermined.
The statement Jeff makes assumes Jesus has to keep the ones he saves (nope). It’s easy to use a obviously false religion such as Catholicism to muster your own theology making it easy to swallow in the presence of like-minded Calvinist. However, the theme of ones (true believer) falling out of fellowship with God is laced all throughout the N.T. Jeff will continue to use “elect” (falsely) as though God has preselected before birth salvation for all.
It would be foolish of God to extend His grace to all people only to reject them beforehand, before they were born. Tit 2:11-12 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age…
Jeff’s take on Phil 1:3-6(a weak one), once you have fellowship with God, it is up to God to bring it to completion. Sounds true, yes, but not the whole truth. In order for God to bring anything to completion, you have to participate in the gospel. God will always do his part on his end, but he will not force himself on a believer who’s earthly cares of the world dominate their walk. As in the parable of the Sower.
Luke 8:13 And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. Jeff will relabel those that fall away as “false confessions of faith.” Jeff will continue to replace phrases his theology might not agree with as “false confessions of faith.”
As stated above we are called to endure, endure to the end. Mark 13:3 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, shall be saved.
Rom 11:17-24 But if some of the branches (Jews) were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I (Gentiles) might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches (Jews), neither will he spare you. Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you too will be cut off. And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.
Notice, if we do not continue in God’s kindness abiding in Him, what happens, we will be cut off just as the Jews, for God is no respecter of persons.
You cannot cherry pick and form an argument without bring in to light the full council of His Word as Jeff is so good at doing, especially using a weak false faith such as Catholicism.
Paul reminds the believers in Philippians 2, that he hoped his work in the gospel would not be in vain, which leads me to another one of Paul’s reminders of believers whose belief might be in vain.
1 Cor 15:1 Now I would remind you, BROTHERS, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you-unless you believed in vain.
Col 1:22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.
As you can read for yourself, there are conditions upon the response for the believer.
Heb 3:12-14 Take care, BROTHERS(Christians), lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
In the above scriptures Paul never alludes to as Jeff does ““false confessions of faith.” Jeff will raise the point “there will always be false confessions of faith” without giving credence to other verses that are against the mantra leading you to think there is no falling away, but Jeff sees only false believers.
Know look at Mat 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
What is lawlessness? Sin. As in Heb 3:12-14, (as stated above) sin hardens the heart to the point of falling away.
Once again, Jeff will not raise the other points in the passage, mainly lawlessness, which in this setting is basically sin, another man-made idea trying to combine worldliness with righteousness. The word “knew” in this passage means to come to know, to recognize. It implies a knowledge that is gained through experience or personal relationship. Also read Corinthians 8:3. “The one who loves God is known by God. The word “known” here is the same Greek word used in Mat 7:21. What it DOES NOT mean, is that Jesus never permitted you in the kingdom as though you were a false believer as a Calvinist might interpret. With this in mind, the passage is made much clearer. To be known by the Lord is to love God, and those who love God will keep his Word, simple as that.
1 John 2. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. Notice "keeps his word" persistent unrepented sin and behavior will keep a "believer" form entering the Kingdom of God/Heaven per Gal 5:19.
Joh 15:6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. (abide means to remain/stay).
Jesus states, “Why do you call me Lord and not do as I say.” I’m sure Jeff will also see this as a “false confessions of faith.” Whether a true believer (one who believes for a while) or one whose faith was not viable to begin with, the scripture holds true on both ends.
Jeff will raise the point “there will always be false confessions of faith” without giving credence to the verses above that will lead you to think there is no falling away, but Jeff sees only false confessions.
Paul’s writing to the church. Rom 2. But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS/works:
to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.
There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God.
Jeff will say, about false believers, “they never been filled with the spirit of God.”
However, Paul’s warning to spirit filled believers in Gal 5 to walk by the Spirit and not follow after the desires of the flesh, “I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God”.
Paul was also “filled with the spirit of God” and even warned himself after preaching to others, he himself might be disqualified from receiving the prize (salvation) an imperishable wreath.
There are so many spiritual errors in the video on Jeff's side, timewise the comment section will not hold all my thoughts in one statement.

Yes Catholics believe you have to “work” to stay in the faith. That’s how the Catholic Church is structured. Jesus saves you and forgives your sins up to salvation after that the church takes over. So you need/have to go to church to receive the sacraments and take part in communion confession attend mass etc etc etc, that way you can stay in a state of Grace.
