16:25 - “Someone in the chat just said ‘Damn, there’s SOMETHING behind you;’ don’t do that” That’s a big reference to OMORI, actually! Looks like you had some experienced OMORI players in the chat there.
I'm surprised that night in the woods isn't being suggested much, most likely because it's such an hidden gem, it's soundtrack is probably one of the more stunningly beautiful i've ever heard tho
Agree 100%. Night in the Woods is another masterpiece, but doesn't even make my top 10 in terms of video games, whereas OMORI is currently holding top spot.
This is one of the most creative OSTs I’ve ever heard and I LOVE it, especially within the context of the game! I’d definitely recommend checking out the OMORI Jukebox tracks - it’s a bunch of secret tracks collected in the game that are all remixes of other songs from the OST
Omori is a masterpiece of musical storytelling. I can’t recommend this game enough, as it’s an experience worth experiencing. It’s a different kind if psychological horror, and the music in this game is so important towards telling that story. Don’t spoil yourself with this game. It’s best to go in as blind as possible. Close your eyes, you’ll be here soon.
What's even funnier, is that Toby Fox also helped with music in this, another reason to add to the list of reasons why omoris OST is ridiculously good!
I'm surprised that you didn't say much about the OST "Help Me" At the beginning, ( 1:12:08 ) we hear these notes played, which feel like fear, like you're scared of something. And then, at the middle, there's these types of child-like notes being played until 1:12:18 where it sounds like you're trying to calm yourself down. And it seems to be replaying the same childish melody until 1:12:33 where there's this type of background noise, and then while it's almost about to end it, it plays the melody again but this time, it's more intense, like you're trying VERY hard to calm yourself down. And right when it's almost at the end, we hear the same notes played again at the end. ( 1:12:41 ) It's like a person feeling very, very afraid, but then they try their best to overcome it. They succeed once, but then they think about the same thing AGAIN and try again to calm down, but this time, they fail. Then, they try again, this time, even harder as the calming child-like melody gets more intense in their head. And right when they think everything is going to be okay, the fear comes back, making it seem that there is no hope for that person. (THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR OMORI) That sounds like someone we know. BASIL. I'm not sure if I'm right, but I think this took place at 3 days left, when you go to check on Basil while his fear is all around him. We hear that fearful melody when we first see him, but right after he sees us, this child-like "calming" melody plays. This either means that Basil told himself that "Sunny is still here, calm down" (the most likely option) or that he was trying his best to not break down in front of sunny. But then, after a while, the fearful melody plays again. And this repeats over and over. I got this to sync on my first playthrough, where the fearful melody did not repeat itself until I went to leave. And that made it even more disturbing.
Your profile picture scare me because it remind me of my friend, he took care of me before he passed away, weird to remember just because of that image
When you explained Acrophobia as the feeling of jumping off a tower from Assassins Creed I was like, "Bro, Acrophobia is literally the fear of heights, there is no way you used such a perfect example."
omori is definitely one of my favorite games that ive played recently, glad youre reacting to it. personally id love to see you react to little nightmares 2’s ost, theres a lot of great stuff in there and the atmosphere it creates is really interesting
i loved your reactions in this as usual. it was kinda hard to listen to certain songs because they give me that really strong bittersweet nostalgia feeling. most of this game does but i’ll be happy to show up in time for part 2!
fun fact, several of the songs in this half of the soundtrack are actually references to another music project by one of the omori musicians! jami lynne, one of the composers, rebranded her band to clover&sealife a while ago, but before that she had a project called space boyfriend space boyfriend shows up as a character in omori, and a bunch of the music directly related to him references either melodies ("space boyfriend's tape - i want nothing more" directly pulls its melody from "bug spray", the title track of an album (fun fact, this means the tape has sort-of-canon lyrics!)) or lyrics ("lovesick - 80,000 lightyears" is named after the lyrics of "starry sea" (we're 80,000 lightyears away from home), and "you were wrong. go back." references "ill moonlight" (in which the lyric "you were wrong, go back" is repeated in a sort of bridge)) from the project! the music is fairly old now, and ill admit that it might not be as reaction-worthy as popular game soundtracks, but i still like it and its some neat trivia! :)
secondary fun fact, the omori soundtrack has 3 songs composed by bo en, a decently large musician in his own right! the only one in this part of the soundtrack by him is tussle among trees, but theres another battle theme and, well, i wont spoil the last one :P
@@kdc_creative And his leitmotifs show up once in a while. For example a few parts of See in Your Dreams sounds like Winter Valentine, one of his first songs
I definitely feel like the tracks make a lot more sense when in context of the game, as is a pretty unique game, and dare i say it, it fits with the art style too, which is half pixelated and half hand-drawn/rough choppy animation.
it’s been awhile since i’ve played the game, and it’s still one of my favorites, but reanalyzing the music in its different pieces and meanings brings me back so hard. it reminds me of all the emotions and ideas and concepts this game brought to me… and how much i adore each and every one. it captures such simple, yet complex and specific feelings that ebb and flow-pushing and pulling these waves of emotion and memory: from nostalgia, childlike glee, curiosity, peace, to sickening fear, grief, regret, sorrow, and an abundance of longing. even just in the soundtrack, this game tells a fantastic story filled with elements that strike such chord in me (pun intended).

Omori... I really see Omori as the combination between Earthbound but with certain very unusual aspects from Yume Nikki, made by very artistic people. It is also what pulled me into the game to begin with. Great reaction vid and cant wait to see part 2!
Everyone is borrowing something from others these days. Maybe just as part of "easter eggs" or something, since many team members in many games knows each other since forever. Like "hands" in Omori is straight up hands from Yume Nikki, or Gaster in Undertale, or yo-yo toys and hat with baseball bat from Earthbound, etc...

At first, I'm just here for my favorite games. I don't really know how to appreciate music pieces by myself, but enjoying music with you REALLY helps me notice the beauty in all those details! i think i'm slowly understanding music now lol. Thank you so much for the amazing stream! loving it!
its kind of interesting how quite a lot of the songs he called calming have an underlying unease to them when you play the game. I also never noticed until now how all the phobia songs almost exude the feeling of that fear on you with the fear of heights having those long notes and spider one almost this stuttering sound like crawling
First things first, the Omori OST is one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard, because every track fits the atmosphere and it's characters to near perfection. It's also incredibly unique. Second, I'd totally recommend watching the Genshin Impact concert because the Genshin OST is FIRE and you don't even have to like the game to see that.
i don’t care if it’s the musical embodiment of a sugar rush or if it makes me cry, it’s all going in my playlist. ..except for the entire humphrey level. that’s c r e e p y .
i HIGHLY recommend the miitopia ost. It's really good and filled with bops and beautiful music and it also is made by nintendo. If that doesn't sell it too i don't know what does XD. but ye i hope you listen to it !
15:15 perfect description there. acrophobia /ˌakrəˈfəʊbɪə/ noun extreme or irrational fear of heights. when this plays we are faced with a tall ladder or a staircase.
@12:40 ish "A Home for Flowers (Tulip)" I am stunned that he did not notice the drumbeats are basically the same rhythm as a heartbeat. Am I the only person who notices that? lol
I just realized a trilogy of games that have VERY unique soundtracks: the APE ESCAPE games(1,2,and 3). Great tracks all around for all 3. (And “Pumped And Primed” has tons of amazing remixes😉👍🏻) Ps: No Straight Roads would ALSO be a great choice for a videogame soundtrack that SLAPS!🎉👍🏻
Hey dude, I’m loving the content! Just as a recommendation both the Ori and the Blind Forrest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps have the most beautiful soundtrack I’ve heard in any game ever!
48:04 While on a more obtuse scale this is still an astute observation, as obviously this battle is your group vs. Space Ex-Boyfriend, but at the same time it's really fitting for Spaceboy's conflicting emotions during the battle, reminiscing of Sweetheart! 48:16 Oh damn nevermind he hit that on the money.
Wow, I didn’t expect to like this game’s music this much! I think you should react to Subnautica’s OST sometime. It’s very immersive and great music. I can recommend terraria’s music and maybe some Pokémon games. In my opinion Pokémon diamond/pearl has the best soundtrack, and I don’t like the new games music too much.
It’s amazing how you said Acrophobia made you feel like your stomach is dropping, since acrophobia is fear of heights. Goes to show how well the music conveys the feelings it wants to convey
1:08:32 see you tomorrow plays at the end of your last day in your home town before you move away. The contradictions in the music itself could be reflecting the contradiction between the title of the song and when it plays in game
Aw man I’m upset I missed this! I love how by your side evolves throughout its run time before settling back down. They’re very subtle additions, but it makes my brain happy
I think the Inscryption sound track would be an interesting one to listen too. It was one of the best games of the year and has a few guitar pieces in there for ya! Love the series I enjoy learning about music facts while popping these streams on in the background.
I'm going back to this video after having played OMORI myself and what I find interesting too is that how you've grown as a content creator compared to back when you made this video. You give a lot more of your comments and analyses these days and I really like that.
So some suggestions for OSTs to react to eventually: 1. Homestuck OST (because Toby Fox helped with alot of it), iirc there are like 12 official albums to go along with the comic, as well as fan albums, so there's ALOT to cover there. Maybe you could even react to some of the big flashes that go along with some of the songs (maybe not, since you won't exactly have the context for what the hecc is going on, but it could still be fun :)) 2. Friday Night Funkin OST (Original game soundtrack by KawaiiSprite and maybe throw some mod OSTs in there too), it'll be a bit different from the other OSTs you've reacted to since there are 'vocals' to go with the songs, but still something i'd personally like to see Also, you should absolutely play Omori after you've finished listening to the soundtrack, since alot of the songs would be way more impactful when they play in-game.
Some cool OSTs you can check out: 1. MAD RAT DEAD - ridiculously fun. It's made for a rhythm game, but I can't imagine actually playing it because you wouldn't be able to stop dancing. 2. If you didn't put Hades (and all the other Supergiant Games - Bastion, Transistor and Pyre) into the vote yet, do it already. 3.The Binding of Isaac, whichever soundtrack you choose because there's two DLCs and also separate OSTs for the old online version and the Antibirth mod from different composers, but the Repentance DLC is probably the best one. 4. Calamity Mod for Terraria, a whole bunch of cool boss battle themes in a unique style. 5. Enter the Gungeon - I don't even know how to begin describing that one, but it was made for a game where you raid a castle using guns and blasters to fight off living ammunition and wreak havoc, and it fits it's purpose perfectly. 6. Epic Battle Fantasy 3, 4 or 5, and maybe Bullet Heaven 2 (same composer) - they started out as parodies on Final Fantasy and Touhou respectively, but there was definitely care put into the games and the music.
J-Trigger did a pretty phenomenal metal remix of It Means Everything that I believe will have the drops you are seeking. :) I'm so glad to see you cover this OST!
I played this game back in June, and I haven’t really been looking into the main game itself since, mostly the fanworks and stuff. Now listening back to these tunes I heard not even a year ago, it’s nostalgic. The soundtrack is great, right up there with Undertale and Sonic Mania!
22:00 Im sure it was a mandolin. Like, the sound itself, and also there will be a few other italian-ish tracks with that instrument. Balalaika also has more strident sound, since its strums are very, very tight.
loving the video so far! This morning I remembered a classic I used to play when I was younger and the music is just.. nostalgic and amazing overall. Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. I suggest you give it a go as you will not be disappointed
This is the most enjoyable music reaction videos I've ever seen. The way you analyse and breakdown the feeling and technique of every song is simply amazing
Im so happy i got to finally watch this!! The Omori ost is such a unique one. If you are into RPG/Storytelling games You should play it on stream i would definitely watch it! It is genuinely my second favourite game of all time and it is worth the entire play through!
While it doseng contain as much music, more ambience and sound effects, Little Nightmares has an amazing OST. Im not sure you can do it on stream, but i definitelly recommend checking it out as well as the sequel's OST. It would be interesting to see what youd think about it.

I'm surprised that night in the woods isn't being suggested much, most likely because it's such an hidden gem, it's soundtrack is probably one of the more stunningly beautiful i've ever heard tho
Thanks for the reminder for me to check it out
night in the woods was a banger game
Agree 100%. Night in the Woods is another masterpiece, but doesn't even make my top 10 in terms of video games, whereas OMORI is currently holding top spot.

ikrrr!!
This is one of the most creative OSTs I’ve ever heard and I LOVE it, especially within the context of the game! I’d definitely recommend checking out the OMORI Jukebox tracks - it’s a bunch of secret tracks collected in the game that are all remixes of other songs from the OST
Loved your reactions to the music. Can't wait for part two!
Coming soon!
I can see what you did there

I feel like the OMORI ost is not art as OST by OST, but the progression and evolution of all the songs as they progress
I like how he actually gets kinda scared when the phobia music plays

What's even funnier, is that Toby Fox also helped with music in this, another reason to add to the list of reasons why omoris OST is ridiculously good!
Which one?
Also bo en
As far as I know he didn't really do much. The composers are simply amazing on their own, no need to downplay their skills.

Ahh if only he understood some of the context for this music and the rest of the ost haha. Love the reaction as always Dan. Can’t wait for more!
trueee, it means everything hits so hard if you know the context
I'm surprised that you didn't say much about the OST "Help Me"
At the beginning, ( 1:12:08 ) we hear these notes played, which feel like fear, like you're scared of something.
It's like a person feeling very, very afraid, but then they try their best to overcome it.
(THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR OMORI)
That sounds like someone we know.
Underrated analysis
Your profile picture scare me because it remind me of my friend, he took care of me before he passed away, weird to remember just because of that image
When you explained Acrophobia as the feeling of jumping off a tower from Assassins Creed I was like, "Bro, Acrophobia is literally the fear of heights, there is no way you used such a perfect example."
This was SO fun to watch live! I cannot wait for part 2!! Thank YOU so much for doing this!!
You are so welcome! Looking forward to part 2!
The Omori OST is just amazing. It inspired me a lot in my music learning. Congrats for such an amazing streaming, greetings from Spain mate (◕‿◕)
Nico Core, que haces aquí xd
"it means everything" is my favourite song from the ost, legit gives me chills everytime i listen to it
omori is definitely one of my favorite games that ive played recently, glad youre reacting to it. personally id love to see you react to little nightmares 2’s ost, theres a lot of great stuff in there and the atmosphere it creates is really interesting
I forgot about LN2 for a sec, but the ost is amazing, hell yes
Everyone in chat crediting bo en and Pedro Silva but everyone forgets about Jami Lynne
Great reaction as always, can't wait to see part 2!
Thanks again! Looking forward to it!
Late as hell but

Reminder: please no spoilers chat :)
i loved your reactions in this as usual. it was kinda hard to listen to certain songs because they give me that really strong bittersweet nostalgia feeling. most of this game does but i’ll be happy to show up in time for part 2!
fun fact, several of the songs in this half of the soundtrack are actually references to another music project by one of the omori musicians!
jami lynne, one of the composers, rebranded her band to clover&sealife a while ago, but before that she had a project called space boyfriend
space boyfriend shows up as a character in omori, and a bunch of the music directly related to him references either melodies ("space boyfriend's tape - i want nothing more" directly pulls its melody from "bug spray", the title track of an album (fun fact, this means the tape has sort-of-canon lyrics!)) or lyrics ("lovesick - 80,000 lightyears" is named after the lyrics of "starry sea" (we're 80,000 lightyears away from home), and "you were wrong. go back." references "ill moonlight" (in which the lyric "you were wrong, go back" is repeated in a sort of bridge)) from the project!
the music is fairly old now, and ill admit that it might not be as reaction-worthy as popular game soundtracks, but i still like it and its some neat trivia! :)
secondary fun fact, the omori soundtrack has 3 songs composed by bo en, a decently large musician in his own right! the only one in this part of the soundtrack by him is tussle among trees, but theres another battle theme and, well, i wont spoil the last one :P
@@kdc_creative What's the other battle theme one ?
@@Naito9874 splintered sweets in the castle
@@kdc_creative And his leitmotifs show up once in a while. For example a few parts of See in Your Dreams sounds like Winter Valentine, one of his first songs
Bo en also did the two console exclusive bosses
I definitely feel like the tracks make a lot more sense when in context of the game, as is a pretty unique game, and dare i say it, it fits with the art style too, which is half pixelated and half hand-drawn/rough choppy animation.
Omori was such a beastly game.
they had the biggest ballz creating this game and i loved it.

Burgers on my mind
it’s been awhile since i’ve played the game, and it’s still one of my favorites, but reanalyzing the music in its different pieces and meanings brings me back so hard.
it reminds me of all the emotions and ideas and concepts this game brought to me… and how much i adore each and every one. it captures such simple, yet complex and specific feelings that ebb and flow-pushing and pulling these waves of emotion and memory: from nostalgia, childlike glee, curiosity, peace, to sickening fear, grief, regret, sorrow, and an abundance of longing.
even just in the soundtrack, this game tells a fantastic story filled with elements that strike such chord in me (pun intended).

Great reaction can't wait for part 2!
Can't wait!
same
I just remembered that I was one of the people to recommend Omori, and I dunno that just gave me the happy chemical. Great reactions as always!!
The new thumbnails you're giving to your old videos look great
Each song may not sound good, but once you have context the songs become far better than they are.
yo kel
i HIGHLY recommend the miitopia ost. It's really good and filled with bops and beautiful music and it also is made by nintendo. If that doesn't sell it too i don't know what does XD. but ye i hope you listen to it !
man… just listening to these songs make me cry.
I’ve never shed so many tears for a game, but the ending of this game destroyed me
15:15 perfect description there.
acrophobia
/ˌakrəˈfəʊbɪə/
noun
extreme or irrational fear of heights.
when this plays we are faced with a tall ladder or a staircase.
This game is so "wholesome"
I like watching these because it makes me feel like I’m listening to music that I like with a friend :D
you ARE listening to music you like with a friend. welcome :)
Omori is an amazing game and I loved you reactions to some of the songs :)
Omg Omori and Deltarune lover very valid
24:20 fun fact, the ''bups'' in this song are sampled from Scatman John
I can’t wait for the other parts but especially the song worlds end valentine it’s definitely a banger
I’m glad I caught the stream, excited for part two!
Hope you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
@12:40 ish "A Home for Flowers (Tulip)" I am stunned that he did not notice the drumbeats are basically the same rhythm as a heartbeat. Am I the only person who notices that? lol
That's what I was thinking too
One of my personal favorite osts are paper Mario the origami king. Non stop bangers and I don’t know why.
yes, that ost is downright brilliant
This OST had my entire heart the moment I first heard it. This game is so good.
I just realized a trilogy of games that have VERY unique soundtracks: the APE ESCAPE games(1,2,and 3). Great tracks all around for all 3. (And “Pumped And Primed” has tons of amazing remixes😉👍🏻)
Ps: No Straight Roads would ALSO be a great choice for a videogame soundtrack that SLAPS!🎉👍🏻
No straight roads? yes please!
Hey dude, I’m loving the content! Just as a recommendation both the Ori and the Blind Forrest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps have the most beautiful soundtrack I’ve heard in any game ever!
I would like to recommend the Ori and the blind forest series, the OST is super long, but keeps the same emotional depth as the story progresses
can't wait for part 2 :)
Yes Terraria pls
100 sunny reminds a lot of something you'd hear in mario
Quite a few of these songs need context to feel the full impact, but it's an overall amazing ost that rivals undertales
It’s amazing how you said Acrophobia made you feel like your stomach is dropping, since acrophobia is fear of heights. Goes to show how well the music conveys the feelings it wants to convey
sorry for leaving! well thanks!! i requested this aAAA TYSM!!!!
cant wait for part 2!
No worries! Thank you for watching!
1:08:32 see you tomorrow plays at the end of your last day in your home town before you move away. The contradictions in the music itself could be reflecting the contradiction between the title of the song and when it plays in game
It actually plays at the end of each day
Aw man I’m upset I missed this! I love how by your side evolves throughout its run time before settling back down. They’re very subtle additions, but it makes my brain happy
I think the Inscryption sound track would be an interesting one to listen too. It was one of the best games of the year and has a few guitar pieces in there for ya! Love the series I enjoy learning about music facts while popping these streams on in the background.
спасибо что отреагировал! мне очень нравятся твои реакции :)
Hope you enjoyed!!!! Looking forward to parts 2 and 3~
I did! Looking forward!
WELL DAMN I WASNT EXACTLY EXPECTING THIS
I'm going back to this video after having played OMORI myself and what I find interesting too is that how you've grown as a content creator compared to back when you made this video. You give a lot more of your comments and analyses these days and I really like that.
So some suggestions for OSTs to react to eventually:
1. Homestuck OST (because Toby Fox helped with alot of it), iirc there are like 12 official albums to go along with the comic, as well as fan albums, so there's ALOT to cover there. Maybe you could even react to some of the big flashes that go along with some of the songs (maybe not, since you won't exactly have the context for what the hecc is going on, but it could still be fun :))
2. Friday Night Funkin OST (Original game soundtrack by KawaiiSprite and maybe throw some mod OSTs in there too), it'll be a bit different from the other OSTs you've reacted to since there are 'vocals' to go with the songs, but still something i'd personally like to see
Also, you should absolutely play Omori after you've finished listening to the soundtrack, since alot of the songs would be way more impactful when they play in-game.
Not me already bouta cry hearing the title 💀 THE NOSTALGIAAAAAA
Edit: UGHHHH THEY ARE ALL MAKING ME WANNA CRY I JUST GET SO MUCH NOSTALGIAAAAA
It's here at last
Some cool OSTs you can check out:
Any of the many Binding of Isaac osts are 100% worth listening to.
I love the switches in emotion whenever you are smiling at a song and then it goes spooky and you go serious 😭
Kind of ironic seeing so many people not wanting spoilers when the soundtrack and titles are themselves serious spoilers.
23:45 never noticed this bit in this song. I gotta replay the game again. Hear all the cool stuff
THAT'S WHAT ACROPHOBIA IS THE FEAR OF HEIGHTS. Its amazing!
It's impressive how this has 1k likes 0 dislikes
Really says something about the soundtrack and fandom
This is the most enjoyable music reaction videos I've ever seen. The way you analyse and breakdown the feeling and technique of every song is simply amazing
Im so happy i got to finally watch this!! The Omori ost is such a unique one. If you are into RPG/Storytelling games You should play it on stream i would definitely watch it! It is genuinely my second favourite game of all time and it is worth the entire play through!
Great reactions! I can't wait for part 2!!!

i like how you look almost disgusted when jamming out to music, it adds to your character
i like that your reacting to more ost's. Keep going!

While it doseng contain as much music, more ambience and sound effects, Little Nightmares has an amazing OST. Im not sure you can do it on stream, but i definitelly recommend checking it out as well as the sequel's OST. It would be interesting to see what youd think about it.
