When i first watched this episode i couldnt believe that ulrich and older ulrich are two different actors. Still blows my mind - incredible casting!
Yep. I had figured out the stranger was Jonas pretty early because I though Jonas and the stranger looked so much alike they had to be the same person
How much do you really remember what people looked like when you were a child? I was in high school in the mid 80s same as these characters. I had just graduated in June 1987 in fact. If most of my classmates showed up today looking like they did then honestly I wouldn't remember most of them

For real, I already barely recognize my primary school friends in pictures already (I barely even recognize myself in pictures as a child !). People often overestimate what we remember, especially when you're not particularly expecting time travel and your childhood friends to show up xD.
True but also Hannah knew Michael VERY well, someone you met as a child and then ended up marrying would be a lot easier to remember. I personally think its because the characters obviously would never immediately suspect time travel being involved, they likely just brush it off as a weird coincidence.
Have you not met anyone who looks like someone from your distant past? It's not time travel that comes to mind.
The good thing with Dark is, every question will be answered at some point, just not when one want it to be answered. Remember the question is not how or if, but when 😉
Being realístic if you were Hanna its probable you think at some point, "Oh, Ulrich son looks like my husban when he was that age" but its imposible to catch that its acctually your husband if you dont know about the Time travel stuff.
Not to mention that kids that age, in a period of two/three years ahead change so much.
The versión of him that really last was an older versión of himself.
I love how insanely difficult it is to explain time passage in a non-linear fashion and having two instances of a character live in the same moment 😅 but that's part of the Dark magic
kudos to claudia for remembering all those little details happening at the office.. i can hardly remember what i ate a few days ago 🤣

It's weird how hung up you got on Hannah not recognizing Mikkel. First off, how often did she actually see Mikkel in 2019 to know what he looked like? It was made clear early on that their families didn't really interact when she didn't want to go to the parent meeting in the very first episode because Katarina might be there. But more importantly, how well do you really remember people from 33 years ago? I know I couldn't do it without some kind of pictures as reference. At most you might get a sense of deja vu, or something similar. People really overestimate their ability to remember things in that kind of detail.
I enjoyed seasons 1 & 2, still haven’t finished up season 3.
In a rut for me now. I actually got lost with the “circular” storyline, and am tired of the old man staring at the painting, Lol.
Need to finish. Season 4 incoming.

What old man and painting? There are no such scenes in season 3. What you're talking about is all season 2. Literally the first scene of season 3 contradicts what you're saying it is.
This was always 3 three season story. There is no season 4. If there was it would have been out alrady considering season 3 came out on June 27 2020
