This is what I did to fix the 40% problem: Do not cancel the transfer, when you get the error just restart the iPhone using the "power and volume buttons". Once the iPhone restarts, open WhatsApp again and the import page will show up again. Click on Start button and this time it should complete to 100%.. It worked for me after resetting my iPhone more than 3 times trying. I hope it works for you guys too... Good luck! 👌🏾
Don't waste your time with this video. It's misleading. You need to pay for the second option, and they haven't disclosed this information in the video.
Perfect, as a few of the others on here commenting, it did take a few hours to do. This isn't the fault of the guy in the video, it's just how it is and dependent on how much data you want to import. It worked out for me after making my backup smaller removing videos that weight the most my backup from 16gb to 6.3gb it took forever around 8 hours, but it was finished, don't pay attention to the time it says it will finish it takes like 20 times longer than it says, not exaggerating is around 20 times the time

Hey, This is not a straight forward solution, but this is what worked for me. Just like u, me too have been using my phone since few months and had data in it. 1) I took a backup of my whole data to iCloud and then did a factory reset of the iphone. 3) Transferred WhatsApp from my old android phone to current iPhone using move to ios app during Setup procedure. 4) Once setup is complete, WhatsApp will be transferred to iphone. 5) Take a backup of WhatsApp chat to iCloud 6) Do factory reset again 7) this time restore your data from iCloud during next Setup procedure. 8) Once setup is complete, ur whole data will be back as it is. 9) Restore WhatsApp chats from iCloud. It might seem quite long & tiring procedure, but it is not that complicated. :) You will not loose ur WhatsApp data, neither ur current phone data.

On transfer from Android to Iphone it will make you disable security features to prevent installation of malicious software from USB, then in iPhone it asks to disable find my iphone feature, maybe later it also asks to disable PIN. None of these steps are needed for such a simple task.

Not working. Tried several times to transfer on iphone 7+
Somebody please help, so I have moved all my data from android to iPhone using move to ios and all data has been transferred but I am still unable to restore my whatsapp on my iPhone. I am not able to complete the step performed from 02:42 onwards. Please guide me someone as I have already made 3 tries each lasting for about 3 hours and still I am failing.
I did this 4 times and same! It doesn't give me the option later on when I open the WhatsApp 😢

@@emadzafar2025hi, i just bought a new iphone for the first time and im having a hard time transferring whatsapp. the first time i didn’t transfer whatsapp and it all went smoothly, but when i realised i could only import the chats with the move to ios app i restored the iphone and re-did the transfer, this time including whatsapp. It keeps getting stuck towards the end of the transfering, what can i do?

Do you remember yours being also stuck at some point.. it keeps saying "Time remaining: About 5 minutes" but has been for the past hour or so...
@@AlexM-pu6kb Oh no i wasn't stuck at a point. I guess maybe it will be the network, cause i remember when i tried doing the day it was running slow and it kept twlling me to restart because of my connection so i decided to do it at midnight.
If its not a network issue then i don't what the problem is.
