Thank you Christine, truly appreciate you taking the time to watch this video. You can definitely check out my page for more videos like this one. I have a recent anniversary gift idea wine glass pair that I just posted a few days ago. I think you might like that one too.
I love this one!!! Something that I tried after the modge podge was a spray sealer. I have 2 different ones...Kamar Varnish and Clear Acrylic high gloss coating... hope this was helpful, because your video was helpful to me🥰
Yes this was most definitely helpful, I do have the clear acrylic high gloss spray so I should try it on my next project. Thanks a bunch for the suggestions 😊
I always wanted to try to glitter glasses but was afraid I couldn’t wash them. As I read the comments and saw you can now I will try and see how they come out. I also bought clear plates I want to make a tiered tray. My question is, do I glitter the top or bottom of the plates? I know it’s my preference but I want it to look nice and I know you can help me with this. TY Antonietta
Hi Antonietta, thanks for your comment, I'm happy this video was helpful. You can glitter the top of the tray will not be used to store food items but allow it to dry properly and then seal it with the Krylon Acrylic UV Clear Coat spray. If you will be using it for good ho ahead and glitter the bottom, once dried the beauty of the glitter will pop so lovely 😍.
Hi Annisa, thanks for popping by and thanks for your comment. The shape I was able to achieve by putting the first end of the tape in a slant position then going higher on the glass and around. I can post another video showing how I achieved that design if you like.
Hi Christy, thanks for popping by and dropping a comment. I did a video a few months ago which should be helpful for you on making the number on the wine glass. You can use this link ruclips.net/video/zHWJ20e2WWc/видео.html or go to my channel and see the video there. It's called how to apply number 19 on a wine glass. If that doesn't help let me know and I'll post a video for you.
Thanks for your feedback Bernice, I will definitely work on a full video of how that process is done. It's very rewarding especially the name customization.
I use mod podge I also tried triple thick as a sealer. It’s good. My glitter wine glasses don’t come out looking real smooth like yours. Could it be because I don’t let them dry for two hours???
Thanks Ja'Lesia, I've never tried the triple thick. Does it usually dry quickly? The technique I use is to allow the mod podge and glitter to dry as much as possible or I speed up the process by using my hair dryer. But that might be the problem I suspect. Also try using small coat of glue application and see if that helps.
@@craftbasicsjs thank you so much. I think this might be the problem too. I’m not allowing the glitter to really set into the glue. Which is probably why the glitter always looks clumpy
What did you do after you did the final coating over the entire glass? The video went from full white and flip upside down to the green tape on the glass.
Hi Melody, that final coat of Mod Podge was used to seal the glitter so I allowed it to dry before moving to the next step where I applied the tape to add the name.
Hi ,thanks for replying to my last question x I have glittered the lower part of my wine glass. I would like to put vinyl sticker on top of the glass ,could you tell me step by step what i have to do XX
Hi Lida, do you want me to show you how to do it from scratch using the design space? I use a Cricut explorer 2 to cut my vinyls. Do you already have a machine?
Hi, I'm not entirely sure how that would come out because that glue is on the thicker side and may not give you the smooth coverage as a sealer. It might even take away from how flawless your product will appear.
Instead of going on about doing it quick because mod podge drys just do a section at a time. Surely this should be about enjoyment not working at her speed. Obviously she can be quick but let beginners know that a slower option is available!
@@craftbasicsjs True but try the TRIPLE THICK and the glass came out BEAUTIFUL! I don't know were you live but there's a Store called Hobby Lobby and they're online as well for purchase it's 30%off
I'm a huge fan of glitter and those 2 colours ar gorgeous together i love red and gold glitter 😊😊😊
Thank you.... it was one of my favorite glitter pieces ✨️

I have try the spray but when I was the glas all gliter became like gam
The mod podge has to be dried like for a few days for it to work properly. I personally have done it and it works great.
*Hello, I'm new here with A Big Thumbs up!!! Loved this!!! Awesome share!!! 😍😍😍* Sharon in SC
You are most welcome Sharon 😊... appreciate the love and you stopping by
This came out beautifully
Thanks, appreciate the feedback.
Just curious how you would wash this glass?
Hand wash only, not dishwasher recommended.
Absolutley beautiful.
Thanks Cathy.... Greatly appreciate your feedback 😊
This is hella pretty. I apply my glitter and seal just the same and it doesn't take away the shine from my finished project they pop just the same
Thank you, these projects are definitely a beautiful finish... love them. Thanks for your support and feedback.
@@craftbasicsjs most DEFINATELY Queen
Did you coat the glitter with anything afterward
Yes I coated it with the same Mod Podge. Follow the video to the end and I show you all the steps take it beautiful 😍
Olá sou do Brasil..amei o trabalho q cola vc usou
Thank you... I used the E6000 Glue, these are strong glues for your craft projects.
How did you seal it once the name was on?
Hi Brandy I didn't have to seal the name because it was glued on with permanent glue.
I would love to see Christmas theme glasses

Have you ever thought about using vinyl for the name and then applying the stones on top of the vinyl? I have done that.
Thanks for that suggestion Angelita, I should definitely try doing that one.

@@antoniettacampanaro2876 you are most welcome 🤗 Happy New Year to you too. Let me know how it goes ok.
Have you tried the modge podge spray?
No but this is something I should
In total you did 3 layers of mod podge ?really beautiful gifting idea
Yes I did 3 layers, the last one was to seal the glitter in place
Thank you, I'm glad this was helpful for you
Thank you for this wonderful video
You are most welcome Stephanie
How much is the order
It depends on what information is required on the glass.
its very beautiful
Thank you Lily 😊🥰
I use modpodge spray and sit outside overnight. It comes out great.
Ok awesome, and that's also dishwasher safe? Thanks for the tip... I'll look into trying that option for sure.
Do you the mod podge. spray after the 2 layers of mod podge ? Thanks 😊
Beautiful I prefer the two tone better
Thanks 😊
Love the look 😍
Thank you 😊
Very nice
Is there any technique to use to keep the mod podge from giving a dull coated finish🤔
You can try using the glossy mod podge or use the krylon UV coat spray when everything is dried.
what is the name of the sealer you used to seal it
I used Mod Podge to seal after the applications
Aonde consigo essa cola@@craftbasicsjs
@salsichaxtmdmff941 the link is in my description of the video.
That is beautiful 😍
Thank you 😊
Can you wash these wine 🍷
Hi Sandra, yes you are able to wash them after the mod podge has dried. There is also a dishwasher safe Mod podge that can be used as well.
Oh bonita quedo la copa mi color faborito gracias por su video
Gracias! Me alegra que te gusta el video 😊
I love it can you drink out the glass
Yes you definitely can drink from it. These were made as gifts for birthday events.
Now how do you make the cup washer safe I thought you add resin to make everything stay
The dishwasher safe Mod podge can be used. Just ensure it's properly cured before washing it.
Olá estou assistindo aqui do Brasil, se possível traz aqui no canal uma taça para festa de 18 anos masculino.
Beautiful work. How did you get the shape with the tape on the glass?
Hi Annisa, thanks for popping by and thanks for your comment. The shape I was able to achieve by putting the first end of the tape in a slant position then going higher on the glass and around. I can post another video showing how I achieved that design if you like.
Can these glasses be washed?
Hi Gladys, yes the glasses can be washed once you seal them.
Is it the mod podge that lets the glitter dry quickly?
Yes it's perfect for these projects
Have you tried brite tone by crystalac it’s A great alternative to epoxy
Hi Audrey, thanks for the suggestion... I haven't tried that one at all, I will definitely check it out. Thanks for sharing really appreciate that.
Can any glue use or it definitely has to be mod podge
Definitely Mod Podge
Can I use regular glue to apply my glitter
Hey Susan, the only problem i would have with that is it will be easy to remove when washed.
What are the tool to pick up the studs?
Hi Tanya, I use a wax pencil or a tweezer and these sometimes come in the package with the studs.
Won't past layereof glue dull the sparkle? I did it, it dulled the sparkle of mine
It dulls the sparkle a bit but it also prevents the glitter from coming off on everything.
Would 1 layer not be enough?
It would be pretty thin and spotty but it depends on the look you are going for as a finish.
Quando vc joga a porpurinas vc passa mais uma camada de cola para não ficar saindo na sua mão . Então não é necessário passar verniz
Yes no need to apply varnish the glue is used as a sealant
Beautiful!
Thanks Sandra

With lighter coats of glitter only means more applications but it should give you better results and coverage
@@craftbasicsjs to the touch yes it dries fast but wait at least an hour before applying another coat
Try to allow longer periods between applications.
@@craftbasicsjs thank you so much. I think this might be the problem too. I’m not allowing the glitter to really set into the glue. Which is probably why the glitter always looks clumpy
What's mudpodge
Hi Colette, Mod Podge is the glue used to bond the glitter to the wine glass so it doesn't come off.
