Stay safe the hurricane. Always think about people I know in Florida when a hurricane is a coming. Saying a special prayer for my childhood friend who lives in Fort Myers. She lost her husband of over 50 years last summer and just repaired her property from the last hurricane! Prayers!
I just love how other decorate for various holidays. I do a little decorating but , being retired, it is hard to afford much of the stuff needed to do a whole house. My DR buffet has a small shelf that's only 4" deep so I do put out somethings there for the holidays.They are mostly salt & pepper shakers as that's the size I need, & can find them in cute designs. Also my MIL had tablecloths for all seasons so I use them too. I have been married 40 years so I guess they are vintage now. I love to watch you do your decor & it always turns out so nice.

I’m in Tallahassee and it looks like this storm is headed our way. We survived Michael which was pretty devastating to the area we lived in then. Now we’re in Tallahassee. After feeling stressed while watching weather updates, it was nice to come on here and watch you decorate! It’s been so hot this summer! I’m longing for cooler temps. Here in the middle of Nebraska we are looking at temperatures over 100 for the Labor Day week-end. Too hot for me!! I love fall and can't wait to decorate for the season. All the stems that you purchased are so pretty. One fall I was out in Colorado and the Aspen were changing and they were gorgeous!! I purchased a couple of aspen leaf stems that I just love! They weren't cheap but I am so glad I have them to put out. A couple years ago I visited my sister in Boston in late September and went "leaf peeping". We visited 4 states in one day since they are so close to one another. If you ever get the chance you must go to the Northeast in the in the fall!! I am sure Ohio is pretty too with the autumn colors! Can't wait to see your fireplace makeover. No doubt it will be beautiful! Thank you for sharing your day!

Our AC died and is being replaced this week and then my daughter and I have to finish emptying our old shed and tearing it down and then building our new one soon before the weather changes. Then I want to clean (worst job I hate) the windows and blinds. I definitely have to clean the living room and bedrooms carpet. Then I can enjoy decorating. I know crazy but that's just me ha ha ha!! We had a summer for farmers. So many rainy days. It was not too often that we had to go out and water the garden. Often the rain was at night, too which gave us maybe grey days, but days we could be outside. And hot. But not nearly as hot as other places. We were 80s and 90s and never hit 100. In New England it is a time for going to the coast and fishing, clamming, swimming, boating. My husband has been doing a lot of boating and some quahogging and digging clams. Love the golds, deep maroons, mustard yellows of autumn with a hint of browns. I just redid our fall wreath and am holding off til labor day to start the switch which isn't much, but is a nice change. Love the mulled ciders and some other Fall beverages and foods. Enjoy the trips to Ohio. It's nice to have the change of scenery. Laughed when I saw Oaklynn pulling a Jackson in front of the camera.
I have incorporated copper, brass, and more texture in my home after watching your previous video's . Finding quality items at the thrift store in these categories can take a while, but it's honestly so much fun. Thank you .
I really like watching you move things around. I would have chosen differently than your final choices but that's what is fun about seeing the different options. Everyone has different tastes in decorating and that's perfectly OK.
You know, your decorating is so calming and peaceful. That's one thing I like abt the Amish/Mennonites. Not over clutzed up and cluttered. Love Crate and Barrel, too, but only buy when they have sales. Beautiful things, though. Hope you're all OK with this storm coming in. Prayers 🙏🙏

I love redecorating my home which I do four times a year. It’s fun to pull out the decorations and then buy a few new things each season. Like you I love to put things in different places and change the look of each room.
Your house décor is so very similar to mine. We just moved into a custom built home and I did off white and black in kitchen with same counters. My backsplash is different but opted for no open shelving due to the grease and dirt in a kitchen….keep it clean and modern as I like to cook and bake and couldn’t deal with all the fluff

One year without money to buy I went outside and cut weeds that had already dried. I stuck them in a wicker basket and stuck it inside my no longer used fireplace. It was beautiful, all different shades of browns and rust.

I'm hoping the weather will be nice in Gatlinburg next week where we will be for our oldest grandsons wedding!!
