But the workmanship on the second knife is incredibly shoddy, and that’s the real give-away, I think. I wonder: is the ferrule under the locking collar stamped? And what wood species is the handle made of? Those little additional details might also be indicative of fakery. Also, a quick note to all those who say no one would fake such an inexpensive knife: Opinel’s own website actually mentions two instances of intellectual property right infringement that they prosecuted, one of which involved a large shipment of knives that someone attempted to import into Italy from China.

It was worth checking the story when recording this movie. Opinel had a problem with exemplifiers that did not pass the quality control (Blade play in this one). The company that was supposed to recycle gave somewhere to that. And instead of being recycled they hit the market. All story, propobly this is real opinel new type from times setting machines. Not a fake but an illegal sale. In this situation there are no differences, there is only buyer fraud. You search the film for the differences between the 2 types of opinel. If you found an actual fake, as you say, and not a stolen waste, the comparison would only give a new type of original knife (currently sold) then you would be able to see real differences or the lack of them.

Salut, eu nu cred ca este un fake.Eu cumpar lunar vreo 5-6 si le modific in sensul ca le fac minere de corn de cerb dar inca nu am intilnit unu care sa fie fost fals mai ales ca are acel logo de Opinel pe lama.Tot ce am gasit pina acum si ce seamana cu Opinel este ceva asemanator,este facut in Spania si se numeste Extrema sau Joker dar la acelea acel virobloc care care stabilizeaza lama seamana cu acela al tau care zici ca este fake,compara acel virobloc. Poate eu inca nu am intilnit asa ceva ca traiesc in Bavaria.
Salut! Este cumparat din China si este fake 100%. Am dat 15lei pe el doar din curiozitate pt ca am vrut sa ma conving. Daca cineva este dispus sa plateasca 15lei +12lei ( transportul prin posta) il trimit sa se convinga.

Am cumpărat dintr-un târg din București un opinel 8 carbon cu 20 de lei.Am ajuns acasă și am înfipt lama într-un mar care am tinut-o toată ziua,neoxidand deloc.Asa mi-am dat seama că e fake.Un opinel adevărat ,nu are cum sa nu-i oxideze lama carbon daca e băgată într-un fruct,oțet,mustar etc.
Depinde la ce il folositi. Daca taiati alimente inox, cel din carbon oxideaza. Daca il folositi la gradina / bushcraft cel din carbon se ascute si isi tine taisul mai bine.
Sunt foarte dezamăgit, mai ales ca site-ul de pe care am cumpărat m-a tot asigurat ca e original. A venit fără ambalaj, taie binișor dar nu barbereste și seamănă mult cu cel din videoclip. Cel fake, normal

Nu este fake! Pe piata sunt mai multe variante originale. Depinde in ce an a fost fabricat, depinde din ce colectie face parte.

Daca nu are ambalaj nu inseamna ca este fake. La cel fake lama nu sta bine blocata, are un joc mare.
Marea majoritate a cutitelor Opinel nu au ambalaj. Magazinele de specialitate care au produse de camping sigur au produse Opinel originale.
Fake = contrafăcut. Prima lecție de limba română este gratuită. Cu plăcere.
