wunderbar, when i was in milana and verona in 1986 i thought the same thing, everyone is so well dressed and posh, back in munich it was like the barbarians and a lot less people on the streets. and roma were even better at shopping back then. it all goes back to mary pickford and douglas fairbanks in 1920. italian cuisine and fashion.
