I mostly work with samples and I literally just wanted an easy solution that had a bunch of nostalgic sounds in it that I could use to fill out my songs - this is fantastic! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the way of expansions.
Demos made by the boss himself, this is absolutely great, love the Castlevania one and Transylvania Intro! I really want to hear more tracks made by the community, we can do absolute banger musics with this VST!! Also, quick question, do you already know what you are going to do for the future extensions? I would personally really enjoy to have some samples that sounds like what we can hear in Valkyrie Profile, Star Ocean 2 or Tales of Destiny, that would be my ultimate dream haha. I would also love some Crash Bandicoot-like samples too (it looks like I'm making my shopping list lol). Anyway, keep up the good work, I will follow this very closely :)
Thank you very much! I have plans to do a community showcase in the future! As for future expansions, there is no shortage of content for me to draw inspiration from haha, so it could really be anything. All of the games you mentioned are ones I'd love to release expansions inspired by. Right now I'm finishing up one inspired by Tomba, and then the next one will most likely be based on Parasite Eve. Beyond that, I haven't decided 100% what I'll do. Thanks again for your support, it means a lot!
Thank you! I don't have any immediate plans for a soundfont, but it would certainly be doable. Definitely something to think about. Do you think people would buy it?
@ I think there’s still some RPG Maker midis from way back that could be given new life. Granted I’m not familiar with the music making process, but I was curious and fascinated. The old game music just has a certain charm to it.
@@titanmoruma5834 Unfortunately the program I used to make this doesn't have official Linux support. However, there are options. Some Linx-based daws support VST2 and there is a VST2 version. Otherwise, you can use something like Carla to load a vst on Linux.
imagine he takes it a step up and adds controller support, so that you can hit the buttons and the function is executed. For example pressing L1 or R1 makes you browse patches. If you rotate your analog sticks the Depth or Rate of LFO will be in or decreased. That would be pretty solid.
It's mainly focused on PSX, N64 and Sega Saturn in terms of the general "vibe" of the sounds. I would love to do 16bit stuff! I have a million and one ideas but it can be challenging with limited time haha. There are already so many fantastic soundtracks on the three platforms that I mentioned - all of which I'd love to make reminiscent expansions of. I started work on an SNES inspired GM library but it's on the backburner for the moment while I chip away at some more content for GuyEngine.

Such a sick plugin. Thanks for the awesome sounds and at such a good price!
Thank you!
This might just be the only VST that I’ll ever need
Haha that's very kind of you to say!

Really enjoy the nostalgic vibes. Wonder if you’ll consider a soundfont at some point for use with midis.

Haha that would be extremely cool.
@@SoundFontGuy I mean it's codeable 🤔
Where can I find the songs you made as a download
Oh they're not really uploaded anywhere... But that's very flattering!
@@SoundFontGuy so could you do that pleaseee
Can’t wait to take it for a spin! I take it this plugin is PSX focused? Any plans for 8 and 16 bit sound chips in the future?
