Why would Nolan Richardson, in is Hall of Fame induction speech tell a Larry Bird story - he never coached Bird or coached against Bird but you recognize greatness when you see it. All these great NBA players have these stories about what is was like to play against Bird. Did you hear what Charles Barkley said? In the middle of a game while taking a shot Bird yelled at Robert Parish for not being in the right place, who does that in the middle of a shot? Bird is just different than anyone else.
