I'll never grow tired of the Tale of Three Hammers told by Lorewalker Cho. I've heard it a million times and I'm sure I'll hear it a million more, but never shall I not join in with telling the tale.
Magni here - Even my own Mammy couldn't tell it was me in this video today, figure that means I did a no bad job! Thank you again Nobbel, it was a pleasure :)
That sounds cool. The dungeon of Desolace would be an interesting one to cover. In recent times I learned about the origins of all the major races of Warcraft. Centaurs stand out as the race with the strangest origin. I was dumbfounded as to how these guys could ever come to exist. Desolace is the main homeland of the centaurs, and that seems to be the biggest part of the zone's lore. The local dungeon is tied into this lore. I don't know whether Nobbel87 covered this yet. It would be interesting to see this in a video. Centaurs are a trip.
I still think it's odd that they've waited this long to add the Dark Iron as a playable race in WoW, though I'd have gone the route of just making them a skin tone for the Dwarf race in general since it just doesn't make sense to add a "new" race to the Alliance that has been apart of it since Cataclysm but I suppose not all of the Dark Irons support Moira as their leader. What causes them to realign their allegiances though? We can only wait and see.
awesome as always nobbel, I don't know if I'm the only one but i really hope to see more father-daughter relationchip in bfa between moire and magni , i really liked that moment in the comic
Love this video, I love the lore behind the dwarfs. I only started to play one because of their racial was good for tanking, but once I started watching your videos about the lore and backstory now all I want is to have all my toons Dwarfs.
Although being a Horde and Forsaken through and through, I have soft spot for dwarves. One of the reasons why I eventually tried to play for Alliance. I guess it goes with me since Warcraft III, I loved the dwarves there and their quotes. :D Thanks for the Moira video, Nobbel!
The Dark Iron dwarves have pretty much split into 3 factions: Moira's people are with the Alliance now, the Thorium Brotherhood remain neutral and the rest joined the Twilight's Hammer. Which faction the playable Dark Irons used to be part of, we don't know yet. My guess is Moira is going to convince the remaining factions to join her team, or Blizzard will introduce us to a completely new faction. The latter would be more likely, if the unlock requirements will be similar to the other allied races.
I agree although two or three Thorium Brotherhood dwarves fought with the Alliance during the WOD campaign. Also there is Mountain-Lord Rendan in Searing Gorge who's people are neutral.
The Dark Irons in Blackrock have got nothing' on me. Neither do those boys up at Thorium Point. I'm independent as can be, and that's the way I like it. Of course, for the right price, I'd listen to either side... - Mountain-Lord Rendan
Oh yes, I forgot about Mountain- Lord Rendan. Although we did manage to get his aid in the Searing Gorge questline, he really isn't part of any faction.
I'm very interested to see what the future holds for Fenran. He very well may become one of the most consequential Dwarves in Warcraft's history. Hopefully Blizzard will take the time to flush out his story as time passes.
Seeing Nobbel does a Lore video on Moira after a week of bad and foul work and mood... *METAMORPHING TIME.* *turns from worm into a beautiful, lava controling dwarf butterfly*
Hmm so the dark irons are the better of the three and for good reason, now I’m interested in what’s to come in BFA. Also I love the animation and transitions, good job nobble!
Thanks for the reply! Do we know if they were first created by the curse of flesh? I know they were experimented on by Mimiron but do we know about where they came from before that?
I think all of the stories and lore are fantastic. WoW has great endgame content supported by well written characters and backstories, it seems as if they're getting better as they go. I'm very familiar with Starcraft lore which I think has been great, for the most part, and I don't know very much about Diablo as I started with 3 and have only dabbled. How about you?
So you all know miners have to smelt dark iron inside of blackrock depths. Well since we are getting dark iron dwarves do you happen to think they'll have a racial passive to smelt dark iron? That would be really cool.
I would love to see you make a video using the animated "Fault Lines" comic with your friends who voice acted the clips in this video. They made an already very moving story even better.
A battle for hyjal type of raid around the battle of 3 hammers would be dope af. However, i'm probably only hyped for such a thing because Ragnaros is my all time favourite raid boss :s.
As we're getting closer to the Call of the Scarab Micro-Holiday in Silithus, I wonder if you'd like to take another look at the story behind Ahn' Qiraj, including its opening quest chain in one of your videos?
nobble I think that Moria's son birth right will bring the Dark Iron Dwarves and join the allaince. now as far for the Zandalari I'm not sure how they end up with my Hordes . cant wait too your next video.
Female dwarves are so rare and unusual in fantasy. It is refreshing to see hem so abundant in Warcraft. They are even playable. It is cool that there is one in the lore, Moira. The sexism is very much addressed in the story. Moira is a lot like Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones. Both are queens from a rocky place, with intense sexism. It is tough to be there especially as a woman. So one rises up using cunning, trickery and munipulation. This deceit is easy to justify, if one thinks of it as a way to level the playing field. The rabbits of Watership Down are cunning as well. They explain how this works. Rabbits don't have much in the way of brute strength or deadly weapons to fight against other animals. So they rely on their speed and cunning to keep them from being caught. A caught rabbit gets killed and eaten, so that is something that should be avoided. Moira does have a strange story. She has a severe case of Stolkholm Syndrome. It is bizarre. If I were her dad, I would think she was literally under a magic enchantment too. Even if the Dark Iron leader was nice, it is hard to buy. It doesn't take much kindness to win over some prisoners. Simply neglecting to do hurtful actions can be percieved as a kindness. I can't tell whether Moira's love is genuine or if it is due to a survival instinct. Moira is a cunning dwarf woman. She could totally feign love to keep herself alive. Given that she had a child, I wonder if the Dark Iron leader forced himself on her. That is a really disturbing idea. It is not something I would like to dwell upon. It is amusing that the three dwarf clans get a reference with the triforce jewles in Zelda Ocarina of Time. I would make my associations different. The Bronzebeard Dwarves should get the triforce of wisdom. They live in the icy snowy zone of Dun Morogh. The Wildhammer Dwarves should get the triforce of courage. They live in the green lush zones of Hinterlands and Wetlands. The Dark Iron Dwarves should get the triforce of power. They live in the fiery volcanic zones of Searing Gorge and Burning Stepps. The Dark Iron Dwarves are like Ganon in that they have an afinity for the power triforce, and that they are the bad guys.
Oh... I thought the person doing Moira's voice was someone hired by Blizzard... er... that's impressive! Also it's funny I knew all of this but I still enjoyed the hell out of the video. I
Hmm, you know, I just noticed but during the cinematic after anduin says his part and we see sylvanas, it looks as though she smirks for a second. Just noticed that since you put the cinematic at the end.
So... was she originally captured and held against her will or not? I get that she eventually fell in love due to being shown respect but it seems like a pretty important point whether she was the informant and was willingly seeking them out (as well as the cause of all the deaths of her war party) or captured against her will initially.
Idk if you'd want to hear of a request from a fan for a lore video and I know you're probably loaded with work lately so please don't think that I'm shouting do this. I've been reading up on High General Abbendis's Diary thanks to the questline in Dragonblight and I'd like to hear the story of the Scarlet Crusade. Did you ever plan on doing such? I'm interested on hearing the entirety of one of the biggest zealot groups in all of Azeroth, even if it's off the topic of Legion.
So, I am leveling a Dark Iron currently, and I am in Searing Gorge killing my own people. Are they though? And what about the ones in Loch Modan and Wetlands? I know my character is loyal to Moira, but are those not? Also, what about the Thorium Brotherhood? Do they realize that Moira and others are not under Rag's control and are now apart of the Alliance? Help @Nobbel87
So question not about the Dark Iron but the Zandalari . If the Horde become alliances with Zandalari , How would that effect Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub . If you listen in Zul'Aman the Amani tribe pledge their allegiance to the Zandalari . Would that mean the Horde would not be attacked or would it mean that these Dungeons would just be trolls that didn't agree to become allies with the Horde. Now that I think of it , If we choose to make a Dark Iron what would happen to Blackrock Depths. Yes I know I forgot to put question marks but that key is broke lol.
lol the fact checker is the little dude next to Falstad in Ironforge. He’s a shout-out to Ian ‘Red Shirt Guy’ Bates, who pointed out that Falstad not Kurdran was supposed to be the leader of the wildhammers according to the LORE/Books
Is there any information on how the Dark Iron see Moira? Because she isn't really a true Dark Iron dwarf in blood and appearance, I'd assume some may challenge her rule even if she was married to Dagran? How well did they regard her?
Maybe not a true D.I.D. but still the mother of their future leader. So I would say they accept it. To make a blunt comparison, if our king dies (the Dutch king) we wouldnt send his original Argentinian wife (or our queen) back there. We would let her stay queen until the next in line is ready for the throne
Nobbel also mentioned that after their original leader died they heartedly accepted Moira as their new one, so I would say that her people do see her as their ruler
yea OverWatch is life. starcraft and Diablo have not had much love put into them in a long time but there fun as hell. [ I LOVE ME SOME HEROS OF THE STORM i just never have anyone to play with ] hearthstone is okay but no 1/2 it feels supper pay to win. i mean thats fine but it kinda feels bad when you know people are out there putting hundreds into a game you put nothing into but your time.
I feel ya. Starcraft 2 wasn't a bad game. I really like playing through the campaign I just really didn't like the story. I love me some RTS. I really enjoyed playing through the storyline of Diablo 3 as well even though I found the story to be confusing but I guess it's been so long since I've played Diablo 2 I wasn't really familiar with the world. yeah Diablo was awesome especially playing it with my brother but after you beat the campaign there is nothing to do but beat the campaign again also the fact that the game looks the exact same on PlayStation 3 as it does on my computer seems a little silly to me considering the PlayStation 3 is a potato and my computer's could run circles around the PlayStation 4. Thrall: "So, let me get this straight. You soloed Onyxia?"
Varian: "Yeah."
Thrall: "And you infiltrated Ironforge?"
Varian: "Uh huh."
Thrall: "And you killed a Fel Reaver on the Broken Shore?"
Varian: "Yup."
Thrall: "But you would need a raid group for all of that! How did you-"
Varian: "BECAUSE I'M VARIAN!!!!"
Pravication Pretty sure he’s Batman...
True. My king is was true king!
BECAUSE I'M BATMAN!!!!
All that and he got killed by two random felguard.
The fuck?
varian= 3 thrall= 0
In Cata and MoP the Dwarves got more development and actual character growth than most of the Alliance races received throughout WoW.....
@Elmo Thammorongsa totally not a scam
not going to lie, but when Magni told Moira he was proud of her.
that brought a tear to my face, my FEEEELS!
gekkokkid I thought that was really touching as well. I may have cried a little...
lol at Varian ''Batman'' Wrynn
I'll never grow tired of the Tale of Three Hammers told by Lorewalker Cho. I've heard it a million times and I'm sure I'll hear it a million more, but never shall I not join in with telling the tale.
Magni here - Even my own Mammy couldn't tell it was me in this video today, figure that means I did a no bad job!
Thank you again Nobbel, it was a pleasure :)
True warrior.
11:58 BECAUSE I'M BATMAN!
I like how they give Magni a coat before he leaves form Ironforge like that's gonna do anything. He probably doesn't feel any cold to begin with.
dwarfs not hot
Thanks for always satisfying us with the great content ❤️
The voice of wow :). An Sham is amazing maybe you two can do more in the future. All the best Nobbel
What an awesome story!
Love the amount of char development she goes through
Whaaat! I asked you not long ago if you had plans to make a Moira video and now you upload one! :O Thank you!
Nobbel, I would love to see the backstory of old classic dungions. 1-60 lvl such as the stocades, scarlet monastery, uldaman and so on and so forth
That sounds cool. The dungeon of Desolace would be an interesting one to cover. In recent times I learned about the origins of all the major races of Warcraft. Great video. Thanks for making it. I like this video the most amongst the dwarf related videos you've made.
Always like before watching your video
same, they are always good
Aww thank you!
Nothing to thank for, you are doing a great job!
Nobbel's Lore videos are the only reason I bother getting out of bed Monday morning!

Sooooo many GREAT COT Dungeon/Raid ideas just in the first few minutes of the video!
what a great summary Nobbel! Blizz needs to hire you as their historian!
awesome as always nobbel,
I don't know if I'm the only one but i really hope to see more father-daughter relationchip in bfa between moire and magni , i really liked that moment in the comic
Garrosh:- *"Times Change"*
Moira's son:- not for me the eternal baby!
Welp, he’s an adult now, as of my comment.
@@beastmaster0934 only after garrosh seized to exist
That was some pretty impressive voice acting. Nice!

ha Sure, played Diablo II, Starcraft I and II, playing Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm. Why?
Goddamn I miss those MoP scenarios

He would need to marry a Wildhammer, otherwise no Wildhammer will hold a ruling position in the city anymore which could cause problems.
love u nobbel
Nobblel is like Santa. :) I always expect something great from him lol.
Love the dwarf lore. Thanks man always such good videos.
I thought I might literally die if I didn't some nobbel lore , so YAY I am saved. Love you.
Still Top Notch Lore Videos man :) keep up the good work

6:48 "some sort of powerful **** altering spell"
Marcus would be proud!
Please do Story of Scarlet Crusade
Awesome learned more lore thanks to you nobbel
Would be interesting if Moira's son went all crazy tyrannical and stuff and ended up kinda being like Emperor Nero...
Moira is one of my favourite characters, yet so underrated.
The gems from OOT was a nice touch
Neat. I had no idea that they wrote in a reason for Kurdran's exit.
Moira & Sylvanas are kindred spirits. They fight tooth and nail for their people.
this didn’t age well
Hey Nobbel, have you thought about doing a "History of the Goblins" video/series?
Great work on this btw!
Very soon tm! although there isn't that much history to work with
Thanks for the reply! Do we know if they were first created by the curse of flesh? I know they were experimented on by Mimiron but do we know about where they came from before that?
Nope that's all we really have on them
Crossing my fingers the new Chronicles has something for us!

Now i NEED a Zandalari video.....ZANDALAR SHALL NEVER FALL....FOR KING RASHTAKAN
10:09
That was the one mistake Moira made, getting between Varian, and his family (that being his son).
For that, she incurred the wrath of Lo’gosh.
Yo that Magni voice was awesome!
Cheers
I wonder if she will get a model update like the other leaders.
0:10 Funny that the Kul Tirans actually joined along the Zandalari Trolls, and the Dark Irons joined alongside the Mag'har Orcs.
10:19 the old models look so derp i love it
what if the dark irons will be us liberating dark irons still enslaved in blackrock to have them join the alliance? that would be a cool starting area
I would love to see you make a video using the animated "Fault Lines" comic with your friends who voice acted the clips in this video. They made an already very moving story even better.

There's the visual of Varian-Moira moment in Anduin's Legion comic.
As we're getting closer to the Call of the Scarab Micro-Holiday in Silithus, I wonder if you'd like to take another look at the story behind Ahn' Qiraj, including its opening quest chain in one of your videos?
9:00 Confirmed, somewhere there exists pictures of Nobbel in a golden bikini.
REPLY
CoT confirmed? Always loved how it filled the gaps for WC3.
I love Moira's voice! I don't know if she is actually scottish, but her accent is amazing! To my ears anyway. I wish I could speak like that lol
It's nice that there is voice-acting Nobbel. But it feels really weird when its not their actual voice actors. xD
I' so excited for this Moira Bronzebeard is my favorite WOW character :')
nobble I think that Moria's son birth right will bring the Dark Iron Dwarves and join the allaince. now as far for the Zandalari I'm not sure how they end up with my Hordes . cant wait too your next video.
He's like 4 years old though.
Allycat101010. Bloodline my friend
Awsome summary
Varian was so cool, would love to see a mak'gora between him and Grommash even if that does make not sense at all lol
I actually thought those had been officially voice acted by Blizzard. Holy crap, very well done guys.
That was very interesting but it makes me think.. why does moiras voice actor sound so much like the voice actor for the Queen of Skellige in Gwent?
Moira was always quite an interesting character.
Nobbel, could you maybe make a lore video on high overlord Varok Saurfang?
Oh... I thought the person doing Moira's voice was someone hired by Blizzard... er... that's impressive!
Also it's funny I knew all of this but I still enjoyed the hell out of the video. I
I wanted to play as dark iron dwarf since vanilla and in BFA I finally can
Awesome job!
Your videos calm my anxiety and help with my depression. Thank you so much for making these videos!
Ooohhh this about to get an *UPDATE
Legit thought that this was Moira from Overwatch.
My Dumbass...
haHAA Overwatch BTW
Skellybur Columbus dont insult Moira Thaurissan with that copy of David bowie from Overtwat
you forget that this is a world of warcraft channel afterall
Lol you do realize she has a skin specifically inspired by David Bowie right?
"overtwat"
I see what you lack in taste you do not make up for with creativity.
ZANDALARI WILL UNITE ALL TROLL TRIBES FOR THE HORDE!!!!!!
Pls Blizzard I want to play Amani Troil Zul'jin is my favourite character in Warcraft
"Time passed on, ragnaros was defeated" *boop* ded.
That was actually pretty incredible voice acting. Thought it was original, til you mentioned.
YAAAAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS

Wow Nobbel you used the gems from Ocarina of Time in the video
I liked Dwarves in D&D but I can't get into their race in WoW. They do have a good story
would be fun if moira's son marries a wildhammer daughter
6:50 *some sort of powerful fuck altering spell*

Heeeey... the graphic novel type art presented here... where is that from?
This has me pumped! lol
Is it just me or does lorewalker cho sound like hondo Onaka from star wars?
Do NOT Insult My KNAIFU!
AMAZING.
I love wow lore and I love Nobbel's story telling ability
sure. i love me some blizzard games. I have played most all of them.
