Just got the utility gun thanks to your guides. You've done a crazy amount of work for the community . Thanks for all the effort you've put into this game and Alyx.
Thank you for taking the time to replay through the entire game (as well as doing all the editing, voicing, and anything else) to show how to get all the collectibles. These videos are so useful. Now let's just hope they don't change the location of a bunch of collectibles again.
Dude you deserve about 300% more subscribers, I’ve been subbed since I got the game but didn’t realize you had less than 5k. Def sending your guides to everyone I introduce to or plays boneworks.
If you have to do the museum again then use one of the blue trash cans to haul everything to the rec bin because walking back and forth probably gets old.
The very first time I played this game, I got the baseball in the gift box... also the way I got the turret npc, was shooting that first crate, the the thing just spun by itself until the boneworks crate fell out
8:38 If you start at the ground, directly under the pipe you use to climb onto the ledge, you can actually climb the wall all the way to the top in a straight line. It's like an invisible shortcut.
Yes, whenever you complete a level, that progress is saved and returning to a previous level using level select does not lose your current, furthest progress. You can also go back to the earlier levels and try to improve your ammo count. Your best ammo score for a previous level will be added to your current progress. See my ammo guide for more details.
I'm like 7 months late... but I wanted to mention that David's Baseball can be found at the playground in Streets, or at least I remember seeing it there before.
While this is true, that version cannot be claimed (as of patch 1.4 that was true, I have not tried in 1.5 but I have not heard of anyone successfully claiming it anywhere but the box in museum).
Edit: Oh, I remember this now... the baseball is there on Streets but it is not Reclaimable. I believe only the one in the Gift Shop in Museum is able to be Reclaimed.
@@GreasedScotsmanhow do you reclaim from the gift shop? (is that holding the door open thing intended because I don't know of another way to reclaim things later in the level?)
I dont get it... where do you archive stuff? I ran out of space. Where are the archivers??? Am I missing something obvious? The save item pad just seems to save progress.
The Reclamation Bins (blue cylindrical stations that hum and zap away claimable objects you place into them) are found at various locations around each level. There's almost always one at the end and sometimes one or more partially through the level.
@@GreasedScotsman Thanks, I did eventually find one before the train station. I was hauling all my collected stuff in a trash can and that just didn't feel correct. Felt like I was playing the game wrong. Is there not an easier way to haul lots of stuff like a backpack lol...
@@atomiklanI did that too lmao, there is no "wrong" way to play the game as the developers want to encourage creativity. There is no "cheating" in this game either.
Follow the part that says Blankbox Sandbox Module Access. I show how you need to reclaim all items in Breakroom and complete the level. Museum has a check to see what you reclaimed in Breakroom. If you saved all 3, the door can open. Note that you shouldn't Nimbus through any part of the Museum Level or you might skip the trigger that checks your Breakroom activity.
I really need help getting the hands that stick if there’s any way of easily getting them ps I have a easy way to unlock the dev minipulator and the new hover junkers level without even getting the balls if someone would need help with those two I would be happy to help
There's a bug where when you open up a crate or box, there is a rare chance it will despawn instantly. It happened to me when I opened an ammo box and I saw no ammo there and my ammo quantity didn't change
yeah happened to me on streets its sucks when it does i think it happens when its next to a wall or terrain or something like that and clips through. Not sure though
Theres a little reset thing lever on top of the update screen on the main menu level. One of the three big tv lookin things its to one on the left. You can climb to it or jump up there.
Back up your save first. In my case, I backed up my save, then started a new game so I'd have all clean, zero values. Then copied the files from my backed up save that tracked level progress and ammo back into the new game data I just created. The savegame data is found here: \Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\Stress Level Zero\Boneworks. I recommend backing up the whole Boneworks folder. Collectibles are tracked in resources1.dat. They use obfuscated unique IDs rather than human-readable names. The value next to each one appears to be how many times you've reclaimed that item. Ammo is tracked in additional_resources1.dat. There's Light, Medium and Heavy (heavy doesn't exist in-game (yet)). Arena progress (easy/med/hard) is stored in bw1_ArenaPlayer_01.dat. Player info (movement config, height, etc.) is found in bw1_pInfo_00.dat. The extraResources1.dat appears to hold the list of levels you've completed and how many times you've completed them.
If I have to reload one more goddamn time to get david's baseball then I probably will do that and just continue to enjoy the game. I must have tried at least ten times by now though.
Did you Archive all 3 items in Breakroom, complete the level, then walk, do NOT use the Nimbus (if you have it) to the Archival Room (you might fly past the trigger that unlocks the door). You should see all 3 items in the display case. If not, replay Breakroom. If so, the Archival door should open.
Hard to help without knowing what you are missing. That said, I show a before and after shot at the start and end of each video (see timestamps), so you could quickly check those to spot what you are missing and then just check the list of items (see timestamps) for that video. If it's guns, it's almost always the Naked M16 found in a locker in the Central Station purple key room. People miss that one a lot due to how dark it is in that room.
The Reclamation Bins allow you to get items in the Sandbox levels, but if you are also able to reclaim the Utility Gun (Time Tower, etc.), you can use the items you've reclaimed in the Story Mode levels, too.
@@GreasedScotsman okay that sounds cool thanks, but after you put an item in the bin how do you get it back out for use story mode? I've only just passed the streets level so I don't even know if I made it that far yet.
You missed the Uzi being on Streets. I figured you didn't just grab the guns in museum to show where they are in game, but I think that Uzi is fair game. Behind the Melons

There is one right near the end of the level after you get trolley-catapulted across the gap... It's down below near some rail cars
