Purchased a Precision fit model # 80201 for a Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag shotgun. Had gotten in a rush and was impatient, due to having gone thru hurricane Helene. Ground the round loop portion off the recoil pad, and then was quite surprised that lo and behold, the screw holes also didn't line up. Instead of taking whatever time the video took to watch, it's been a couple of days now and I wanted to test fire the rifle, since it was purchased for primarily home defense. I'm recovering from stress related to post Helene damage.Town, experienced lootings of approximately 3-5 stores, and 3 pharmacies. Another incident involved linemen working to restore power lines being shot at. Another group of linemen, were robbed at gunpoint, in another town. Three pharmacies,in our town, were burgled of all narcotics. A local pawn shop was burgled. Fortunately , their guns are locked up, in an extremely secure gun safe every night. Rumors of one home invasion are circulating. My son in law, intervened in one incident of 2 individuals starting to siphon gas out of my daughters car. To add...linemen restoring power, camping up the hill from my house, stopped an attempted group of individuals starting to siphon gas from their vehicles, and steal tools. When I was younger, successfully stopped, a prowler being chased down the road, by a neighbor. Weapon of choice, was a 12 Ga pump shotgun. in this incident, the sound of the pump,cocking, immediately took the chase out of the prowler. Didn't have to discharge it. He stopped, put his hands on the back of his head, and then my neighbor, secured his wrists with a large tie wrap. Had to share this. Have been, in a rather heightened sense of urgency, to get the rifle completed. Guess I, more or less, neglected to check whether the PRECISION FIT recoil pad lined up with the stock. Didn't relate this, to the customer service women that answered, just one of my emails, and asked that I provide the measurements of the stock. measurements, which were included in my first email.
I just finished installing the precision fit recoil pad on my Mossberg Maverick 88 shotgun, it went on easily and is a perfect fit!!! I'm not sure why others on here are having issues but as for me....I love this product!!!
I have a Remington Model Seven that came with a LimbSaver recoil pad and it recently stuck to my carpet while standing behind a door. Apparently, this was a problem for several years from 2005 to 2009 or so. Remington is sending me a new pad, but beware as this makes a real mess in your carpet as the sticky goo from the pad is really hard to get out of carpet.
I been trying to find one for my Mossberg Maverick 88 Security and can't. I can't find one where the hole line up right. Your website is complicated. Only one that comes close is 10823 as far as the hole lining up. Help!!!
Having just gotten off the phone with customer service, I now find out that this isn't a precision fit as it pertains to the screw holes. It's more of a general fit, in that it generally doesn't fit the Ruger M77. Now I have to decide, drill 2 more holes into the pad, drill into my stock or return it and buy a pad from another company.
Hi J Coll, sorry you are having trouble with the fitment of our recoil pad to your stocks. We try to be as exact as possible, but unfortunately, there are so many variations of stocks out there that it's hard to produce recoil pads to fit them all. The M77 stocks are a classic example, as their wood stocks can vary in size and shape and depending on the year and model, can require custom gunsmithing. If you are having issues with a composite stock, please let us know and we will look into the issue further. If you are still looking to have a recoil pads put on, we do offer custom-fit recoil pads that look factory and work great. Used 3 1\2 shells with one of your pads, definitely helps when you shoot through a box of 100 shells

that's known issue from those squishy pads so i wouldn't recommends leaving it on your carpet or safe fabric as it can melt bonded with it
