1. I'm very glad you are still cancer free!
2. Tooth issues can compromise the immune system. Maybe that's the source?
3. Studies are limited, but sobfar confirm that getting Covid can supercharge cancer cells in the body.
My mom is starting chemo again tomorrow after a 6 month break. Though I live 600km away, I visit often. Therefore, I will start wearing FFP2 again. I'd never visit with symptoms, but the incubation period is what it is and I don't want to live with being the idiot who infected my mom.
4. If you do get Covid, ask your doc about taking Paxlovid asap.
5. You deserve to have cats in your life again.

When my wonderful ginger boy Philip died in 2019, I said “no more cats.” Three months later I found a starving, filthy kitten in our parking area. I took her in and adopted another foundling this spring. I hope you find a cat who needs you and yodeling lessons.
I was not going to get another cat after my Princess passed at 19. My landlord found a kitten who needed a home. Could not say no. I think Princess sent her to me.😊❤🐱
HAHAHAHA A cat who NEEDS yodeling lessons!!! Never been able to get any who live here to yodel, maybe they need to go to Klusman Kitty Kamp so they can learn! 😹

Wearing a mask wouldn't bother me. I kept mine on longer than most people. Didn't get vax, not because of being anti but rather the medical issues associated with them. I managed to get through almost 2 years (retired so I don't go out much!), But due to foot injury, went for x-ray and doc, was sick the next day! Hopefully that keeps me immune...
Good to hear from you again. I can relate to the dental woes... Not only cavities, but having the rest of the tooth break off and loss of my original implant from like 20+ years ago! Picked up another dental plan but it won't cover all that needs to be done.
Wish I could help with $, but my dental and especially Belle's I131 thyroid treatment, plus a couple more kitty dentals TBD, ugh! Agreed, better cavities or even tooth loss than cancer!!!
Being concerned about the medical issues associated with them makes you anti-vax by modern media standards lol. But yeah I have the same reasoning

In the past I haven't rejected vaccines and had my kids vaccinated. I have very strange, severe and strong allergies, not your typical sneezy stuffy nose variety, and the cats here don't know yet how to dial 911. They only keep you an extra 15 minutes. One bee sting I had resulted in a serious case of hives TWO WEEKS after the sting (large welt remained on my leg all that time!) Testing indicated all bees except honeybees, esp a white faced hornet - I told the doc I don't stick around long enough to see what color the face is! Rx for Epi-pen
I had hopes for the J&J, but that had issues with platelets, which is also a huge concern for me. My concerns are my personal health issues, not some random media scare. For instance, Heparin has been in use for a long long LONG time. It caused my platelets to increase astronomically, rather than reduce them, to the point where I ended up with a hematoma... that's when they stopped the Heparin shots. Typically Heparin would REDUCE platelets, with the worst issue being chance of bleeding. Even the hematologist was baffled and came to talk to me in my hospital room! My platelets were fine on intake, but shot sky high while being "treated," Given I was on a PICC line, not allowed to eat or drink anything, the only stuff going into me was stuff THEY were giving me - you're the hematologist, YOU figure it out!
@micky, please rethink your stance on the COVID vaccine. You're putting people like Paul and me -- I have pancreatic cancer and am scheduled for surgery in early October -- at risk, and for no good reason. The vaccine is safe.
Unless you completely isolate yourself from others, you are a vector -- a potential spreader of the disease. And COVID isn't just a respiratory virusl It unleashes massive inflammation throughout the body, leading to long-term and sometimes permanent cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological problems for those who have had it, even those who've had a mild case and even those who were in otherwise good health.
In short, you're being, to be blunt, a lousy citizen and a lousy neighbor. If you care enough about Paul to watch these vids, then care enough about him (and me and millions like us) to NOT expose us to this disease. Please give enough of a hoot about every single person in this country to NOT expose them to the possibility of long-COVID and the probability of long-terms health problems. Thanks.
Yea! So glad to hear the pet scans continue to be good! The urns are lovely. I understand about being immune conpromised ... I am on medication that reduces my immune system a little and the majority of time, people have been amazing (some are jerks) about keeping their distance, etc. Cavities ... I hear ya, I have a love/hate relationship with my teeth. When I was in a similar situation, a dentist told me that if I kept my mouth super clean, the cavity might not get much worse. I tried my best ... I don't know if it got worse or not. After you get them fixed ... a friend of mine had a sealant or something put on her teeth to reduce the chances of getting cavities in the future and it seemed to work pretty well. Perhaps this might be an option to talk to your dentist about?
Thanks for the update. Hope your song gets picked up! Haven't asked you yet, but I've been wondering if you were able to keep flying at all during all you've been through. I still hope to make it back to Stearman Field in the RV-8; possibly this year. I'd like to get a chance to meet in person; I'll let you know if I can head that way. In the meantime, stay safe and stay healthy!
If the song is just that short, you might have a better chance paying for a "cameo" where you send them the instrumental bit and ask them to sing it.
A huge sigh of relief for the latest cancer-free scan! As for cavities -- ugh! I can't even go there! Much admiration to you for getting them taken care of because I'm a chicken . . . a yellow-belly . . . a wimp!

Oscar, Ginger, and Zoey will be with you always. It might be a little too soon to pick up on those little "muse clues" but in time you will. Oscar will make sure of it 😻💞

I saw a genetic counselor to assess my risk for any future cancers. Genetics are still a work in progress but I'm very happy work is being done and new studies happen every day. It's exciting actually.
Have you tried sodium fluoride toothpaste from the dentist? That might help you out some.
I'm permanently immunocompromised as well, chronic illness happens and that's how I have to roll.
As for being inspired take a walk outside; you never know!
Oh, goodness, your poor teeth! I wish dental insurance were more similar to medical, I don't like that coverage limits are so common.

Look and see if eastern dental plan is available to you. It’s a out 100 for they year and it’s greatly discounts cleanings/fillings

You should try the dead south or Johnny Flynn or the Staves they are smaller groups but they may be more up for something like that and are ones that really popular too. They perform a lot too and have a dedicated following. Oh and my mom recs Nellie McKay she’s a huge lover of animals and does all sorts of songs. Oh also Villagers and Kurt Vile. If you don’t succeed with the larger artists I would’t give up because there are so many smaller ones that lots of people listen to and go see but they don’t get played on the radio.

I wish I knew good ways to get a hold of someone to do your song, Willie Nelson would be wonderful! He's got a great heart too, and a wonderful disposition. I guess my mom met him in his bar one time but I wasn't with at the time.
I'm spending a lot of time at home, my kitty is 18 or so this month. (I picked him up off the streets and we guessed how old he was back then, around 3ish years old.)
I go to the dentist next week to get a few teeth filled/assessed for pulling, depending on what they find. I'm hoping your teeth behave better than mine! Autoimmune issues really mess with teeth, and other things for sure. Not fun. 😷
I hope you can find your creativity again, but give yourself time to heal. You've got a lot going on still, and I'm hoping you remain cancer free! 🙏
