    Here's a couple more reasons why the Talpiot tomb doesn't make sense:
    1. A Kokhim tomb (horizontal hole in the wall) doesn't fit with an angel at the foot and another at the head. John 20:12
    2. Talpiot is 3 miles from the Old City. We are to believe that Jesus walked 3 miles with the cross? (Jesus was buried "near" where he was crucified.)

      Christians would do everything to prove that Jesus was the messiah. But having a gravesite with the names of all the usual suspects doesn't prove anything. To prove the authenticity of the grave you need to scientifically proof that the names were inscribed at the time of Jesus' death.

      Mark 9
      And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
      ... didn't happen. 😐. And what was an apocalyptic eschatology held by John the Baptist, "Jesus" himself, his brother James, and Paul obviously didn't come..."Jesus" didnt come back like he told those he would.
      Then, people started to die. (I Corinthians) ...and what was just an oral tradition began to be written down. I don't think the Jews even believe "Jesus" was the Messiah let alone God in the flesh.Afterall, he didn't fulfill any of the Jewish Messianic prophecies.
      How is it that many Christians I speak with are not even aware of this? 😐

    • @heavenlyseated1814
      @heavenlyseated1814 Месяц назад

      @@adriansantiago313 Jesus could have never been married because He had the blood of God in Him. If He had gotten married and had children His children would have lived forever. He laid down His life, nobody took it. He chose to be punished, and die our death so we could take part in His resurrection, life and be forgiven of sins.

    • @heavenlyseated1814

      @@aaroncrawford8123 When Jesus was with us, He surely did say the kingdom has come. Everyone around Him saw His power in His earthly walk healing the sick, raising the dead, opening blind eyes. But the greatest power was demonstrated for all to see back then when He died, and arose from the grave three days later with the keys of hell and death. So you see, the Kingdom of God did come with power for many to see before they tasted death. Just like then peoples eyes, minds and hearts are blinded by the God of this world. Repent and believe the good news.

This kind of stuff actually started right after the resurrection as stated in Matthew 28:12 where the chief priests and elders paid the soldiers to say that his disciples stole him away while they slept. Also, there has been controversy brought up about the location of the temple and that might might be a good vlog series for you given your archaeological expertise and knowledge. Shalom.

      Why not? The first written sources, St.Paul's letters from AD 50s do not mention a "tomb story" at all; more, in 1 Corinthians 15:35nn St.Paul made a difference between the resurrected "heavenly body" and "earthly body" (v.40). Only one crucified man was discovered in 1968 in Jerusalem (now in the Israel Museum) but "the thousands of victims crucifixion left not traces save one" (J.D.Crossan, Excavating Jesus",2001,p.289(The Burial of Crucified Criminals). Probably, the same happened to Jesus; Romans crucified 2000 rebels after the death of Herod the Great in 4 BCE and thousands during the siege of Jerusalem in AD 70.

    I like to belive I'm good at archeology: first nation's (before all the ruckus though I do share some condolences if the revelations are true) and Biblical archeology
    I like Allen's posits which are very cogent.
    3. Socioeconomic Theory
    4. Common Name Theory
    Similar to the Bone Box controversy in 2012 though if this was tomb was found in 2005 then the Talpiot tomb would've been one of the first Biblical Reconstructivist controversies (credible that held any sway)
    5. Apostle Conspiracy Theory which doesn't fit the inspired Word
    I haven't poured over the data of the dig. Remember watching Simcha and respected his work but he seem to pander more to Biblical Reconstructionism theories, passively speaking, later on in his career.
    He used tunnel specialists and cameras that broadcasted live. It was similar to Josh Gates Eqypt Live broadcast.
    If they dated it to the Temple Period the only thing left is to do a epi-paleographical statistical analysis maybe mixed in with a Toponomistic study (study of place names a branch of historical archaeology)
    Even after all that effort its still doesn't fit with the Biblical narrative. To that I refer to Tim Mahoneys Patterns of Evidence first video as he struggles with data that he finds along the way or B.A.S.E.S.s Bob Cornuke for examples of following the journey biblically for evidence.

    If not the Holy Sepulcher Church, Garden Tomb, and this Talpiot then maybe the tomb in Galilee in the city of Tsafat(Safed) as mentioned by 16th-century Kabbalistic Rabbi Isaac ben Luria ("the Ari")(James D.Tabor, The Jesus Dynasty,2006:p.237-240). I would not dismiss Simcha (joker) and Tarbor's arguments on this subject; In The Lost Tomb of Jesus on youtube on April 7,2020 and a contra-film by C.Evans in Jesus Tomb Unmasked, we see that Israel's Antiquity Museum staff member simply lied (he denied about the request for the DNA test in 2006 as in Simcha's film)about the DNA test on bones from the Talpiot usuaries which were done at Lakehead Univ. in Ontario. Strange at all, why did they make tests only for "Jesus" and "Mary Magdalene", and discover they were not from the same family tree, but they did not test other bones like that of a child ("Jude son of Jesus"). Of course, there are plenty of questions: why there is no mention of the place of address ("Jesus,..., any from Nazareth") like in other ossuaries, and as You mentioned such (Talpiot) tombs were for rich families but Jesus' one from Nazareth was very poor; more still this dealer Oded Golan who kept "James, the brother of Jesus" ossuary seemed to be a not honest one and was charged by Authorities for selling "fakes" (I do not know the outcome of the court decision).
    For the first Christians, the "empty tomb" was not an issue or important: Acts and NT letters that were written earlier than Gospels' origin- do not mention it at all

    Common names, but very low probability when you put the names in a cluster. The probability is even smaller, much smaller than 1 / 600. The Sanhedron Joseph Rivera Matthias owned the land. This isn't at all wild speculation.

  • @Philip__325

    Dr. James White wrote a book called “From Toronto to Emmaus” in response to the Talpiot tomb “documentary”.
    He thoroughly refutes the claims made, uncovers lies and dishonesty of the filmmakers and people involved in the project, and points to multiple areas where very poor research, scholarship are present in the project.
    Also in a study of over 3,000 Jewish Israeli (Non-diaspora) names from about 250 years before Jesus to 250 years after Jesus revealed this;
    The most popular Female name was Mary (overwhelmingly first place). The 2nd and 5th most Popular male names were Joseph and Jesus.
    In those days second names or titles were used to differentiate people who shared common names. For example, Simon was the most popular male name at that time and the Bible confirms this with not only the high number of Simons but the second names/titles they all have;
    Simon Peter, Simon the Zealot, Simon of Cyrene, Simon the Leper, Simon the Sorcerer, Simon the tanner.
    In order to differentiate who was who, something unique would be used such as; son of, from, job description, medical or physical trait, wife of.
    So if Jesus who was often referred to as being from Nazareth was buried here in Jerusalem it would be more like that “Jesus from Nazareth” would be used instead of “Jesus son of Joseph” as that combination of names was far more common than say a Jesus from Nazareth. His town would be much better to differentiate him than Bar Joseph.
    Anyway, Jesus died, was buried and rose again (bodily) to overcome death and evil. Through our faith in his precious shed blood we will be with him eternally.
