Dear Tim Kirby, I got grey hair, am almost 87, life is what you make it , not anxious for whats around the corner. You are doing just great. Thanks for taking me along. ❤️ from Oregon, 🇺🇸,
Living in the High Desert, looking at Mt. Bachelor every day. Freezing to death in winter, getting bitten by the mosquitoes in spring and summer, wished I were back in Idaho. It is one of those days. ❤ from Oregon.
I grew up in the Canadian arctic. There is nothing that can prepare a person for the sense of majesty of the land and sea and the sense of smallness you feel when you are standing there. It is a harsh, unforgiving, yet absolutely glorious, place. Thanks for sharing.
Then you must be one tough individual. We have filmed up north in winter and it is really hard on a person. People in this part of the world have to think about survival constantly.
ALSIB (or Northern Trace; WW2) is part of the Soviet route Alaska-Siberia/Fairbank-Anadyr and further to the west of the USSR, accepting Lend-Lease aircraft from the North-Western transshipment route. This route was used by US-made aircraft for combat service during World War II on the Eastern Front. On the Soviet side of the route about 60 aircraft were lost, on the US . Maybe this is one of them? During the operation of the air route, 80 aircraft were lost as a result of flight accidents. Of these, 20 are over Alaska and the remaining 60 are over the USSR. In the Li-2 crash of the 5th ferry regiment, which occurred on November 17, 1942 at the Krasnoyarsk airport, 30 people were killed. In total, 115 people died on the air route during its operation. The Americans, while ferrying planes along the route from Great Falls to Fairbanks, lost 133 planes.
43:57 No, you can tell from the swept back wings and the tail structure it is an early jet fighter, from probably 1950-55, long after the 1940's Lend Lease Program.
There are always good relations between Russians and Americans. It is only when the arms merchants want to make money that the trouble is stirred up. In another 10 or 20 years, they will pick somebody else to blame and even the governments will be friends again. We have already seen this theater come and go several times already. The tricks are due to the puppet masters who usually stay out of sight and rely on front men to fool children.@@NatkarchTMC .
8:38 You know the living is rough if even the Eskimos want to abandon the place. You also know the living is rough if even cockroaches and crabgrass won't live there.
If you watch the video and pay attention at the same time, you will notice Tim found an abandoned dwelling site. People don't have to explain what they have done when they have voted with their feet. Unless you can't figure it out.@@siberianyupik5261
Well the thing is that, a lot of poeple are faced with a choice - live a traditional lifestyle that is really rough and takes a ton of effort and dedication or go work at a factory, live in an apartment and play XBOX. This is why a lot of traditional lifestyles die out because they are just really hard compared to 21st century careers.

15:55 Travel tip: next time bring oars or at least canoe paddles, especially for lone boats. At long as they are with you, you won't need any.
Это точно😂 это как с зонтиком, пока он с вами, дождя не будет😅
Exactly true, just like umbrellas.@@MamkoLenko

@@jackieowI think you are right.. but at least the aircraft reminded me the history of good relation between Russians and Americans

Вы были на Чукотке? Эскимосы лично говорили вам, что хотят покинуть Чукотку?
