- This is a CE Board Problem in May 2022.
A simply supported girder of a bridge spans 25m. The standard truck load (H load) consists of 2 moving loads, 4.3m apart. The loads are as follows: 𝑃1=71.2 𝑘𝑁, 𝑃2=17.8 𝑘𝑁
1. Calculate the max. support reaction.
2. Calculate the max. moment in the girder
3. Calculate the max. shear at mid-span.
And in this problem, I choose to do the influence line diagram method.
Reference for this problem is from Besavilla.
Sa problem po, specifically asking for the maximum moment sa girder which is located at the midspan dahil simply supported beam ito. Ang shear naman po asking sa midspan din. Halimbawa po, asking for the maximum shear sa girder, ito po ba ang tamang calculation, (71.2 x1) + (17.8 x 0.828) = 85.9384 kN?
Applicable po ba sa maximum moment ang formula na (PL - Psd)^2 over 4PL?
