Wow Beautiful my friend 👍🎉
My great grandad used to be the driver on the flying Scotsman for many years, so happy to see it on a coin at long last 🥰
Wow. Buying 1 of each different variant has gotta add up big time 😅. Collection must be 💥
we’re talking 6 figures at this point!
Amazing coins so beautiful the silver proofs really like the King Arthur so detailed and clear.
Silver and gold, pieces of eight. Pirate treasure at its finest me hearty 🏴☠️
Great set of coins. I’d love to see more of these videos on regular basis as things get released and appreciate you giving a heads up on future releases as you become aware of them
Some absolutely delightful coins!! That Sovereign is a real gem
Great stuff Christopher 👍🏻
Very cool
Good video as always. Its good to see as i forgot about six pence with the last queen's portrait on so i will be order that thanks for reminder. Good to see all the coin in colour and silver proof too. Amazing work always.
CHARLES III D.G. REX KILTY BOY BIG SILVERY PENCE
Sorry, couldn't resist a little skit there. Nice collection, Christopher. The Martin Jennings portrait is very well done, I like it a lot.
These days I'm more of a fan of the ancestors myself, particularly Victoria and George VI coins (they both take fantastic obverse portraits, in my opinion). I've been collecting florins, shillings and colonial piastres of late.
What a GREAT collection of STUNNING Coins Christopher money well spent Buddy.
Brilliant unboxing 😄, my favourite is the memorial five pound coin with the younger and older Queen on it 👍
Your collection gets bigger and bigger.
That sovereign is amazing, nice to see the unboxing 👌
Definitely fantastic purchase’s. I do like the Gold Sovereign 👌👍
What a good range of new coins. love the Tutankhamun coin. The double-headed coin with the queen on one side and the king on the other made me smile as I did comment some time ago that they should do that.
Hi Christopher, Would you consider doing individual reviews for BUC coins? I know you did previously on the channel and they were my favourites!
Hi Christopher another great video some really lovely coins you have there 👍 I have been buying £2 coins and adding to my Tudor beasts collection as well as getting dome of the 2023 coins with the queen on them
Hi Chris! I'm a bit of a newbie to all of this but I've been watching your videos for the last couple of weeks and I love it!! Especially the foreign coins. And I don't know why but I really feel the need to inform you that I found a Florence nightingale £2 with correct side inscription earlier. Peace out much love!
I got my Flying Scotsman £2 via Royal Mail as part of a first day cover package a couple of weeks ago.
Lovely coins Christopher. The completionist in you is going to make your life expensive as the Royal Mint continues to increase its output. The memorial sovereign is spectacular. I have given up trying to keep up and mainly buy the BU versions with a few silver proofs of designs I particularly like.
Very nice that sovereign is beutifull. I have braught all the other products in this video
The sovereigns with different designs are about the only coins I buy from RM unless I get a good deal on silver or it’s a low mintage or nice.
Each year Christopher’s home insurance creeps upwards LOL. I’d hate to think what that lot cost. Very impressive as a non-coin collector (I collect vintage Matchbox vehicles 1953-1982 which can be seen in my RUclips channel) I think your collection is really impressive. I have no intention of becoming a numismatist, but do only have a 1986 non-bimetallic £2 which I have had since then, and should a Kew Gardens 50p end up in my change I will keep it - and probably a few others if I see them. Keep up the great work Christopher.
My GOD your bank balance has taken one hell of a beating! Do love that gold sovereign very jealous but far too rich for my blood!
With the Memorial Privy mark set being on sale in the run up to Christmas, I had to decline the chance to get one. But recently I've managed to buy a set on the secondary market for just £15 more than the original price, which I was really pleased with, especially as the prices have since rocketed past £130.
King Arthur and Jenner proofs are standout buy for me.👍
I agree that the Windrush is much better in real life.
Will you ever do a video of the coins you bought from Britannia Coin Company? 😊
Not many people can say their coin collection is heavier than them
😂
Hi
Great unboxing. I have 120+ waiting for me to open when I return to the UK after a 4 year gap. Always enjoy your videos. Kiwi19 🇳🇿
Newbie question….. but could you get a rotation error on one of these limited run sets? And what would you do if you found one?!
I just can't seem to get a vibe from coloured coins. Don't know why. I guess I'm old fashioned and like a silver coin.
Is it a good idea to leave them unopened for a while in case there is a problem and you need a replacement?
❤
Just a thought I've been getting my £5, £2, and 50p coins from Westminster would the Royal Mint sets be a better buy. Look forward to doing the next strike your own soon 🤞😄
Well next to none of them will increase in price in our lifetimes unless it’s the very rare, low mintage design that takes off like the first great engravers releases.
If by Westminster releases you mean the Jersey or the like releases they put out the chances of any of them increasing in value are even lower than the Royal Mint releases.
👍👍👍👍👍
Just bought Harry & Meghan syo!
First👍
Coins
the other day i found a free coin that i could get in a thing that came throught the post. Its got the picture of the coin . Its a tutenkhamun coin. it was free and only £2.99 to pay to get it sent. What does it mean when it says the coin is legal tender, but the coin says its half a crown. Its not a 50p or £2 or anything. it says half a crown but i dont think you can buy anything with that...
I’d be surprised if it’s legal tender in the UK since the half crown was withdrawn way back around 1970 when we went decimal. Unless it’s from one of the Channel Islands or something where it may not have been withdrawn? It isn’t just being called a half crown with an actual value of £2.50 on it or something?
Oh and legal tender doesn’t mean shops have to accept it, just that you can pay a legal bill with it. If you are taken to court for non payment, are fined or similar and offer legal tender you can’t be found guilty of non payment iirc.
ooh. ok. thats cool. i dont see it saying anything on the coin. only words HALF CROWN @@murph8411 i wont of tried to use it or anything but it was just weird that it said it . but i get it now. i didnt get the coin. i did think about it but in end didnt. i think did the right thing lol. still looked good thp
I never understood why they call him king Tut shouldn’t it be king Toot
Meh, im not a fan of all those beasts and mythical coins
Sticking to circulating coins and NIFC versions of them is where it is at for me 50p’s and £2
The rest, as far as i can make out, are purely just a money making scheme, especially the gold and silver ones
If anyone is interested in Scotland and n Ireland £2 coins, Olympic tennis, magna carta, King James bible , navy 1st WW,Olympic centenary and a few more nice coins?
They do a £5 coin so why not a £10 £20 and £50 coin too
They have done In the past £100 £50 and £20 but they didn't produce them for long. I've bought one of each just to say I've got one. eBay sell them I paid £90 for the £100 £40 for the £50 and £20 for the £20. So still out there 🤞
@@glynbratcher5338they were accepted by post offices and some banks when they first came out so some people bought them at face value and used them in the odd supermarket that accepted them or cashed them in at banks to use the cash back offers on their cards giving them a profit.
I remember one guy ran up thousands of pounds on credit cards only for the mint to advise banks to stop taking them. He was complaining about being thousands in debt.
i managed to get the 3 memorial coins i wanted on ebay, the 50p, £1 and £2 for my definitive date runs. one guy had more than 10 sets opened up. it would've been good to do a definitive shield/britannia set with charles portrait.
