    Bought one of these after watching this video. Your video was very informative and answered every question I had about this product. Will be great to use this for work, thank you! Cheers from Canada.

    I've seen several videos on this specific saw and yours is far and away the best one as you compared the previous model with the new model.

    Love makita 18v line but milwaukee M12 has pretty cool stuff.

    I just bought one of these for a new project. The saw is well thought out with a lot of improvements, as you noted in the video. The one thing I don't like is that it seems to cover the front of my shirt with sawdust if I use it as I normally would. I have to stand a bit differently to keep it away from me. But the saw works very well, and I'm sure I'll put it to the test building the 10X12 chicken coop I'm starting this weekend.

    I've bought the DHS680(I guess its only differences are the metruc scales.)some weeks ago.
    So far it's doing great in terms of power and runtime.

    Awesome video bro. I was undecisive about going for a makita, milwaukee or bosch till I saw your video.

    you sir have opened my eyes to makita. since you 12 volt combo give away i have bought 5 makita tools. everyone of them is a step above the other brands. i only wish their sliding miter saws were as good as the others. great video as always man.

    My saw burned up in a year. I love Makita, this was my first brushless tool and it left a bad taste in my mouth about brushless tools. It did kick ass though.

    • @whatfreedom7
      @whatfreedom7 5 лет назад +2

      That sucks. My first brushless was my milwaukee screwdriver. It went into overload protection every time I tried to use it and went up in smoke literally the second use.

    I was considering this or the newer, lighter model (XSH04?) which was a bit cheaper. Amazon had this model (bare tool) $199. Just for grins, I looked it up on Home Depot. They have this saw WITH a 5AH battery for $189 and free shipping to your house. Needless to say out came the credit card. I like this better than the cheaper model which I believe is right hand motor, battery goes in from the bottom, seems to have the depth adjustment in a more awkward spot between the blade and handle and has a plastic blade guard. It might be a bit lighter though and I don't think it had the rafter hook. Anyway, if you're looking at this review on June 6th, 2020 and are considering this saw run to the Home Depot website.

    I ordered a tool kit that came with this saw, excited to use it for the first time! When turning the Allen key to remove the blade, is that kind of a standard with this type of saw that it is reverse threaded? Turning clockwise to loosen? Not a huge deal but I guarantee I'll forget about that when I go to change it for the first time and I hope I don't strip it out or something.

    • @bobcougar77
      @bobcougar77 4 года назад +3

      Yes, all circular saws are reverse threaded. The reason is so when the blade spins physics wants to tighten the nut rather than loosen it if we're a standard thread.

      +victor feliciano Thank you! I'm a Makita guy. Used to be service manager at a warrenty center for 5 years and I worked on all major brand of power tools. I don't have any Milwaukee tools. I know they're great though... I can tell you that this saw is a beast! Very nice! Tons of power. I don't know how they can pack that kind of power into a cordless tool. I hope this info helps

    This is a really good cir saw, and it's blade left!! hahaha. It is lightweight, powerful for its size.
    Sorry for the dumb question but...Is there a way to slow down the RPM a bit on it?
    I don't know anything about electronics etc, but kinda hack...it has no load speed 5,000 RPM....and drop it down like 3,900 RPM ??
    Thanks

    On the old one you could tape the Allen key to the handle.

    whats the difference between the Makita Dhs680z and the Makita Dhs680 ?

  • @tim62744
    @tim62744 2 года назад

    Brushless tools when the trigger or battery terminals go or other parts they cannot be replaced because they have them all connected together so will cost much more to fix than a brushed tool

      victor feliciano in my humble opinion, they're the best. I'm probably biased though. I love Makita! to a non biased person I'd bet that they'd say they're definitely in the top 3...

      Makita is the best. My Dad use to like dewalt until I started to buy Makita. Milwaukee is okay to add that in there. Some say there all built at same place, a stack of burnt up dewalts proves that to be untrue. Just remember whatever brand You choose use that genuine brand name batteries. God bless
