    Great, took me almost 20 years to find out why I had a bad/crashed anchor despite a very good cast until viewing it in slomotion. My problem was lifting too quickly, then dipping my rod U shaped to create the anchor. Result was the creation a convex shape line in the upward direction, then on the swing back the belly of the line hit the water first which stops, subsequently the rest of the line following onto the belly like spaghetti. I'm still doing it to a degree but at least I know the problem and once get into the swing things improve. See that Gordons line hits the water straight, leader and line, perfect anchor.

      I'll do one for sure. I just never remember when I'm on the river. Should have had it done by this time. Thanks for the reminder.
